Sarri 433 FM22 Tactics

After years of Football Manager that I try to faithfully recreate the tactical style of managers like Sarri, Guardiola and control possession \ tiki taka systems without ever succeeding (because the past editions of FM did not allow this), this year it is finally possible.

Therefore here is my emulation of Sarri, studied in the period that he was in Napoli, that is the moment of his maximum splendor.

From the studies carried out (and in any case his game was there for all to see) it can be said that his Napoli had a starting point of 433 which then in the development of possession transformed into a 3133 with the advancement of the full-back who pushes more (you have time Ghoulam on the left) while the other remained more cautious in the line of defenders.

The development of the maneuver always started from the ball to the ground for the two central defenders who then leaned on the playmaker the field in search of the areas to better receive the ball from them (Jorginho at the time).

With the team very tight, keeping only the full-back wide and leaving total freedom on the right outside of the attack to find the spaces behind the defenders and then be served through holes (Insigne / Callejon), or always looking for movement of the midfielder (Hamsik in particular).

In the non-possession phase, the team sided with a 4141 with the two attacking wingers who lower themselves to the midfielders' line and the team gets up to seek immediate recovery of the ball in the opposing half-field.

The tactics and roles of FM

Let's start with the goalkeeper who is a free attacking goalkeeper since Reina played more with his feet than with his hands and was the first game imposter.

A central defender is one who sets while the other is classic

For the left backs we have a fluid defender with plans to push forward as soon as possible and reach the bottom while the other has the task of remaining a little more blocked.

The left winger (Insigne) is an inverted winger with the task of returning to the middle of the field and crossing from afar to the far post or shooting at goal.
The other is Callejon, with the task of finding the spaces behind the defenders.

The point is freedom of movement, dribble more and pull less just to allow the movements to come out and the insertions of the companions and himself.

Sarri's game cannot be photographed but must be seen and in the video you can see the long and dense network of passages with a number of them for very high action for FM, never under 10 in the same action, in one in particular they are even 18 before reaching the shot !!

Tested with Lazio

I tested the tactics with his Lazio and I remember that I test in the dry season without a transfer market for the team I use but for the others yes, without special training and without ever changing tactics either before or during the game and these are the results:
