This database takes you back to the 1976-77 season. Relive and change the history with some of the biggest legends of all time.

This is the full and complete database version. You can choose between 9 playable leagues in 8 nations!

Travel back in time to an era of football where some of the greatest players of all time roamed the world. This Football Manager 2021 throwback database brings back some epic teams, managers and players from around the world in the original leagues and teams from 1976/77. If you don't remember 1970's football, this is a great and fun opportunity to learn about an epic football era.

This is the 1976/77 season database. Everything in the FM21 database, has been reverted to 1976. All the leagues are as they where back in 1976, with all the teams from back then. So now you have the chance to train and coach all the legends from the beginning of the century, in the best football management simulation game ever. To get the full experience please read the instructions below.

How to play Season 1976/77 on FM21

0. Extract the contents of the downloaded .zip file with a free file archiver program such as 7-zip for Windows of The Unarchiver for Mac.

1. Move the 1976-77.fm file to your "games" folder:
Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2021/games

2. Open Football Manager 2021 > Load Game > Select the 1976-77 option

3. Add your manager and select the club you want to manage.

Graphics instructions (optional)
1. Move the folder named "1976-77 graphics" folder to your "graphics" folder.
Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2021/graphics/

Important: Make sure you have it first in the list inside the graphics folder, you DO NOT need to delete any other graphics.

2. Open FM21 > Preferences > Interface, and hit the "clear cache" button - then return on the same screen and "reload skin".

Hi Everyone,

Just found this. it looks great, and I'm going to start a game straight away!

Three questions, please, to anyone who knows:

1) Is there an annual youth intake?
2) Are the European club competitions working properly, that is to say - do the League winners qualify for the European Cup?
3) Can we play for unlimited seasons

Hi, everything is good but there is one important problem, I am managing Juventus, and at the end of the month I faced a terrible picture, of course it's natural for us to lose money, but I don't think it's normal to gain £186k and lose £961k, this is the first time I've experienced this career and I have not face to such a profit and loss statement in my past careers,is this a bug or what, I never understood where this money went.can you inform me about this, my club will go bankrupt in 2 months (No transfer costs)

At the time there was only 3 players allowed on the bench in English Leagues

The bench only fit for 3 players.. Is is a bug or at that year we are only allowed for three subs at bench? I'm playing English Premier League btw

@FMhistoricalDB The database is great work. The monthly awards still have English Premier league, Championship etc and maybe use real name club fixes if possible. Also maybe add staff and players to English Third and Forth Divisions.
