A relentless overachieving overpowered tactic for sub-top and lower league sides in Football Manager 2022.
This tactic was created by a friend on discord, his name is Stan. And he gives basically the tips, guidelines on how to approach the tactic.
In today's video, I tested Stan's tactic with lower-league sides and underdog sides in their respective leagues and the results were amazing. The one big team testing this tactic is Napoli, I added them just to see how well it would do with a top side.
Note that these tests were conducted with Injuries on, and fatigue also on, with Assistant managers running the teams.
Teams Tested: Kaiserslautern(GER), Hamburg SV (GER), Leeds United (ENG), Queen of the South (SCO), Waterford (IRE), SSC Napoli(ITA), US Lecce (ITA)
Tactic Description:
It’s a positive setup with this 4-2-3-1, deploying a flat back four and two inverted wingbacks on both wide flanks.
The two central defenders are ball-playing defenders and the goalkeeper behind them is a sweeper keeper on support duty.
In defensive midfield, the pivot is a Regista who somewhat operates like a holding midfielder. In an event where he drifts too far away, the Inverted wingbacks will cover for him.
The intensity is high so in the case of red cards, you take off the Regista and play at a slower tempo to protect the game.
In midfield, one Mezzala on attack duty is used, crazy I know. There is a winger on attack duty just to the left of the mezzala and an inverted winger on support on the right side. The attacking midfielder is a shadow striker on attack and the central striker is a pressing forward on attack.
For team instructions, the mentality is positive to allow the team to play on the front foot, but the tempo is high to increase the urgency of movement.

All the teams tested in this series got big results with the tactic, most of them winning their respective leagues.
Much Credit to Stan for creating this goal machine.
