Tricky Treqs // Incredible 5-2-3 Wide

A Fergie 'style' you score 2 we score 3 sort of tactic. Won a double with Portsmouth (league and cup double) with some impressive stats.

This 523 wide tactic has wide trequartistas pushing narrow with both wingbacks overlapping and whipping in hundreds of crosses for the front 3 (most in the league and both had 14 assists in the season).

Its not a gegenpressing tactic but it guarantees you goals and defends with 7 players whilst not killing your players fitness. Best of both worlds. The defensive approach resulted in the fewest shots faced (410), and having the most interceptions with 955 leading to lovely counter attacks.

The dribbling wide players (784 dribbles) meant we were the most fouled team in the league, and got us 14 penalties! Whilst we were the cleanest team with only 19 yellow cards and 0 red cards across an entire year.

Highest shots per game ratio in the league with 14.48 spg. 666 throughout the season. Resulting in 121 goals, 31 higher than the team in second. Conceding the fewest goals as well with 51. Top scorer with 33 goals from Novakovic in the league alone.

I can not recommend this tactic highly enough, been a joy to create and to use. Playing beautiful football.

Recommended that the left treq is right footed and right treq is left footed as they cut inside.















I can not recommend enough that you try this tactic.

Worked wonders in the Polish second division winning the league with Kotwica Kołobrzeg before I jumped ship to league one with Pompey and won the league and cup double with them.
