Any questions message me on Discord or Twitter and let me know how you do in your saves with the tactic.

All tests were done by holidaying the season so by managing yourself you should get even better results.

The Tests

Man UTD, RB Leipzig, Lokomotiv Moscow and Liverpool.

I chose these teams based on RB Leipzig and Lokomotiv Moscows links with Rangnick and his imminent move to MAN UTD. The decision to run the test with Liverpool is due to Klopp's previous comments about the impact Rangnick has had on his tactic style. It's because of this Liverpool have been built to play a Gengen press and do this to a very high standard. This is why I wanted to see what the tactic could produce with a team made for it.

The tactic is based on Ralf Rangnicks favoured formation the 4222. While making the tactic I have included a false 9 which is not a role you are likely to see within his tactic. However, this is the only striker role within FM22 that drops deep, presses and does not slow up the play the way one of the strikers would within his system. I felt it was more important to get the overall system correct rather than worry about the name of the roles in it which is why this is included.

When Utd get used to the shape Rangnick wants those two 6's will very rarely join attacks. You can't use the first game against a poor Palace as the perfect example. At RBL the 6's were anchoring nearly all the time.

Anyway, enough of that. Other than the 6's I like the tactic.

Again YAMS going to have to disagree. As i said fred was often on the edge of the box as shown with a few shots including the goal and Mctom was the one in the box flicking it back to Dalot for his shot in the first half. Like i said he primarily stayed back but it isn't a strict demand.

Both cms are not as defensive as you seem to think but certainly it is a important part of their role.

Maybe tweak it if you feel it should play differently.

Even the BWMS is too attacking. His two 6's only very occasionally join the attack. The whole point of the two 6's is to provide cover for the wing backs.

I'll have to disagree @YAMS as Fred was definitely playing the box to box role on the weekend and had a number of shots from the edge of the box while Mctomminay stayed deeper for the majority of the game

This is too susceptible to the counter attack to be a true Rangnick tactic. He uses two sitting 6's as a double pivot to protect the counter.

This is a great tactics. Well done.
I tested it in lower leagues and works well too.
