Today we take some time to recreate Chris Wilder's 3-5-2, That bought him some very good results at his time with Sheffield especially.
Known for the overlapping centre backs we tried everything we could to replicate the style of the centre backs within this tactic, and I am happy to say I feel like this tactic does a good job at that.
Expect to see triangles develop on both sides of the pitch made up of your wide centre back, wing back and number 8. This is done to play out from the deeper areas and get moving into the oppositions half and forge the attack.
We tested with 3 teams Wilder has been involved in below you can see the results.
Test 1- Middlesbrough
Test 2 - Northampton
Test 3 - Sheffield

If you guys would like a much more in depth break down of this tactic then do check out the video at the top of the page, there was a lot of work put into recreating this tactic so any support is highly appreciated.
