Vlaanderen - New Nation Scenario

In this scenario, Vlaanderen (Flandres) has become an independent nation. Vlaanderen is not understood in the modern way as the dutch speaking part of Belgium. But Vlaanderen as the historical region that existed during the late Middle Ages. So it includes the modern provinces West- and East-Vlaanderen, but also the Walloon region around Tournai and parts of the Netherlands (Zeeuws-Vlaanderen) and France (Frans-Vlaanderen).

The full pyramid is playable divided in seven tiers. The top-flight will get a new mix of clubs, probably dominated by Club Brugge, AA Gent en LOSC Lille. As Vlaanderen is a dutchspeaking nation; The citys and clubs from Frans-Vlaanderen are renamed in their historical Dutch names. (So Lille is called Rijsel, Dunkerque is called Duinkerken etc.) This new mix can be a challenge to give one of the clubs to European success. Or you can climb up the pyramid with your local club.

The national team will be new too. All players that are born within this region are out the playerpools of Belgium, France and the Netherlands and got the nationality of Vlaanderen. So you have to build this new team around Kevin De Bruyne, Charles De Ketelaere and Raphael Varane.



The download has a fmf-file. Put that in your 'Editor Data'-folder to start a new save.
Also included are some pictures. The Kits-folder for the national team is ready to go. Put it in your kits-folder and run reload skin.
For the national flags and logos that are included, you have to replace them in all the relevant folders with the '778'-pngs already there. These are the Liechtenstein logos, so I advise you first store them separately for your next saves.

I did some tests, it all seems to work well. Only if you play in Dutch, sometimes in messages Vlaanderen is called Liechtenstein. I haven't yet figured out how to remove that. In English, I haven't seen this issue.
