The Al-Futtaim Group is making waves by acquiring prominent European football clubs, aiming to channel oil wealth into strengthening Dubai’s global image and expanding its influence in the world of sports. This high-profile move marks an ambitious era for the group, led by the visionary Emirati billionaire Abdulla Al Futtaim.
With an estimated net worth of $2.2 billion as of October 2021, Abdulla Al Futtaim stands as one of Dubai’s wealthiest individuals. Known for his strategic investments, he has now purchased Millwall Football Club in England, Malaga CF in Spain, and Toulouse FC in France. Following extensive negotiations with previous owners and some initial concerns from fans, excitement is building across these clubs as they prepare for significant transformations under Al-Futtaim’s leadership.
Al-Futtaim Group’s European football strategy draws inspiration from successful models like the City Football Group, bringing extensive financial resources and top-tier talent to each club. Txiki Begiristain, former Manchester City sports director, will direct Millwall’s future; Zeljko Buvac, former Liverpool assistant to Jurgen Klopp, will lead Malaga’s path forward; and Rodolfo Borrell, former assistant to Pep Guardiola, will take the helm at Toulouse. Al-Futtaim’s aim is clear: to elevate these clubs’ competitive positions within European football and foster long-term growth.
Key Areas of Transformation and Investment
- Financial Support and Sponsorships
- Infrastructure and Youth Development
Each club will benefit from substantial financial backing, along with exclusive sponsorship agreements with Nike, positioning them for success.
Millwall Football Club:
A new stadium (Millwall Stadium) will open on August 1, 2024, accompanied by a state-of-the-art training facility set to launch on July 1, 2024. Youth development at Millwall is rated 5/5.
Malaga CF:
Renovations on a 50,000-capacity stadium and modern training grounds will solidify Malaga’s standing in La Liga in the future!
Youth development is also rated 5/5.
Toulouse FC:
A newly built stadium and training facility, both set to open in summer 2024, will position Toulouse as a key team in Ligue 1, with top-rated youth development.
Emphasis on Local Talent
Al-Futtaim Group emphasizes cultivating local talent over relying heavily on star signings, though initial investments will be essential to propel each club to new heights. Abdulla Al Futtaim envisions a lasting legacy for these clubs, combining resources, expertise, and structured planning to ensure a thriving future.

Please make sure to check for compatibility with other editor files in the game to avoid potential ID conflicts with kits and logos that might cause crashes and not working. Make sure that you not have added other Editor files that can occupie the ID number!
How to Install
1. Place the editor file (".fmf") into the "editor data" folder in your Football Manager 2024 directory.
2. Add the logos and kits folders to the "Graphics" folder in your Football Manager 2024 directory. If a "Graphics" folder doesn't exist, create one.
If you have added additional leagues to the game through editor data, there may be ID conflicts with kits and logos, which could prevent them from displaying correctly.
To update the ID numbers:
Go to FM Settings and enable the option to show IDs.
Next, go to the club's page, where you'll see the club's ID displayed next to its name.
For example: "20241102"
Open the downloaded graphics folder and rename all files with the original ID (e.g., "2000339408") to your club's specific ID (e.g., "20241102").
Update the config.xml file in the same way (open with Notepad to edit).
Reload your skin in FM Settings with the cache disabled, and you’re all set!
