OVERVIEW
Overview
This 4-2-3-1 system was built to deliver sustained attacking pressure, consistent chance creation, and high goal output across a full season. The focus is on balance between control and aggression, allowing the tactic to perform reliably without becoming overly chaotic.
The system was tested over a full FM26 campaign and produced 300+ goals across all competitions, while also delivering silverware at league and cup level. Additional testing through a powerhouse test confirmed that the goal output remained consistent even with higher-quality opposition.
Key Features
High-output attacking 4-2-3-1 structure
Strong central combinations supported by wide threats
Pressing system designed to win the ball high
Consistent chance creation rather than reliance on long shots

KEY PLAYER PERFORMANCE
Evanilson was the standout performer within this system, acting as the primary focal point of the attack. His movement, finishing, and ability to lead the line played a major role in maintaining the tactic’s high scoring output across all competitions.
The structure is designed to consistently supply the striker with quality chances rather than relying on individual brilliance alone.

Testing Methodology
Testing was carried out using a 70/30 split between holiday and manual play. The majority of league fixtures were holidayed for consistency, while cup matches and key league games were played manually.
Set pieces and training were handled in the same way as in my long-term livestream saves, with no testing-specific optimisation.
A rotation of three closely related variants was used throughout the season. These were small tweaks of the base tactic designed to suit different game states and opposition approaches, reflecting realistic long-term save usage rather than reliance on a single static setup.
FINAL NOTES
I’m Josh Daly, a full-time Football Manager content creator, working with the game on a daily basis. Because this is my full-time role, I spend 12–14 hours a day on Football Manager across testing, livestream saves, tactical development, and content production.
I have 40,000+ YouTube subscribers, have worked on the FMScout YouTube channel for over two years, and currently support a community of 7,000+ Patreon members — the largest Patreon page dedicated to Football Manager content. This demonstrates the loyalty and trust people have in my work.
The tactics I share here are built and tested using the same approach I apply to my long-term saves and live content, not one-off simulations.
I’m proud of the community around my work and the level of discussion it creates, and I’m always open to constructive feedback and genuine tactical debate.

Discussion: The Great 4231 FM26 Tactic Scored 300+ Goals

Actually, that’s not quite it. His strategy is flood, flood, and more flood. The more trash he dumps onto the web, the more idiots will be found to click the link and visit his channel. It is a completely cynical and immoral, yet effective, channel promotion strategy. But from my point of view, this also ruins the reputation of fmscout among others; personally, I wouldn't allow such things on my own resource.
I think he's sick and thinks he's coming up with the best tactics.
That's what I was talking about, it boosts the stats in the editor.
Also, the screenshots have nothing to do with the upload. In principle, he only has about a dozen screenshots that he publishes in absolutely every upload. Is this allowed?
you've been told over and over again that your tactics suck, so just give it up and stop spamming 20 per day.
