The 2014 Vancouver Whitecaps have arrived and are ready. for a good preseason. This includes new signings Freddy Adu and Omar Gonzalez who joined the club in the last few weeks. Also Spanish Gk Fabricio will be on trial with the club in the coming weeks. Also Whitecap fans will be able to see the three players that were signed at the end of last years summer transfer window!!
Final roster moves should be announced by the start of March.

VANCOUVER- Earlier today Vancouver traded for GK Sean Johnson of the Columbus Crew. The deal is reported to be worth $1.5M. Johnson will be a quality keeper that Vancouver was needing. Johnson has the most MLS experience ut of the three keepers on the squad.

In other news Marco Di Valo could be out of Vancouver by the time the season starts. There are rumors that he is upset over the purchase of Carlos Fierro.

Preseason prediction;
"Vancouver will win the Canadian Championship and will have a strong season making it to the Western Conference Final.

Breakout player:
"Carlos Fierro will be the breakout player for us, as you all know he lead scoring in the Desert Diamond Cup with 5 goals."

"Join me everyday from 3-4 pm as we discuss all things Whitecaps, this year after each month we will host a special 2 hour episode to talk about the previous month on the first Monday."

"Hey hey hey, its Peter Schaad, for Whitecaps FC Daily today is Tuesday March 1st 2014. This is our first two hour show of the season, we will be talking about each of the games so far."

"It was a good first month for the boys, so far they have accumulated 10 points and are tied for first."







"As you can see it has been a good month for the club and the team is looking great. Carlos Fierro has been the most outstanding player this month."

"Vancouver starts April hosting New York on the 5th."

2014 Voyageurs Cup

The Voyageurs Cup welcomes a new club to the competition, Ottawa Fury FC of the NASL. This will also be the first time with the format. In the last few years the four clubs were randomly drawn. This year will introduce the Qualifying Round between the two NASL Clubs. The winner will face one of the three MLS Clubs in the semis.

Dates:
4/9/14 Qualifying Round
4/23/14 Semi Final First Leg
4/30/14 Semi Final Second Leg
5/14/14 Final First Leg
5/28/14 Final Second Leg

Ottawa beat Edmonton by a score of 3-2 and will advance to the semi final.

Draw:
Toronto v. Vancouver
Ottawa v. Montreal

2014 Voyageurs Cup Final is Set

Both Montreal and Vancouver advance to the final!!This will be the first time these two meet in the final and it all starts 5/14/14.

Vancouver made it to the final by beating Toronto on a 3-0 aggregate score.

Montreal made it by beating Ottawa on a 4-2 aggregate score.
