@ Wellsy thanks!! The current chapter is going to be very exciting for me.
Interview Day!!
6:30 AM
(Phone rings)
"Heloo" (still half asleep)
"Mr. Korrigan this is the front desk for your wake up call."
"Oh, right, thanks."
(Phone hangs up)
(Takes shower, turns on TSN, goes for breakfast)
It is now 8:00 AM and I am now on my way to the CSA headquarters for the 9:30 interview. Oh boy this will be fun I have never been to Ottawa and the traffic sucks right now, god I hope I get there on time. "Arrive at destination on the right" goes my GPS. Woo I made it on time and ready. I enter and sign in.
(Few minutes later)
"Mr. Korrigan they are ready." A voice says
"Michael it is finally nice to meet you, please take a seat"
(Sits down)
"Tell me why you want this job."
"I have a vision that one day soccer in Canada will be as popular as hockey and he country will be regulars in the World Cup. I feel that my leadership could be a major benefit."
" The one thing I see that could be an issue is your age since you are only 27. If you do not get this job would you be willing to get another job with the national team?
"Yes, my specialty is working with academies and youth." (Tells about experience in those ranks."
"What would you do to help the game grow in Canada?"
"Work with each province in a nation wide partnership to grow the game in all levels and increase fan support" (shows report made for the idea)
"Wow very impressive Michael, these look amazing."
"Thank you"
"One thing before the interview ends you will need to know this." "When you get the job you will have to resign from Vancouver as soon as possible." "If you get a job with the U-23s and lower we will let you continue your job until the end of the season." Is this ok??
"Yes"
"Well then we will let you know in a few months."
"See you later"
Wow that went well but i doubt I will be getting the job, it seems like I might be a bit under qualified but who know, it was an amazing experience. I can't wait to see what happens. Time for my flight back to Vancouver in a few hours.
