STV - Good morning Emmanuel, lets get right down to business. It's not been long since you signed for Spurs on a permanent basis, why do you want to leave?

EA - Don't get me wrong Spurs are a good side and I would love to stay, but I can't, I need first team football and i feel I will get it a AC Milan.

STV - How has your manager André reacted to your transfer request?

EA - He has been extremely helpful. He first said that if the right bid come in he will accept it and it did so he stuck to his word.

STV - How do you feel the fans will feel when you depart?

EA - I DON'T KNOW, I think they will be pretty disappointed, but as I said I DON'T KNOW!

Some quality updates :). Could you give us some screenshots of the league, EL and stuff like that? Be sure to sell some players that don't play as much, like Adebayor! Keep on!

Manager Notes

A superb unbeaten month for us in the Premier League, the only defeat coming against Reading in the Capital One Cup. We're third in the league, hopefully we can stay there or get higher. Meanwhile Emmanuel Adebayor has left to go to AC Milan for 12 million. We are all deeply saddened that he has left but he had to leave, he was not happy here. I'm going to be looking to bring in some new faces and maybe let some go. We have also been drawn to play Portuguese side P. Ferreira in the first knockout round of the Europa League.

First Signing of 2013


Tottenham Hotspur have today announced the signing of central defender Kyriakos Papadopoulos from German side Schalke, for a fee thought to be 13 million.

Papadopoulos signed for Schalke at the start of the 2010-11 season for a fee of 2.1 million from Olympiakos. Dubbed to be the next Ricardo Carvalho, he expect to grow into a world class player. During his time in Germany he racked up a total of 57 Bundesliga appearances scoring 3 goals. Despite being a fan favorite at Schalke he unhappy with life at the club, hence Spurs buying him. He will hopefully prove to be a fan favorite at White Hart Lane for years to come.

STV are here today to interview Spurs most recent signing Kyriakos Papadopoulos. He will be answering in German as he has not learnt English yet.

STV: Now Kyriakos what made you choose to join Spurs?

Kyriakos: Spurs spin ein wirklich gutes team und ich wollte schon immer in England spielen.(Spurs are a really good team and I have always wanted to play in England.

STV Can you speak any other languages apart from Greek and German?

Kyriakos: Ich spreche ein wenig spanisch, aber ich mochte Englisch lernen. (I can speak a little bit of Spanish, but I want to learn English)

STV: Who is your favorite teammate at the club so far?

Kyriakos: Es muss Michael Dawson, so ist er einer der schonsten, den ich je getroffen habe. (It has to be Michael Dawson, he is one of the nicest person I have ever met)

STV: Who do you think the best player at the club is?

Kyriakos: Meiner meinung nach ist es André Ayew, er ist klasse. (In my opinion it's André Ayew, he is class)

STV: Finally, what do you think of your manager?

Kyriakos: André ist ein brillanter manager und ein fantastischer freund, ich konnte nicht der fur jedermann fragte besser. (André is a brilliant manager and a fantastic friend,I couldn't of asked for anyone better)

Spurs have to today completed the deals to bring Martin Kelly to the club and to send Danny Rose to Liverpool.

Kelly, 23, has been at Liverpool the whole of his career but hasn't really impressed much, having never scored a goal for them. The England international broke into the first team in the 2010-11 season racking up 28 appearances for the club. In the 2008-09 he spent a season long loan a Huddersfield where he played 7 appearances, scoring 1 goal. Villas-Boas had this to say after the signing had been completed "Having Martin (Kelly) at the club is a massive boost, he can play center back and right back. He is also a very strong and physical defender which will make it hard for any striker".

Rose, 23, who is heading the opposite way to Kelly was thought to be surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane hence the swap deal. The English left back was signed from Leeds in the 2007-08 season for a fee of 1 million. During his time at Tottenham he has spend most of his time on loan at different clubs including Sunderland, Peterborough, Bristol City and Watford. After Rose had left Villas-Boas had this to say "We are all deeply saddened with the departure of Danny (Rose). We wish him all the best at his new club".

Manager Notes

A decent month with 5 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss. Unfortunately we have been knocked out of the FA Cup against Manchester City, and to be honest they deserved to win, we were terrible. Second in the league is not to bad for us, but look at high-flying Stoke top of the league, WOW. We have had rather a lot of injuries this month so I think we have done rather well depending on the players we have had available. Hopefully next month we will have less injuries.

Manager Notes

An unbeaten month for me and the team in all competitions. I'm quite please with the draw against Arsenal because I played a few youth players including Kenneth McEvoy. Manchester United have one the Capital One Cup, beating Reading 2-1. In the Europa League we have been drawn to play Wigan Athletic after they won 3-2 over two legs. With 10 games to go hopefully we can try and win the league, I think it will be quite hard though, as Man City will prove tough to knock off the top.

STV Interview: Soldado's Return

STV are here today to interview Spanish striker Roberto Soldado who will soon be returning to playing for the Spurs squad.

Roberto: It's great, who'd of thought that kicking a people could make me so happy.

STV: How long do you think it will take you to get fully fit?

Roberto: Ah...ha ha. I don't really know, hopefully I will be playing within the next 2 or 3 games.

STV: How helpful has you manager been with you during you injury?

Roberto: André has been extremely helpful, he has given me as much time as I need.

STV: And finally, this is just a general question, where do you think Spurs will finish in the league this season?

Roberto: We can finish wherever we want, we have the players to win the league.

Tottenham Hotspur have to day announced a new intake of youth players, most of them are English but there are players from USA, Cyprus and Lesotho. The pick of the players is Daniel Howatson, who is an English attacking midfielder from Huddersfield.

Tottenham have also offered contracts to Norwegian left midfielder Odd-Geir Birknes, who is currently at Manchester United. Austrian Striker Hasan Eibenberger, who is currently at AKA Red Bull Salzburg. And finally English central defender Ryan Spence, who is currently at Manchester City.
