Manager Notes

Top of the league with 6 games to go, I can't believe it all of our work has payed off, I just hope we can stay there for the 6 remaining games. I'm also really pleased on how we are doing in the Europa League, we're in the quarter final and we are going to play Valencia. The other English team still in the competition is Arsenal and they are playing Juventus. Another good thing is that Roberto Soldado has returned to match fitness and will be featuring in our next few matches. Unfortunately his current ability has dropped a little bit but I trust that he will pick up where he left off.

Manager Notes

A mixed bag of results for us this month. We are doing really well this season in the Premier League sitting at the top with 2 games to go. I'm quite disappointed with the loss against Braga, hopefully we can overturn the scoreline and get into the final. The other game in the semi final of the Europa League is Arsenal v Dnipro and Arsenal have a 5-2 advantage over them. I might be an all English final.
alright Great story so far! :).. keeping tabs on how you do! :D
Really good results there , shame about the loss against Braga and Liverpool! Nice to see Spurs sitting top too :)

Manager Notes

I can't believe it all mine and the teams dreams have come true, we've one the league as well as the Europa League, what a season! The team and me are really pleased. Hopefully next season will be as successful as the last. The team have performed so well this season with notable performances from Papadopoulos, Kaboul and Defoe. I will be looking to do some business regarding players this season, but who, know one knows yet.

Throwing Out The Trash

Spurs manager André Villas-Boas has been making a lot of money so far this transfer window by getting rid of all of the unneeded players. The 5 players that have departed are Jonathan Obika, Paulinho, Iago Falqué, Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Roberto Soldado.

The first player to leave the Spurs squad is young striker Jonathan Obika. He played 5 league appearances last season for the club, scoring 1 goals. Villas-Boas was obviously not impressed with him last season. The 22 year old has been at Spurs the whole of his career but has spent loan time at no less than 8 teams. He will be playing his football at Elland Road next season, after he joined Leeds for a fee of 250K.

The second departure is Brazilian midfielder Paulinho, who only recently joined the club. He played 26 league appearances last season, scoring 3 goals. In January Paulinho picked up an injury which knocked him back a bit and unfortunately he has never recovered properly. The big Brazilian was signed at the start of last season for a fee of 17.5 million, he has now been sold to Atlético Madrid for a fee of 20 million, giving Spurs a 2.5 million profit.

http://s1314.photobucket.com/user/silasthebest/media/paulinho_zps6f0549b7.jpg.html

Next up is Iago Falqúe. The Spanish midfielder was signed from Juventus for a fee of 1.5 million in the 2011-12 season. The 23 year old has never been a real success at White Hart Lane. He spent the 2011-12 season on loan at Southampton, where he only played 1 game. Last season he played his games for Rayo Vallecano where he played 3 Liga BBVA appearances. Obviously Villas-Boas didn't see anything special in him hence being sold. He has been sold to Spanish side Espanyol for a fee of 2.3 million.

http://s1314.photobucket.com/user/silasthebest/media/IagoFalque_20111130_zps7a531167.jpg.html

Cameroon international Benoit Assou-Ekotto has also agreed a move away from the club. He has joined French side Olympique de Marseille for a fee of 4 million. Villas-Boas has described this as "sad" because the player has been at the club from 2006, but both player and manager felt the move was right. Villas-Boas came to the decision as he has Fabio he plays at left back, he has also got Jan Vertonghen, Kyle Naughton and Martin Kelly who can all play left back. Benoit played his games for Championshipe side QPR last season, where he became a vital player for them.

Last but not least is Spanish striker Roberto Soldado, who joins Italian giants AS Roma for a fee of 14.75 million. Soldado joined Spurs at the start of last season for a fee of 26 million, even though Spurs have lost 11.25 million on him, 14.75 million is still a lot of money to have. Soldado was in good form until he tore his hamstring and was out for 5 months, he has never recovered really from the injury.
