Barnet sign Spanish midfield duo Casabella and Villa

The duo have been training with the Bees for the a short while so far in pre-season and have done enough to earn contracts with the club.

Luisma, 23, began his career with Racing Santander before joining Real Union in 2010. Spells with Alaves and Amorebieta followed and he spent last season with Spanish third division side Noja.

26-year-old Casabella has also plied his trade in Spain, beginning his career with Real Madrid before moving to fierce rivals Atletico. He stayed with Atletico Madrid but left the club in 2008. He has had several spells with different clubs in the Spanish third division before spending time in Moldova with FC Milsami.

Many fans are worried about the language barrier but it is believed that that Davids will be able to overcome this issue considering that Davids is believed to be able to help and speak some Spanish after spending a short period in his career playing in Spain when he was on a loan spell at Barcelona.

Director of Football Paul Fairclough told the club website: "Edgar and I have a lot of faith in these Spanish lads and we are confident that they can use their skill with their physical and metal attributes and help the team succeed!"

Both signings represent a major coup for the Bees who are looking increasingly strong as the 2013/14 season approaches.

Barnet Football Club are pleased to announce the signing of Marciano Mengerink on a two-year-deal subject to international clearance. The Dutch forward has been training with the Bees for over a month and he first caught the eye with two goals in a training friendly win over Hemel Hempstead Town.

Mergerink joins from Dutch side SDV Barneveld who were recently managed by new Head of Coaching Dick Schreuder who knows the forward’s game inside out. Schreuder also knows how to get the best out of the 23-year-old who scored 27 goals for SDVB last season.

He tweeted: "So happy to sign my contract @BarnetFC buzzing cant wait to get started." This is already showing promising signs for the Barnet fans as the club now have a total of four first team strikers (Hyde, Crawford, Nurse and Mengerink).

Davids told Barnetfc.com: "I am happy to welcome him to the club, he has a great goal scoring record with his scoring 27 goals last season and I hope he can bring this into games for Barnet and really give the fans something to cheer about!"

Still: "The Barnet job is not for me!"

John Still has spoke to the media following recent reports linking him with a return to Barnet FC to take over as head coach. He has spoke to numerous newpapers and websites telling them that he is not interested in entering any contract discussions at the Hive and that he is happy at his current job with Barnet's league rivals Luton Town.

Still is currently at Luton Town since February when he left Dagenham and Redbridge, he has brought in some good new signings for Luton Town and his side are high favourites to win the Skrill Premier and to get promoted into the Football League.

He spoke to Skysports.com saying: "I have had great and bad times with Barnet in the past but I have only just recently joined Luton back in February and I still feel this I have something to offer Luton and with us being linked as one of the favourites to win the Skrill league, I see not reason to leave the Hatters!"

Anthony Kleanthous who is the Barnet chairman has taunted The Barnet and Potters Bar times by telling them: "We have got a list of around four to five managers that we want, one of the people that are in your top four favourites are actually in talks over the job but then we are still speaking with numerous people as this is a tough time for the club"

It is believed by numourous sources that former Bees striker Giuliano Grazioli who is currently 37 years old and would fit the chairman's idea of appointing a young Head Coach.

Former Barnet goalkeeper Lee Harrison has today told of his extreme interest to take the vacant post of manager at Barnet FC. Harrison made over 300 appearances and two spells with the club between 1996–2003 and 2006–2010.

Harrison, 42 is currently working with Sky Bet League Two side Wycombe Wanderers as a goalkeeping coach and has held that role for over a year.

Harrison became a UEFA "A" qualified outfield coach at the age of 21, and is also a UEFA "A" qualified goalkeeper coach.

His first experience in backroom staffing was back in May 2011 when Harrison joined Newport County as assistant manager to Anthony Hudson and backup goalkeeper. Following the sacking of Hudson in September 2011 Harrison was appointed caretaker manager for one match, a 2–0 defeat at Darlington.

Harrison told the Daily Mirror: "Barnet is a club that I love and to go back there and to manage would be something I would love to do as it is a club so close to my heart. But we'll have to see what Anthony (the Barnet chairman)says and if I get the job than I will get it but in my belief, I am the man for the job!"

Shock news have came from Barnet's training ground The Hive as Chairman Anthony Kleanthous and Director of Football Paul Fairclough have gone mad with their theory of a young coach by appointing a teenager and their new Head Coach ahead of their new season in Non-League football in the Skrill Premier.

Debenham, 13, is set to take charge next Monday (7/7/13) for his full duties, he will however still have an education as he works with the Barnet FC Development Squad as they work for an education as well as playing football. Debenham has got experience as a coach as he has helped some of his coaches in Sunday League Football U14's on the outskirts of London.

Fans are shocked at this appointment and following this, yet to leave Director of Football Paul Fairclough has told Barnet.com: "Yes, he is very young but there is no reason why he cannot do well at Barnet and why he cannot bring us success, he has been a fan his whole life, he know all the players and how good they are, that is good enough for me!"

Debenham posted on his Twitter page: "Can't really believe it! Being the new @BarnetFC Head Coach. I am absolutely buzzing to get straight to work and achieve some success with Barnet" He then continued: "I love Barnet FC and I since I was about five or six so I can't wait for this opportunity!"

It is believed that Debenham is hoping to aim for a top five place (The Playoffs) which has pleased Barnet fans across the globe. The Head of the Supporters Association has said: "I am not exactly happy with the appointment but if he is aim high and for the playoffs than that is great, but if he can achieve it, than that would be absolutely perfect and then I would respect the Chairman's decision!"
