Coming up this Sunday (23rd of March), The Bees will be travelling to Wembley Stadium for the FA Trophy final against Grimsby Town. In the previous two meetings between the clubs, Barnet have come out victorious both times (5-1 win and a 4-0 win).
Heading into this game, both sides will be suffering some big losses, here is the current team news regarding injury's and suspensions.
Barnet: Davids (suspended)
Grimsby: Alibi (broken shoulder) and Wallis (broken foot)
Despite not being able to play, former Champions League midfielder will be joining young manager Lloyd Debenham on the touchline to help with the coaching on the day. Barnet do go into this game as favourites though with 5-4 odds with a draw (after 90 mins) being 11-5 and a Grimsby Town win being 7-4.
Debenham told the media: "
I am extremely confident heading into this clash, we have beat them by four the goals the previous two times we played them and I believe we can do it again. Edgar will be a big loss but you have to move on and just go for the win and get some silverware in our trophy cabinet"
Recently hired Grimsby boss Paul Buckle also spoke out saying: "
This will be a tough task for us after the previous time that we played them, but since I have became in charge, we have a 75% win record and hopefully we can make it higher with a win on Sunday"
