MC: Hello there, and welcome to BT Sport, the home of Football coverage, and the only TV channel that shows the Skrill Premier. I am Mark Clemmit Today we are at The Hive, Barnet’s home, which contains their Training Ground and their “Temparary Stadium” following their departure from Underhill.
HS: And I’m Helen Skelton, the Barnet Chairman Anthony Kleanthous has had ongoing rows with the council forcing them to build a stadium, here at their training ground which is part borough boundaries and in Harrow, Edgware.
MC: Now, before the match start, we will be doing a few behind the scenes features, we will be speaking with the youngest Football Manager ever to be, Lloyd Debenham who is only thirteen and Barnet’s new Head Coach, who takes the reins for his first competitive fixture.
HS: And even talking to a couple of familiar faces who are well known at Barnet Football Club and get their verdict on the team, the manager and the players and we will be analysising the line-ups as soon as they come in. Over to Mark outside the Manager’s office in the tunnel of the Hive stadium.
Debenham's Pre-Match Interview
MC: Thank you, Helen. I am joined here by Football’s youngest ever Manager who is only thirteen years of age. It’s Lloyd Debenham.
LD: You alright?
MC: Yes thank you. But most importantly, are you ok? Now, you have a heavy burden on your shoulders to run a football club. How has it been so far?
LD: Ha. Well it has been quite tuff, but Edgar and Ulrich have really helped and supported me at the club so far and I have really enjoyed my time so far. We have brought in some good players since I arrived and I hope those that are in today’s match squad can show some magic on the field.
MC: Can you give us any news on the thing that all fans and views are asking. Is Edgar Davids playing at all or in the squad.
LD: Well, I have eighteen players training here today, I can only take sixteen into the match day squad, whether he is in there or not. We’ll have to see.
MC: Now, are you confident of three points this afternoon. With you just being relegated and you being just relegated. Could you be positive because your team have better experience or do you feel down knowing that they are positive after a promotion?
LD: No, I think that I am very confident, morale is high in our camp, we are aiming high, we aim to win the league and get the first bit of silverware for the club since we last won the conference back in the 2004-04 season. Which should be great.
MC: Now, I’ll leave to your match training and wish you good luck!
LD: Thanks, Mark.
Pitchside with Grazioli
HS: Now then, I am here with former Barnet striker and club legend Giuliano Grazioli. Now, Graz, you were with Barnet and top scoring in the league when Barnet last won the conference. What is the league like?
GG: It is a very tough league, a very tight league, and most of all, it is a very close league with there only being a couple of teams that are seen as underdogs. It won’t be easy for Barnet.
HS: Now, so you believe that Barnet can win promotion?
GG: As Lloyd says, that is what he is aiming for. Whether he’ll achieve I don’t know. The league is tough enough itself, never mind him being only thirteen but, we’ll have to wait and see.
HS: Who do you see a favourite for this game?
GG: I think Chester will be strong following their recent promotion from the Skrill North. But I believe that Barnet will still be able to win and I would expect them to dominate the game.
HS: Now the teams are in, over to Mark with the Line-up!

The Match
IH: The toss has now been made, Barnet will be kicking off in their famous Black and Amber.
DC: To be honest, that is no Amber, that is Orange but then Barnet have favoured Orange instead of Amber over the recent year to get the modern feel. And off we go.
1’: Barnet now kicking off from Crow and Weston and back to Stephens are now now going to start building up some play.
4’: It is a Barnet free kick, the recently signed Spaniard Luisma Villa, who is twenty-three years of age will step up. He launches it over the wall but it is easily caught by Danby.
14’: Leon Johnson laid it forwards to Weston. And he has kicked the ball out of touch as Edgar Davids is on the floor injured and will need to be taken off for treatment from the Physios. The injury was due to a challenge by Hendrie.
17’: Hendrie, passes to the left o Jarrett, he moves forward with the ball, kicks forward to Reed, he has a go with his left foot by the ball is easily gather by Barnet ‘keeper Graham Stack.
19’: Gambin free on the ball, cuts inside from the wing, clear chance, and he skies it over the crossbar, that was the perfect chance for Gambin and he’s thrown it away.
32’: It has been all quiet for the last ten minutes but now a free kick for Barnet in a great position. Villa to step up again, ooh, only inches wide. Great effort from the Spaniard.
37’ Another free kick right on the edge of the box. Yet again to be taken by Luisma Villa. He steps up, and it skims the top of the bar.
40’:Leon Johnson with the win in the aerial challenge against Lindfield, did well to spot and intercept the pass. But the header only goes as far as McIntyre, On the volley! BRILLIANT SAVE FROM STACK! Did well to get his fingertips to it.
42’: Byrne passes it to Gambin. Through ball to Johnson (Elliot). Good play to get hiself into some space, he tries to shot from an angle. GOALLLL. ELLIOT JOHNSON GIVE BARNET THE LEAD ON THE 42ND MINUTE WITH A GREAT GOAL FROM A TIGHT ANGLE. BARNET 1, CHESTER 0.
43’: Chester now get the action underway.
45’: The fourth official is signalling a minimum of one added minute at the end of the half, one additional minutes.
45+1’: That’s half-time. And Barnet lead with one goal to nil.
46’: Chester will now kick off in their blue kits to start the second half.
60’: Now action but now a Chester substitution:

66’: Stack kicks the ball upfield, Kay manages to outjump Gambin, but Crow intercepts the ball, plays it towards Gambin, he is onside and on goal, he shoots. But he puts it wide. It was a shocking miss.
72’: Jake Hyde is now standing next to the fourth official and about to come on.

81’: Reed has got the ball, he goes through the defence, he must score. But yet again, Chester are denied by another great save from Stack.

89’: Byrne has the ball, he feeds it out to Jake Hyde, Ville is in space, Hyde now plays the ball to him, he tries to shoot from an angle and Chester ‘keeper John Danby turns it behind for a corner.
90’: The fourth official is now signalling a huge number of minutes of added time. Five minutes are being added on at the end of the second half.
90+5’: And the whistle blows for full-time, and Barnet win by one goal to nil. A great win for the young manager, and he is looking very cheerful on the side lines.
Barnet FC 1-0 Chester FC
MC: Now, I am here again with Lloyd Debenham, who I am assuming is a very happy man following his sides 1-0 win over Chester. Lloyd, how do you feel?
LD: Wow, I mean, I’m buzzing. It is a massive confidence boost for us, were dominated the game. I feel that we deserved the three points this afternoon because we put on a great show for our first competitive game at The Hive Stadium.
HS: Anyway, that is all we have time for, we’ll see you next week for more action in the Skrill Premier. Goodbye.
