Oh haha! They didn't all go the way I wanted but we did what we needed to in the Champions League and the match against Dortmund was the fair result. Hopefully things will improve next month as I would like to get this title wrapped up pretty soon so the Champions League can become the sole focus.
Massive improvement against Monaco! Not so great against Gladbach though, nor Dortmund but a point against BVB isn't so bad!

It isn't a bad point but we both know that the Munich fans will have been expecting three points, and not to have gone out of the German Cup which we were favourites to win. Two unacceptable results but we will move on and do better next time; I hope!
Not a perfect month, but the league title seems to surely be yours despite it. It will be interesting to see if you can pull off a domestic and continental double!

Unfortunately it was far from a perfect month. The league title should be ours but I can see the gap getting smaller. If we win the Champions League it will round off a very good first season.

December: Continued Progress...

What a fantastic month when yet again everything went according to plan from start to finish. The stand out result has to be the six nil win against GroBaspach in a friendly. This friendly and the upcoming ones will give me the chance to give a number of the first team players a rest and instead use some of the younger players and give them the chance to prove their worth. In the game Bjorn Kunisch and Ibrahim Saad were given a chance to show what they can bring to the first team in the future and they took the opportunity be the scruff of the neck. Both lads scored confidently and played the full ninety minutes and showed that the FC Bayern München have great depth that will stand us in good stead for the coming season.

In recent seasons the likes of Javi Martinez and Tin Jedvaj have taken the starting centre back places and commanded their part of the pitch. In this friendly Mathias Strehmel and Amar Bihorac were given the chance to show that the future of the FC Bayern München is solid, and they definitely did that. They helped to shut up shop and will have benefited from Manuel Neuer being given some game time. I have to admit that I am not looking forward to the next month as it is mainly made up friendlies which I hate at the best of times. However, I will still be looking to give the youngsters the chance to show off their potential and develop it under competitive conditions. If any of them make a significant contribution then there is no reason why they couldn’t push one of the first team regulars out of the squad and retain their position for the coming months.

In transfer news, David Alaba has decided to sign for Manchester City. In my eyes it is a transfer that benefits all parties included. Alaba gets to play for a club that have had a lot of recent success and he will be paid a decent amount. Alaba also benefits as his career won’t just dwindle out but instead he will have the chance to play many a game. We benefit as a club from a financial point of view. The club never paid anything for Alaba and have managed to sell him for £17.75 million which is a fantastic profit. The transfer also gives the likes of Luciano Gomez and Masahiro Yabu the chance to take the left back position from him for the rest of the season and get some much needed game time.

Player of the Month – Thiago

A much better month, glad to see a player I tipped for greatness many years ago in real life win Player of the Month for you :P

It was indeed a much better month full of great results. Thiago is a great player but as you will see in a few posts time, he becomes a pain in the arse!

January: Testimonials...

January brings the month of friendlies and testimonials. It started off with a friendly against Anderlecht who didn’t put up much competition but instead our youngsters run the show. Mathias Strehmel put in an outstanding performance and helped himself to a goal. He is a brilliant youngster who will go onto be a regular in the centre back position. The second friendly against Lanus was close to pointless with them putting up no fight whatsoever. I can understand the benefits of friendlies, and our youngsters have benefited the most, but I don’t understand why we don’t play against teams who are going to put up some kind of competition. However, this is difficult at this time of the season as every other league carries on as normal and doesn’t have friendlies any other time apart from preseason. This means we have to settle for lesser teams such as Lanus. Regular players such as Allione and Grealish showed that they aren’t quite prepared to give up their first team spot to anyone else right now. They put in an excellent performance and ran the show from the wings. Adopting the exploit the flanks and run at defence suit these two to a tee and it showed in this match.

The testimonials were a perfect send off to two players who are set to leave the club at the end of the season. Martinez has been told that he won’t be having his contract renewed at the end of the season, which he appears to have taken in his stride. He is still receiving game time but it is becoming on a less regular basis. He is becoming the player I rely on to sure up the defence at the end of the game if we have a narrow lead. Alaba has agreed to join Manchester City and has been given a send off against the club that he spent a season on loan at earlier on in his career. It didn’t necessarily go to plan but it wasn’t a match that I put everything into but instead I will be looking to ensure we get the three points against them later on in the season.

Player of the Month – Mathias Strehmel

I think the competitive side of the month could have been better, think you could have beaten Schalke, but like Dortmund, they're a superb side. Tore up your friendlies though, well done.
A decent month, nice to give a testimonial sending off to two great Bayern Munich legends. And woohoo, finally a screenshot of Strehmel!! ;) He looks quite good!!
AaronHJFT96:Why my assistant manager chose those clubs, I don't know but it was very frustrating. The first team did get a break so I guess it benefited the youngsters to get some competitive game time. We should have beaten Schalke but we played poorly; hopefully get revenge on them sometime!

Neal:It was nice to give them the send off they deserved. Strehmel has a bright future ahead of him and I hope he continues to perform to the level he has shown he has capable of this month.

February: Allez FC Bayern München?

I have to admit that when I first saw the draw for the Champions League First Knockout Round I was not very confident of our chances. Paris Saint-Germain’s reputation for being a force to be reckoned with is very quickly increasing. A number of their players we associate with them in real life, such as Zlatan, Verratti and Silva, are no longer at the club. However, they have a brilliant youth setup which has allowed them to bring a number of talented individuals through the youth ranks. This in conjunction with the vast funds they have available to them, they have the potential to be one of Europe’s best teams for years to come. They are currently in game struggling in Ligue 1 with AS Monaco leading the way at the top of the league so the Champions League looks their best chance for silverware. When it came to facing them I had been hoping we could have got the away leg out of the way and grabbed ourselves an away goal which could have been vital in the second game. However, we had to put up with playing the first leg at home and to be honest, the result couldn’t have gone any better.

Part way through the game, a PSG defender got sent off which opened the door for us to control the game and get ourselves a commanding lead to take into the second leg. It was a brilliant performance that really has put us in a good position and will allow us to sit back and not have to go searching for a winner in the return leg. The theme of this month was similar to that of the PSG game, which was to score a lot of goals and to shut out the opponents. The match against Paderborn was a brilliant result and a great match to watch. We just took the game to them and played them off the park and a number of our players received very high ratings. The game against Gladbach was another one with some significance as they are looking to knock us off our perch at the top of the Bundesliga. They never got into the game as we controlled possession which meant they had very few shots on goal to try and help get them back into the game. It was just a fantastic month from start to finish with the performances being consistently a good standard. If we continue with this form then the title will surely be ours.

Player of the Month – Agustin Allione

Incredible month! Would you say PSG are the same strength as Monaco? If so, that's a huge improvement.
such players in the screenshots. Great story mate
