Transfer Deadline Day

Or all the players I wanted but had no money to spend. I had spent all of my team's transfer budget early as I like to make my deals done as early as possible in order to expedite team chemistry.

I wanted to make a move to sign Gianni Bruno for 475,000 Euros because he was a steal at that price, sadly I couldn't shake enough pennies out of the cushions of the wage budget to make a move happen.
Unlucky missing out on Bruno, he looks an absolute gem.
Still, you made some pretty great transfers during the window and I'm sure your team can only continue to improve. :)

Too bad about Bruno, maybe in the next window :D

Bundesliga - September 2014

Matches

September 13, 2014
St. Pauli 0 - 2 Hoffenheim
We conceded a penalty and they were just more clinical with their chances.
Player of the Match: Stefan Thesker (Hoffenheim)

September 21, 2014
Stuttgart 2 - 1 St. Pauli
A controversial penalty was the difference for Stuttgart. St. Pauli kept it close, but struggled to finish as they wasted many chances.

September 24, 2014 - DFB-Pokal Second Round
St. Pauli 3 - 1 1860 Munchen
So, obviously the formation is different. I instituted a tactics change, dropping the striker in favor of a second AMC. In addition, the tactics are a high-pressing possession game, focused through the middle. It worked wonders for this match, as St. Pauli scored 3 goals and dashed their opponents' hopes.
Player of the Match: Andrea Barbaris (St. Pauli)

September 27, 2014
St. Pauli 2 - 3 Werder Bremen
St. Pauli's attack looked more alive, but an unfortunate own goal by the keeper and some defensive breakdowns thanks to changes in the lineup resigned St. Pauli to another loss.
Player of the Match: Joseph Akpala (Werder Bremen)

Bundesliga Table

Dead last in the Bundesliga. Still haven't won a match. Why do I have hope? I've installed a new tactic that seems to be working. The players seem to have more confidence in themselves. We'll still struggle, and a lot of teams are better than us, but I know we can stay up.
Bad luck with the start, although I am sure you can fight back

A Suitor Comes Calling

I was at a training session when my phone rang. I didn't recognize the number, but I hadn't blocked it yet, so I answered. "Hello?"

I got an immediate reply back: "Is this Sabrina Schwartz?"

"Yeah."

"Excellent. My name is Abdullah al-Thani. I'm the president of Malaga football club in Spain. Dick Advocaat used to be the manager, until he was sacked. We're in Liga Adelante, and we're looking for you to come in for a job interview..."

"Did you say you were in Liga Adelante? You know I'm managing a team in the Bundesliga, right? This would be a step down for me, as far as I'm concerned."

"Malaga is mid-table right now, but we've got the pieces to make a promotion run."

"I'm just not feeling it. I don't want to ruin my good reputation in Hamburg right now just for a job interview for a second-division team. I love St. Pauli, and it would take a lot for me to even consider leaving it, and Germany altogether. I'm sorry but I'm going to have to decline the offer. Thanks anyway."

al-Thani pleaded, "Wait!"

It was too late. Schwartz hung up.

Bundesliga - October 2014

Matches

October 4, 2014
Freiburg 3 - 2 St. Pauli
By the time we were able to start scoring goals, we were already in too deep a hole. It didn't help that our finishing was terrible, either.
Player of the Match: Philipp Bargfrede (Freiburg)

October 18, 2014
St. Pauli 2 - 3 Gladbach
St. Pauli held the lead at one point, but struggled with Gladbach's corners, and lost when Dejan Stojanovic made a terrible terrible pass right to Luuk de Jong who scored on an empty net.
Player of the Match: Juan Fuentes (St. Pauli)

October 26, 2014
Wolfsburg 1 - 2 St. Pauli
FINALLY ST. PAULI GET A WIN! St. Pauli fell behind early, but Winston Reid scored on a corner kick and Marc Rzatkowski got open in space and hit a deadly finish to secure St. Pauli's first win this season despite Wolfsburg's superiority on the stat sheet.
Player of the Match: Marc Rzatkowski (St. Pauli)

Bundesliga Table

The win against Wolfsburg gave us some new life but it's still going to be a struggle. Dortmund is next on the line, it's going to be tough to get any sort of good result against them but we'll still try our best anyway.

Transfers

In
In an ebEliminator story trend, I once again have signed a young exciting Irish regen for pennies on the dollar! All St. Pat's Athletic wanted was 160,000 Euros for this burgeoning superstar!
Only just catching up with this story, unlucky missing out on Bruno. Not a great start to the new season but I am sure you will pull it back :P

Bundesliga - November 2014

Matches

November 1, 2014
St. Pauli 2 - 0 Dortmund
What a shocker as St. Pauli defeat a European giant! It was a nervy first half for both sides as Dortmund had a couple of chances to lob Stojanovic but lobbed too high, and both teams went into the half scoreless. In the second half, St. Pauli stunned Dortmund when Winston Reid headed in a corner, and then the killing blow, Evan Chevalier scored an amazing goal cutting into the penalty box from the left side.
Player of the Match: Winston Reid (St. Pauli)

November 8, 2014
Koln 1 - 1 St. Pauli
St. Pauli scored both goals from corners today, with Winston Reid taking the lead with a goal off corner for the third game in a row. Unfortunately, Alberto headed the ball into his own net and took away a chance to win for St. Pauli.
Player of the Match: Winston Reid (St. Pauli)

November 22, 2014
St. Pauli 4 - 2 HSV
Hamburger SV fans are likely to feel hard done by the officials, as the game swung when Stefan Strandberg got sent off for a bad tackle on Sebastian Maier, putting him out of the match, and when they conceded a penalty, which Juan Fuentes converted for the equalizer. St. Pauli took the lead when Mujangi Bia scored from 13 yards. HSV equalized, and sub Jan-Philipp Kalla scored what proved to be the winning goal by heading in a corner. Evan Chevalier added another goal for a two-goal margin.
Player of the Match: Juan Fuentes (St. Pauli)
Injury Update: Sebastian Maier suffered a broken ankle from Strandberg's foul and will miss 2-3 months.

November 29, 2014
Nurnberg 2 - 1 St. Pauli
Despite Andrea Barberis scoring an early goal, St. Pauli couldn't muster much else in the attack and thus Nurnberg ended their run.
Player of the Match: Tobias Kempe (Nurnberg)
Injury Update: Christian Buchtmann twisted his ankle and will miss 3 weeks.

Bundesliga Table

All that and we're still 16th in the Bundesliga. One month of good results isn't going to get us anywhere, we need to keep it up.
Great to get a fantastic win over your rivals HSV! Better month and well done on rejecting Malaga :D
1
Some tough results but a fantastic win against Dortmund! Hopefully that result can help your side continue to play well and avoid the drop! :)

Tough results, and sad to miss on Bruno.. Some steals there though, Kruse, Naingollan and others rather cheap!

Love the result against Dortmund

Bundesliga - December 2014

Matches

December 2, 2014 - DFB-Pokal 3rd Round
St. Pauli 4 - 2 Furth
St. Pauli out-technicaled Furth and played them off the pitch, securing a berth in the DFB-Pokal Quarterfinals.
Player of the Match: Johannes Focher (Furth)

December 6, 2014
St. Pauli 0 - 1 Hannover
We dominated the stat sheet but couldn't put it in the goal.
Player of the Match: Winston Reid (St. Pauli)

December 13, 2014
Frankfurt 1 - 1 St. Pauli
St. Pauli could have had quite a few impressive goals, but they couldn't finish. They held a slim lead, but it evaporated when they conceded a penalty.
Player of the Match: Alberto (St. Pauli)

December 21, 2014
St. Pauli 2 - 1 Hertha BSC
We cleaned up our messes as both of our goals came on second chances off missed shots. Victor Andres was brilliant today, coming away with a goal and an assist.
Player of the Match: Victor Andres (St. Pauli)

Bundesliga Table

6/12 points.. Decent, but needs to improve.. If you get relegated, are you moving clubs, or are you trying to do a dynasty at St.Pauli?
