2013-11-03 16:46#141384 patrick1 : I have noticed most of the players CA and PA seem to be quite low on FM 14 compared to FM 13

Yeah, I expected Mignolet, Sturridge and Ilori to be a lot better than this :/
As much as I hate Carra, think his punditry is awful, think he was an average player and most of all and LIVERPOOL FAN!! I still wish you luck! ;)

All joking aside good start to the story Glenn keep it up!

I cannot believe that Mignolet is 2 star he really should be either 3 star or 3 1/2

Hahaha fair play! Good start to your story :)
Loving this story Glenn, don't think it has it the highs of the Beckham but I think it's possible if it carries on as it is now. Keep up the good work :P

Carra's Journal: The Backroom

31 July 2013

With Brendan gone, a few of his staff went with him and we've needed replacements. Thankfully, John and I managed to work quickly to bring some people over before the season started.

Our first departure was our Under-18s team manager, Neil Critchley, who has left to take charge of the Under-18s at Aston Villa. Neil is a great guy, but sometimes I find his decision-making skills peculiar. Why would you want to trade the Liverpool Under-18s for the Aston Villa Under-18s? I'm not insulting Aston Villa or anything, but I'm sure the quality of our youth facilities are much, much better. Alright, maybe I am insulting them a little bit. Sorry.

In Critchley's place is the man he replaces, rather coincidentally. With Critchley in the picture, Aston Villa's former Under-18s manager Tony McAndrew had to be sacked to make way. Hearing about this, we managed to convince Tony to join as our new Under-18s manager.

Our entire fitness team of Glen Driscoll, Jordan Milsom, Ryland Morgans, Andy O'Boyle and Remy Tang have also departed. John brought in a few names he knew as replacements, and although I don't know a few of them, they have a decent CV, so they should be alright.

John is a really nice guy - I pointed out that the Reserves squad looked quite empty in terms of backroom staff, and he immediately phoned a few people that came in a few hours later for interviews and contract negotiations. Our Reserves manager Alex Inglethorpe will now be provided with plenty of assistance by Aston Villa's very own former Reserves manager, Gordon Cowans, and our new Reserves physiotherapist Sebastian Neuspiller.

Our coaching setup has also received a boost. The departure of Mike Marsh has seen not more than four more coaches brought into the backroom team, and one of them so happens to be my good friend Martin Keown. One of them, Francisco Cersosimo, is someone I have never heard of, but this guy came recommended highly by John, and John is someone I have a lot of trust in.

The physio team at Liverpool have also been boosted. Our Head Physio, Matt Konopinski will lead a new physio team of Chris Morgan, Andy Renshaw, Marcos Fernando, Nicky Reid, Sebastian Neuspiller, Liam Kershaw and Beto.

The scouting team has also been completely revamped with all of our scouts getting the sack because apparently, according to John, we needed changes. I can't complain - our new scouting team is brilliant. We have a talented mix of Brazilian, Italian, Portuguese, Danish, Spanish and English scouts. To complete the diversity, the man leading the team will be an Argentine, Rosario Argento, formerly of Palermo.

Our staff list is now a hundred percent complete.

I think all the changes and improvements will be very beneficial to the team, and to be able to complete all the changes before the season officially starts is great for us as well. I cannot wait for the season ahead. This time, I am confident we can do better than simply finishing in a lowly mid-table position. YNWA!
Do you think you'll bring back former Liverpool legends as part of the backroom staff? like hamann, michael owen etc?
