Peters was the guy that made everyone want to kill themselves in FM12-13. He had/has fantastic stats, but he'll never join you as an assistant manager or a coach(despite being the most suitable stat wise)
Carra's Journal: Making Decisions

It hasn't been a great month for us. A loss to Southampton, drawing Stoke City and the worst part of it all - getting crushed by Manchester United. Again. Well, at least it wasn't so bad this time. 4-0. Last time was 6-1. I was hoping the lads would use the 6-1 drubbing as an incentive to take revenge and beat United, but it wasn't to be. We just couldn't find the net, and our defending was a mess.
Luis has been very frustrating. For someone who won the Golden Boot last season, he has been playing horribly. 7 goals in 15 appearances might look good on paper, but it's not. His inconsistency has been plaguing me and the team. We are relying on him in most of our games to be the game-changer, but he has so far been unable to change many games.
Perhaps it's the injuries and the 10-match ban earlier in the season taking it's toll, I don't know. All I know is that I'm losing my patience. The loss to United got me thinking.
Maybe, just maybe, it's time to start acting like a proper manager. I cannot afford to be afraid to sell off a player if he's not doing well simply because he's a fan favorite.
Maybe, just maybe, it's time for change.
If Luis continues to be our first-choice striker until the end of the season, I fear we will not even be competing in the Europa League next year.
Therefore, perhaps it is time to start reshaping the squad.
Some might call me impatient, but managing a team like Liverpool, with huge expectations from the fans and the board, being patient is out of the question. I've learnt that.
But before I make the big call to the various big teams interested in our Uruguayan, I have some other minor transfer businesses to settle...
Cooling the Bench
Liverpool have confirmed three departures, with a trio of bench-warmers allowed moves to different clubs.
Martin Kelly will move to Newcastle for a fee of £5 million to strengthen the Toon's weakness at right-back. Although having not been considered very important by Jamie Carragher at Liverpool, Kelly's new boss Alan Pardew is delighted to have secured his man.
"Martin is someone we've been chasing since the January window opened. He's going to be very important for us because we're going to put him in the first team straightaway," said Pardew.
It will be news to Kelly, who has probably been used to sitting on the bench and playing second fiddle to Glen Johnson at Anfield.
That is the only permanent departure for Liverpool, with Iago Aspas and Luis Alberto only managing to secure loans out of the club.
Aspas will link up with West Bromwich until the end of the season, while Alberto will return to his native Spain to play for Espanyol.
Alberto will almost certainly return to Liverpool, but it is different for Aspas, with an undisclosed future fee in his loan contract with the Midlands club.
The 26-year-old has failed to convince Carragher of his worth since joining the Reds in the summer and the Liverpool boss will be happy to have him out of the club permanently as soon as possible.
Dont know about letting kelly go!He turns out very good in mine....and as for alberto, he annoys me as hes not rated the greatest, but in the matches i always think he looks neat and tidy and quite useful....yet his match ratings dont suggest it! must just be personal opinion!

Carra's Journal: Rotten Luck

Aaaaaand, just as I decide to make Luis Suarez available, he goes ahead and gets himself injured in training.
I think it was something about his knee, I wasn't really paying attention to what Colin Pascoe and the physios were saying. I was too busy cursing Luis and my luck. Seriously? How can one be this unlucky? With the injury, no one will want to buy him now.
Luis will return to full fitness in about a month, so that rules out a potential January move.
Argh.
Now with Luis out of the picture, I will have to use Daniel Sturridge as my first-choice forward, and I was planning to sell him too. I wonder if this is some elaborate conspiracy by the both of them so they can both stay on at the club.
But I will not be dwelling on that. We play Newcastle in the FA Cup in a few days, and with the Capital One Cup out of the picture, the FA Cup is a tournament I really want us to go far in.
After Newcastle is Fulham in the league, and hopefully it is a game we can take three points from. With no real goalscorer for us up front - I would hardly consider Daniel a goalscorer - it's going to be tough coming away with more than a point in many games. But a challenge is what I signed up for.
Hopefully failing this challenge doesn't mean getting the sack.
A few of our young prospects are going to be heading out on loan. Jerome Sinclair, Tiago Ilori, Luis Alberto and Samed Yesil will be the ones playing for temporary new clubs and scouts will be sent to monitor their progress. I am personally excited to see how they develop with first-team experience.
Aside from that, I am working to get in at least one player so our transfer window won't look that much of a failure.

Thanks for the heads-up about Liverpool. Yeah, Alberto always gets a lousy match rating in every game unless he scores. I let Kelly go because he just can't dislodge Johnson at right-back, and without Kelly I have Andre Wisdom (who looks like he could turn out better than Kelly in a few years) and Kolo Toure as backup.

FA Cup: Toon Advance
Liverpool were eliminated from the FA Cup today after Newcastle outplayed them 2-1 to advance on, piling the woes and pressure on Reds boss Jamie Carragher.
In addition, the Anfield club will be stripped of one of their best players Lucas Leiva for their upcoming Premier League match against Fulham, as the Brazilian midfielder picked up a red card for a harsh challenge on Toon midfielder Yohan Cabaye.
With Liverpool now lingering in 6th place and being out of their only two cup competitions this season, the pressure on Carra has really started to come on, with rumors around Merseyside reporting that owners Fenway Sports Group are losing their patience.
It was always going to be a tough road for the 35-year-old. With Liverpool being his first job in management and having no managerial experience prior to taking over from Brendan Rodgers, Carra's poor results have not surprised many.
"Perhaps it is for the best if Jamie resigns," said Gary Neville, speaking as a pundit on Sky Sports. "He is still young. He can learn more about management, before diving into another job. Taking charge of a club like Liverpool as your first job is not very ideal.
"I'm not saying the prestige of the club is too huge for a first-time manager. I'm saying that the team and the squad is full of shit, and any first-time manager, heck, any manager at all would find it hard to deal with life there."
Neville will almost certainly be sued by Liverpool and sacked by Sky Sports for his comments.
The rat-faced retiree aside though, will Liverpool persevere on? Will the owner of everyone's favorite Scouse accent be without a job by the end of the season?
We must wait and find out.
