Michael Ballack set to invest in Chelsea
We are hearing news that after Chelsea's purchases of Brazilian Gabriel Barbosa and England's Patrick Roberts, Michael Ballack will invest his own money into the club to boost the club's transfer budget. Chelsea's billionaire owner Roman Abramovich has reportedly agreed to the idea, and will let Ballack invest up to £29M in the club.
This furthers rumours that Chelsea will bid for Argentinian duo Lucas Romero and Guido Vadala, and suggests that Chelsea may be in the hunt for a big-name player. It is thought that Phil Jones, who is on the fringes at Manchester United at the moment, could be tempted, but names such as Ballon D'Or hopeful Sergio Ramos or Thiago Silva are being thrown around.
Chelsea have been in good League form of late, but a defeat to now-League leaders Aston Villa has left Chelsea in 2nd place. Robert Lewandowski is also being tipped to join the Blues, as Samuel Eto'o will be let go off next summer.
