August - A point to prove!

Rangers vs Dunfermline

Scottish League cup 1st round

It is always a nice feeling to say you are through to the next round of any cup competition, and today we gave ourselves the opportunity to say that, thrashing Dunfermline 5-1, the pick of the goals was Lewis MacLeod's superb volley. He played well all game, he played crisp, and pacey passes all game long and even set up two of the goals, and that is why he will get man of the match.

Rangers vs Stenhousemuir

Scottish league 1

We kicked off our Scottish League 1 campaign with a win against arguably one of the best teams in the league...Stenhousemuir. We were the dominant side all of the way through the game, notching an impressive 22 shots to their 7. David Templeton got the only goal of the game in the 17th minute, he was the key to this win and was probably the only player on the pitch to make a difference, every other player cancelled each other out but David used his flair and pace to win the game for us.

David Templeton

Cowdenbeath vs Rangers

Scottish Challenge cup 2nd round

We can say we are through to the next round in the League cup, but unfortunately not for the Challenge cup. We were extremely poor in this game and I am disappointed with the lads, we were 2-0 down for most of the game up until the 61st minute...when they scored again, however, 3 minutes later we got ourselves a goal and were ready to fight for our place in the 3rd round, 26 minutes later in the 90th minute we scraped a second goal, but was there enough time to get a third? of course there wasn't, we left it too late and I made my thoughts perfectly clear to the lads. I can't help but think...had we not let in a third, would the outcome be different? I will give my man of the match too Kyle Miller, who was brilliant for Cowdenbeath.

Dunfermline vs Rangers

Scottish League 1

Our second game against Dunfermline this month, but this time in the League, we didn't core as many as last time but we got the win nonetheless and we played just as well. Striker Lee McCulloch got both of goals and played absolutely brilliantly, I will hope to see more of the same from him, he will also get man of the match.

Lee McCulloch

Rangers vs Dundee United

Scottish League cup 2nd round

A fantastic result for everyone involved with this game, we truly have bounced back from the Cowdenbeath result with a brilliant win against Dundee United, I was expecting a footballing lesson here but it looks like we were the teachers, and they were our students. We got off to a great start scoring both of our goals in the first 15 minutes, they then got their only goal of the game in the 44th minute. We were pretty dominant for the first half, but in the second it was clear we were starting to get tired, but we kept to our defensive duties and braved the storm, Emilson Cribari was solid in defence and he was one of the reasons we managed to keep our lead...Man of the match for the Brazilian. We also drew Motherwell in the 3rd round which will probably be an even tougher test.

Emilson Cribari

Rangers vs Forfar

Scottish League 1

A great end to a fine month, with a 2-0 win against Forfar. Shiels and McKay got the 2 goals to seal the three points, in just 3 minutes, for the remaining 70 minutes we dominated, kept possession, and saw out the game. Danny Shiels was great in this game and had to play out of position and ended up on the score sheet so our man of the match...is Dean Shiels.

Danny Shiels

Kenny's toughts

We played ever so well this month, the only disappointment was the game against Cowdenbeath and I made it perfectly clear to the lads that playing like that just won't do, and they responded magnificently, topping the table in the remaining league games, and even saw themselves into the 3rd round of the League cup beating Dundee United. A fantastic month, and my player of the month has to go to...David Templeton, for his Marvellous performances, he scored a good few and assisted a few as well.

Player of the month

You lost to Cow Beef, really? Really?

I'm joking, great update and a quality month apart from Cowdenbeath. Keep it up.

Dalglish takes home August Manager of the month accolade

Just two days after the Rangers VS Forfar game, the Scottish League 1 Manager of the month award has been handed on a plate to Kenny Dalglish, his team notched five wins out of six, including victories against Dundee United and Stenhousemuir. The Scotsman was interviewed on his thoughts of being given the award, and many fans stated their opinions on twitter, here is KD.

"I'm delighted to receive this accolade, I hope this proves my worth and that Rangers fans will start to actually get behind me, maybe they won't but I plan on winning many more of these...and then soon I'm sure they will, I wouldn't have been able to receive this if it wasn't for the wonderful efforts of my players so I also want to say well done to them to!"

And here are two of the many tweets about Dalglish, it seems Rangers fans are beginning to take to the new manager.

@GERSfan69: @Kenny-Dalglish @RangersOfficial Well, I must say, well done to Kenny...he has done superb this month as have the players #GetBehindTheKing

@RoyOfTheRangers: @Kenny-Dalglish @RangersOfficial Well done, Kenny. I will admit, I had my doubts but you are proving us wrong #KeepItUp
Apart from the game against Cowdenbeath, it was a great month :)
Congrats on MOTM as well!

September - Surprising a few

Rangers vs Brechin

Scottish League 1
Four wins out of four in the league so far, we played fantastically all game and basically showed Brechin how to play football. A fantastic 3-0 win inspired by the likes of Lee McCulloch and Black, Ian Black had a great game, making every pass count assisting two of the three goals. Man of the match.
Ian Black

Ayr vs Rangers

Scottish League 1

Another win making it 5 out of 5 in the league. We weren't exactly great but we did enough to seal the win. Ayr did very well against us and were unlucky not to seal a point, McCulloch, Templeton and Hutton all scored for us however no one stood out enough to get a man of the match and that is why I am giving it to Michael Donald.
Michael Donald

Abroath vs Rangers

Scottish League 1

The last League game of the month came against Arbroath, we secured the win as was expected, but it wasn't expected to be so one sided, it was a brilliant match and we completely obliterated them in all aspects, McCulloch and Mckay got two goals each, Nicky Law and substitute Jon Daly also both scored a goal to add to the tally. Picking man of the match was a hard one as everyone played so well but I think it's going to have to go to Lee McCulloch for his efforts in front of goal and for his professional attitude between the halves.
Lee McCulloch

Motherwell vs Rangers

Scottish League cup 3rd round

The biggest game the King was yet to play this season was against Motherwell, and I was honestly expecting a thrashing, however we proved that the Dundee United result was no fluke, by absolutely destroying Motherwell 6-1, I couldn't quite believe it, It was a fantastic team effort and I am so happy to say we are through to the quarter finals against Morton. Our man of the match this time round is Lee Wallace for his solid defending.
Lee Wallace

Kenny's thoughts

"What a month! We are unbeaten in the league and have won every game, which means we will go 3 points ahead at the top of the table on 18 points, the win against Motherwell was absolutely brilliant and I hope Rangers fans are satisfied. Player of the month, I believe should go to Lee McCulloch, he has been fantastic in front of goal lately and it doesn't look like he is ready to stop scoring yet."

Clark: Kenny can take Gers forward

Earlier this morning, We spoke to Steve Clark about the recent performances of Rangers and his former boss Kenny Dalglish, Steve Clark had a lot of words to say about the new man at Rangers including how he is the right person to take Rangers forward...Clark told BTSport:"In my opinion, Rangers have made a fantastic job of signing up Kenny, especially given the circumstances. They have been demoted to the bottom of the professional Scottish Leagues and the amount of debt they are in is unbelievable. Their situation seems to be getting better with the recent promotion, and I think all that is needed now is for Kenny to get them promoted to the Championship and take things from there."

Clark clearly has a strong opinion on Rangers' situation, and it is wondered whether a Rangers Ambassador could come out respond to his words on their finances...Clark also said:"If you ask me, Kenny is the man to take Rangers forward, and I as well as any other individual strongly believe they will get promotion this year, and if/when they do, they are going to have a job holding on to their manager, however, I believe Kenny knows where his priorities lay, and that's at rangers, whether promotion is gained or not."

We are expecting to hear a sudden response from another individual involved with Rangers, whether it be a fan or Dalglish himself, but believe us when we say...The two managers could build up an even stronger relationship, given the comments made by the West Browich Albion manager.

Neil Lennon: Dalglish a stupid fool

Now, many people expected a response from a Rangers official, however, in a shocking turn of events Neil Lennon has been the first to respond to Steve Clarks comments on Kenny Dalglish Labelling the Rangers boss "A stupid fool" here is what the Celtic gaffer had to say to BTSport:"I still can't believe Dalglish has accepted the offer from Rangers, he is a legend at Celtic as a player and manager, he has done nothing but ruin his reputation in the minds of Celtic and even Liverpool fans, I use to have complete respect for him but now I just think he is a stupid fool."

The comments mad by Lennon include a really strong opinion on Kenny Dalglish, and we strongly believe a response from the Rangers manager will pop up in later reports, stay safe for now, good bye.

October - The form continues

East Fife 0-6 Rangers

Scottish League 1

We started off the month of October with a solid 6-0 win against East Fife, The team currently sitting bottom of the league. Today we showed Fife and the rest of the league that they should fear us, as we have done for the last two months. Hopefully the lads can keep their concentration levels high and knock out a few more wins this month.

Airdrie United 0-1 Rangers

Scottish League 1

Not the most comfortable result we could have hoped for however a win is a win, and Nick Law was the player that provided it. Airdrie have been unstable most of the season, sitting mid table for the last month and it doesn't help that countless takeovers have collapsed, however...to be fair to them they turned up for the game raring to go and gave us a great game, yes, as the stats show we could and should have had a lot more goals but they were very good in defence and I have to hand it to them...they are one of the few teams that have held us to just one goal so far which...given our quality, is impressive for a team in this league.

Rangers 5-0 Stranraer

Scottish League 1

Another comfortable win in the league, this time against Stranraer, they didn't seem like a team that were even bothered about a loss let alone a win. We dominated once again from start to finish and the lads put in a marvellous display of football, that saw us stay top of the league on 27 points. A great game.

Stenhousemuir 0-0 Rangers

Scottish League 1

A fairly even performance, with a fair result to match. Stenhousemuir turned up tonight and played out of their skin, but so did we, and we came out of the game as arguably the best team. However, we couldn't quite get the goal we needed and Stenhousemuir gave us our first draw of the season, on the bright side...we are still unbeaten and we sit pretty top of the league on 28 points.

Kenny's Thoughts

A superb month!! We sit top of the league about 10 points above anyone else and we look like we are going to carry our form on, if we carry on like this we can definitely secure the league title, or at the very least, promotion. There is just one thing that bothers me though and that is Neil Lennon's comments. I have the utmost respect for Neil and it's disappointing to hear what he had to say, I'm here at Rangers to win things and to go further in my career, I realise signing for Rangers hasn't helped my public image, but I am here to stay, and what ever Neil says won't bother me. Anyway, moving on, I think our player of the month has to be Sebastian Faure, his performances have been completely solid and thanks to him we have kept 4 clean sheets out of 4 this month.

Player of the month - Sebastien Faure

Great couple of months :)

November - An unbeaten month...again.

Rangers 2-1 Morton

Scottish league cup - Quarter final

We kept our cup run alive at home to Morton FC, we beat them 2-1 and we played very well. We will go into the League cup semi final against Inverness Caledonian Thistle, where we will be hoping to get to the Final, a Final against Celtic is very much on the cards as they have drawn Partick Thistle.

Rangers 4-1 Stranraer

Scottish Cup - Round 3

Another fine comfortable win at home to struggling Stranraer, we were fantastic all game and thoroughly deserve this win! Keeping our unbeaten run alive in this game, will give even more confidence against the bigger teams, and will give us more momentum to push on in this run! We will face Aberdeen in the next round.

Rangers 2-1 Dunfermline

Scottish League 1

We played Dunfermline for the third time this season, and have beaten them for the third time. We were winning 1-0 for most of the game until the 59th minute when they levelled the scores, but as we have seen so many times this season, you never wright Rangers out...We managed to get another in the 72nd minute and won the game for ourselves in that instance.

Rangers 1-1 Ayr

Scottish League 1

Ayr became the second team to hold us to a draw this season and they did very well to do so...or was it just luck? Of course it was! Just look at those stats, 2 shots to our 16?! I'm disappointed in my strikers for not being able to finish as well as they have done already this season...hopefully it is just a one off? I'm sure it is.

Forfar 1-4 Rangers

Scottish League 1

Another comfortable win against another struggling side but this time in the form of Forfar...once again we proved our might and also proved that the game against Ayr was just a one off as I had hoped, the lads played brilliantly and my strikers found the net once again, what more could you ask for?

Brechin 0-5 Rangers

Scottish League 1

Yet another fantastic win, this time against Brechin. I don't know when this amazing run will end and I certainly hope I never have to, we have been brilliant so far this month and in previous months. The game was one of the most one sided matches I have ever seen played, all I can say is a big well done to the lads.

Kenny's thoughts

"Will this run ever end? I hope not! We were fantastic this month and I'm very happy with the lads, the draw against Ayr wasn't the best but we picked ourselves up and dusted ourselves off by getting two marvellous wins away to both Forfar and Brechin, If I hadn't shut the critics up already, I'm sure I have now, my player of the month goes to Nicky Law, for putting in great displays of good passing football, his movement off the ball has been great and has helped us towards many goals, so well done to him."

Player of the month - Nicky Law

Another great month and great update Aaron :)
Cheers Pompey, I feel like im running out of things to say after winning so much but...i'll persevere!
Unbeaten run once again :P Awesome man, keep it up! Also I like the style of writing in your story, it makes it very easy to read :)
Cheers mate! I guess i'll try to carry on with the same style:P
Great story so far. How the hell do you lose to Cowdenbeath?
