Christmas comes early for Rangers?

It seems the Christmas season has come a month early for Rangers after the club was taken over by new chairman Ross McQueen. No one involved with Rangers' staff set up know where they stand with the new administration, and no one will be worried more than Scotsman, Kenny Dalglish, he'll be hoping the New man in charge will have the same mind set of the former owner, and stick with him. Many of Rangers' fans will also be hoping that this will be the end to their financial troubles and that funds will be made available for the club, to gather reinforcements for a promotion push.

We did speak to Dalglish, to see what he thought of the new chairman, and he seems to be under the impression that this is the start to a new era for the club, and he will be staying at Rangers. He told BTSport:"It certainly has been a busy few months hasn't it? What with all the financial troubles. But fear not, I believe that this is the start of something new...something big. I have been told by Ross that he plans on keeping me here and funds will soon be made available, how much will be given? I am not even sure, and if I was, I probably wouldn't be able to say. All that is there to say now is...Rangers fans...our problems our over, we are gunning for the top and we are coming for Celtic. Good-bye."

Well, the King has spoken out, and only time will tell if his strong opinion will pan out the way he wants it too. What do Rangers fans think? Well, once again twitter is what they have taken to, they also had some strong opinions to voice;

@RangersFan: Kenny-Dalglish @ RangersOfficial Yes! The one and only Ross McQueen saves us, invest the funds lad!!! #LetTheGoodTimesBegin

@TheKingIsHere: @RangersFan @RangersOfficial @Kenny-Dalglish Woah, man let's not be hasty, one step at a time, investing was what got us in this mess, but at least we are under new ownership #CmonYouGers
Hope this new owner gives you some nice funds ;)
Hopefully huge investments now :D
Hopefully your new chairman gives you what you want.
Neal: Yes, I do hope investment follows, and lots of it. Would be great!

LFC: I don't think it will be loads, however enough to get back up to the premiership:P

BayernAmerica: Hopefully! He cancelled Youth Facility upgrades though when it was like 2 months off of completion, which hasn't impressed me!

A very merry Christmas!

Aberdeen 2-2 Rangers

Scottish cup - 4th round

We started off the Christmas season with high hopes, gunning for a win against Aberdeen away. We went 2-0 up in the first 11 minutes and suddenly the underdogs were on the front foot. However it didn't remain that way as Aberdeen got two late goals to level the scores and get the replay at the Ibrox. The lads played fantastically, however im disappointed in teir defensive efforts, as we were so near a win. Better luck next game.

Rangers e2-1 Aberdeen

Scottish cup - 4th round replay

So after the frustrating draw at Aberdeen, we had to play a replay, but this time at the Ibrox, which was a big boost. We were still very much the underdogs but that didn't matter. Aberdeen went ahead in the 11th minute due to an own goal from goalkeeper Cammy Bell, but it only took 7 minutes for McCulloch to level the scores, however we never gave up and a tireless Nicky Law came up with the goods in The 118th minute, sending us through to the Quarter finals...where we would be facing bitter rivals Celtic.

Rangers 1-1 Abroath

Scottish League 1

A disappointing 1-1 draw to a team we should be beating, we are very far ahead in the league so it doesn't matter to much but I still would have loved the win.

Rangers 3-1 East Fife

Scottish League 1

And then East Fife was the last team to play in December, beating them 3-1. I'm starting to learn the good and bad teams in the league now, and East Fife really are not that good and they should expect relegation if they carry on like this.

Kenny's thoughts

"A great month for me and the Gers, we managed to fight off Aberdeen for a place in the Scottish cup Quarter Final against Celtic, who I am determined to overcome, and we will. A good win against Fife however the draw to Abroath wasn't the best. We are still top by a big margin, but it's always nice to win. I don't think anyone deserves player of the month as no one really stood out, it was just a great team effort all month long.
The draw to Abroath was disappointing but well done beating Aberdeen and East Fife.
Nice month there mate, will be really looking forward to reading about your Celtic match!
It will hopefully be a match to remember!
Good month besides one thing.
Jozef: yes, t'was very frustrating but oh well, it happens, and it is not as if it matters:P

Courages: You mean the draw to Abroath?:P
