In December we played only 2 matches, against the two teams from Craiova. From the first game we only managed to get a draw, but the second game was totally different, we won and we finished the year in the top of the table, 10 points in front of the second place.
It was a great season so far, everything went as I planned, maybe even better! Now will begin the winter break, until the month of March will be no official game, we will just play some friendlies. We need to strenghten the team, that's why I asked my scouts to do a list with the central defenders available and a striker list.


We dominated the game, but we didn't manage to score. I feel like the players really need a break, so I am glad that soon they will get the well earned break.


Well, this was a derby! First place meeting the second place, and what a derby it was! From the supporter point of view, this game was one of those game you wouldn't want to end, great entertaiment, a lot of chances, 3 goal, a red card, this game had everything!




After I declared that I want to bring players, mister Martian together with the rest of teh board, made me a surprise, by raising the wage budget, because we are standing far better than expected.



The Golden Ball award was won, surprisingly may some say, by Lionel Messi and the World Best Player award was won by Chelsea's Juan Mata! Two brilliant players!!

On the striker's list I asked my scouts to do were many players, but I decided that Darko will be the best signing, he's been in the Romanian football from some years so he dosen't need acomodation time and h eis very talentated. A very tall and strong striker, who will play on loan for us until the end of the season, coming from Rapid Bucuresti.




I didn't planned to sign a winger, but when an offer like this comes, you just cannot refuse. Pandurii, one of the best teams from Romania, offered us Paulinho on loan for fee, just to play him. He is a very talented midfielder, a player that will be a star in a division like Liga II.




Our last signing of the winter transfer period it's the central defender we needed so much. He will bring a plus in the defensive area and will make the others central defenders to train harder to be in the first team. He will also be on loan till the end of the season.



The biggest spenders this time were Manchester United, paying 34 million euros to PSG for the Argentinian Javier Pastore. If you ask me, I would say that this it's a poor piece of business, he it's certanly not a player of this value!

If you look at the results, it doesn't look to impressive, but I've got to say that in every game my boys played very well, we just lack at finishing. At least no defeat was recorded and now we will begin the second part of the season. We still have to play 6 games before the play-off for promovation so we must gathere as much points as we can.



I want take your time by talking to you about every friendly, I just want to say that I am happy with the performances and it looks like the new player integrated very quickly.

Another perfect month for our club! I am so pleased that we surprised everybody this season and dominated the league, but the season isn't over,after the next 2 game, the play off will start and we have to be very focused to gain promotion.
This month mister Ostojic, our Head of youth developement, anounced me that new intake of youth players was made and invited me to som etraining session and a couple of frindlies to see them. I decided to go there together with my assistant and with the chief scout, to tell me their opinion about the players and I can say that I was surprised! I don't know how and where mister Ostojic found them, but they are pure class! We have a great future ahead of us!




Well, we started the month with a draw against Bistrita. This was one of those boring games, very equilibrated, that you don't want to watch as a suporter. Overall, I am pleased with the performance and the result!



And after that boring game, here we areat the second game, one of the most entertaining matches we've played all the season. A lot of shots, goals, great saves by the keepers, overall, a great game!



Another very useful win for us. I fell that the players we have loaned this winter really gave our squad a big plus, we are now clearly playing better and I feel we have more dynamism in our style of play, mostly thanks to Paulinho.



Two more games to play and then we will be in the playoff, we have to win our last games to gather points now, because playing only against top 6 teams, I don't think we can beat all of them and we need a big advantage in front of them.

The end of the regular season was exactly as I wanted, 2 wins from 2 matches. Now the play off will begin, but I don't really understand why all the seasoon we played only 5 matches per month, we had 2 months of break and now, we have to play 9 games in one month...this it's stupid! Probably at the last games, the players will be very tired and maybe enven some of them injuried...






The local derby was again won by us. Our supporters celebrated all night in the center of the city, chanting our names!


In the last match of the regular season, we met the last team from the league, Minerul Motru. I decided to use the reserves, the players who didn't played so much, and they really impressed me!


I am very glad to anounce that I have signed a new contrac for one more season with UTA Arad!

It was such a great feeling to see this amazing guys celebrating the promotion! They really deserve to be happy because they were brilliant during the season. Halfway of the promotion playoff and we are promoted!Some great performances, of course, combined with some not so good games...and here we are now, celebrating the promotion!
Of course, we still have to play 5 games this season, and we will threat them just like before, in the most serious way! We want to collect as many points as we can!


And of course, I want to say "Thank You" to our suporters, they were magnificient during the season, in a lot of games pushing us from behind, being our's 12 player!
