Arsenal Perform Well In November
Arsenal Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said he was happy with 9 points out of 15. Good results against Southampton and Everton looked good and the fact that Arsenal put FIVE past reading.
However a poor performance against Wigan was not as great, Solskjaer and Captain Thomas Vermealen come out afterwards and called the result unacceptable, however credit must go to Wigan for there resilience and determination. The Chelsea game was seriously one sided but the best team lost. Chelsea were played of the park but just could not finish.
Gladbach yet again were dispatched very easily.
Arsenal 3-1 Southampton
Bennett (3, 88), Lewandowski (16)
Wigan 1-0 Arsenal
Arsenal 3-0 Everton
Cazorla (3), Monreal (40), Bennett (78)
Highlight here was Monreal's first ever goal for Arsenal. He somehow popped up as a centre forward and smashed it into the top corner
Arsenal 5-0 Reading
Wilshere (pen 4, 29), Lewandowski (18, 88), Keane (69)
Chelsea 3-1 Arsenal
Benteke (30)
Arsenal take up 4th spot and are only really going up in the league. Lewandowski is proving not to be a one season wonder as is Elliott Bennett. Stewart Downing's lack of form means he has lost his starting slot now at Left Midfield. Spurs lead the pack.
Arsenal 4-2 Gladbach
Vermealen (25), El Shaarawy (33), Lewandowski (41), Wilshere (71)
Arsenal have already qualified as group winners in the Europa League and they are one of the favourites for the whole competition.
We will see how the next month goes!
