really nice update Seni.. keep going mate ;)

Two set to join in January as Arsenal look to add depth to squad

It seems that Arsenal's former transfer policy has been flushed down the toilet as now that they have money, they are willing to spend it. Wenger obviously ins't satisfied with his current squad as he has gone out and bought both a goalkeeper and a defender. We can confirm that Ron-Robert Zieler (goalkeeper) has been signed from Hannover for a total fee of 7.75 million. Arsenal have paid 5.75 upfront and will pay 1.4 million over the next 12 months.

Zieler is very familiar with England having spent 5 years in the country in the past with Arsenal's rivals, Manchester United. It was at FC Koln that his career started back in 1999. The talented goalkeeper was part of the German team that won the U19 European Championship in 2008. In the future, Zieler will be hoping to make more appearances for Germany, having only made two currently.

Jonathan Silva who is Argentinean and not Brazilian is only 19 years of age, and perhaps he is more of a signing for the future. Reports suggest that the left back may be sent out on loan or Wenger may decide to place him in the u21 squad for now, to gain experience. Silva is one to look out for the future and Wenger will be delighted to have snapped him up before his rivals did as competition for his signature was becoming very hot!

Recently, a rumour has been going around that Arsenal were on the verge of signing Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke but pulled out of the deal at the last minute, due to the strikers absurd wage demands. Arsenal believed that the players ability did not match the amount of money he was asking for and so the transfer fell through.

I will leave Arsenal in January, I need to play football!

Well, it looks like the nightmare for Arsenal fans is coming to an end as Nicklas Bendtner is set to leave the club, according to the Danish striker. The striker has found himself either not included in match day squads, or just sitting on the bench game in game out. This season, Bendtner has only played in the capital one cup, which would have frustrated him a lot.

Speaking to a Danish radio station earlier this morning, Bendtner said:

"My time at the club is coming to an end. It is clear I am not wanted by the fans, or even by my teammates and the coach. I had a few good years at the club but for my sake its time to move on.

The world cup is just next year and I need to play games, which I haven't been getting at Arsenal. I thought that at least the boss would rotate the strikers but Olivier has been starting throughout and on occasions, Carlos or Lukas have been put up front. Come Janaury, Ii will definitely push for a move out of the club and somewhere where I will be wanted.
"

So what is it about Bendtner that frustrates Arsenal fans so much? Is it how he never seems to put any effort or care? Is it the fact that he's too sluggish and misses the best of chances? Or is it his beard and absurd hairstyle? What ever it is, they won't have to cope with it for much longer as he is on his way out of the club. The real question is, which club will take him?

Arsenal shutting up critics!

Arsenal are really proving people wrong this season and are playing splendid football. Many wouldn't have believed that they would do so well, despite the fact that they have spent some cash and strengthened their squad. The squad seems to be more balanced than it ever has been in years although there are a few problems here and there, Arsenal can now be called title contenders.

Premier League

In their premier league game of October, Arsenal hosted Chelsea in yet another London derby at the Emirates stadium. Both sides went into the game needing to win or else they would drop down the ladder. In the end it was down to which side wanted it more and in this case, Arsenal broke the Chelsea curse and managed to beat their rivals 2-0. Even though the score was only 2-0, in terms of each teams performance, Chelsea were disgraced. Olivier Giroud and Jack Wilshere scored the goals for the Gunners.

Next up for Arsenal was another tough test in the form of Southampton, luckily at the Emirates. The Saints had strengthened as well during the summer and would have been hoping to trouble Arsenal and dent their momentum. In the end The Saints failed as Arsenal played them off the pitch and ran out 2-0 winners. Once again, Olivier Giroud got on the scoresheet and Kieran Gibbs scored the only other goal of the game.

Arsenal's last premier league game of the month saw them travel to Manchester, Old Trafford to be precise. Following comments from Jack Wilshere and Sir Alex Ferguson, both sides were fired up and wanted to prove a point. Unfortunately for all the spectators, each side cancelled each other out. The game ended 1-1. Vidic opened the scoring before Olivier Giroud equalized for Arsenal. Throughout the game were some rash tackles and little fights. Is it possible that this game will now have a bit of that Keane vs Vieira feeling again?

With a great performance in the league, Arsenal are just one point ahead of The Citizens. They will be hoping that they can increase that gap over the next few weeks.

UEFA Champions League

In the champions league, Arsenal played two away fixtures in the month of October against CSKA Moscow and Ajax. First up was Ajax. Arsenal traveled to Holland feeling confident after their 2-0 victory over Napoli who are arguably the toughest team in the group. The Gunners got the job done with a brace from Olivier Giroud handing them the three points.

A trip to Russia is one that everyone fears, mainly because of the atmosphere. The CSKA fans were noisy and brutal, but the Gooners weren't shy to make themselves heard. In fact at one point, you would have thought Arsenal were the home side due to their dominant display and the noise their fans were making. Arsenal ended up thrasing CSKA 5-2! Carlos Vela scored a brace for Arsenal while Giroud, Vermaelen and Flamini got on the scoresheet. Doumbia and Vitinho scored for CSKA.

Two wins and six point meant that Arsenal remained on top of Group D with a total of 9 points. Ideally three more points would ensure their qualification to the next round.

Capital One Cup

Arséne Wenger used the 4th round COC tie vs Derby as a chance to play some fringe players and yes, Nicklas Bendtner played and even scored! Arsenal defeated Derby 3-1 to proceed to the quarter finals of the cup.

Player of the Month

The Arsenal player of the month is Olivier Giroud once again. The striker has been in frightening form and is scoring goals for fun, especially when his team needs him most. He seems to have a Thierry Henry swagger about him right now.
Awesome update and nice 5-2 win! you are definately shutting up critics :) big big big fan of this story

Olivier Giroud: I learned from the best...Henry himself

Arsenal and French international striker, Olivier Giroud has been in brilliant form this season scoring 12 goals in only 15 appearances. What has made the Frenchman stand out amongst other strikers is his ability to score goals when Arsenal have needed a goal most. Last year many called him a flop, but so far this year if you go to or watch any Arsenal game all you would hear is "NA NA NA NA GIROUD".

Olivier revealed the remarkable reason behind his success so far, a reason that would put a smile on everyone's face, especially Arsenal fans:

"When I first joined the club, I wasn't just welcomed by the current Arsenal players but former Arsenal players but the man who I remember welcoming me to the club the most was Thierry Henry. Him welcoming struck me hard, why? He told me "Welcome to our club, our home!" yet he was in America and playing for New York Red Bulls just like he is now.

In my first game which was against Sunderland, things didn't go to plan...I missed a very good chance and I could see the anger in the fans' faces. I spoke with him and he told me that the way I was feeling is the way he felt in his first game when he missed a chance. After about 5 game I hadn't scored and he told me about his goal drought when he first joined the club. I asked him passionately how to win the fans over and he told me "you must score against Tottenham" all the fans will remember that forever once you do and so I did.

Throughout the season, I was in constant contact with Henry and he gave me various tips on striking the ball, beating the defender etc. Towards Christmas, when he came to train with us, we would always wait 30 minutes after training and practice shooting, beating the defender and our movement. That is why I have good movement. Thierry taught me. The one thing Thierry has taught me to do, which I never used to do before but I value now is how to finesse. At his age, he can finesse better than someone like Messi, it is very nice to watch.

Thierry has given me the confidence and mindset that I am one of the most dangerous strikers in the world. With that mindset, I know I must play like one of the best strikers in the world which is what I try to do every single game. At times I am not able to do this and I understand this but I always try and contribute to the team. If I know I can't score I will try and assist a teammate or go and defend or make a good tackle when I need to. Football is a team game.

Sometimes I joke with the boss that he should sign Thierry Henry again so that the two of us can work together and terrorize the defense of other teams. I think we would have a good partnership. When he retires, I hope he becomes a coach at the club. If he is, I will be the happiest man of the planet.
"
A nice in-depth yet simple update, keep it up.

Thanks Walter :)

English football says goodbye to Bendtner in advance!

Come the 1/1/14, Danish striker Nicklas Bendtner will no longer be an Arsenal player but a Wolfsburg player. The German side confirmed the deal which will see them pay 2.7 million for Bendtner. Wolfsburg are said to be delighted to have signed Nicklas Bendtner and believe he still has the talent and ability to score goals.

The striker himself controversially said "I have been given an escape route from hell!". Arsenal fans would have been furious to hear such negative comments come from Bendtner about their club, after all they showed him a lot of patience despite his below average displays 90% of the time.

Yet again dude your updates are so in depth and brilliant!

Top of the league, where they belong?

Is this the best we've seen Arsenal play in years? That we don't know yet, but what we do know is that the Gunners are taking the league, Europe and quite frankly the world by surprise with their excellent performances in all competitions!

Premier League

If you ask a Stoke City, or Arsenal fan they will both tell you that Arsenal vs Stoke is not a normal match but now a rivalry, following that tackle that kept Aaron Ramsey on the sidelines for over a year. The Britannia stadium is not a place where Arsenal enjoy playing in. They are constantly on the end of verbal abuse and taunts, even Wenger to but his boys shut up the noisy Stoke fans with a brilliant 2-0 victory. Wilshere and Rosicky scored the only goals of the game.

Next up for Arsenal was Hull City at home. Wenger used this game as a chance to rest some of his key players and rotate a bit. Nonetheless, the North London side still performed an managed to pick up the three points with a 2-1 victory. The highlight of the game was a wonder goal from Yannick Sagbo, this goal even won the goal of the month competition so congratulations to him. Alex Oxlade Chamberlain and Thomas Vermaelen scored for Arsenal.

A trip to Goodison Park would prove to be a difficult fixture as Arsenal just...just managed to defeat Everton 3-2. Both teams played brilliant football but somehow Arsenal came out on top. Giroud, Wilshere and Cazorla scored for Arsenal meanwhile, Lukaku scored a brace for Everton.

Arsenal's three wins sees them staying at the top of the premier league but they've failed to expand the gap of one point.

UEFA Champions League

Just a point vs CSKA Moscow would have ensured that Arsenal qualify for the next round it was a point they got. Arsenal went with a more defensive approach and had many chances to win but failed to take their chances, something we haven't seen often with the Gunners. Final score, 1-1.

An away fixture vs Napoli was always going to be the toughest for Arsenal in their group. Once again, Wenger's side went out with a defensive approach and once again the score ended 1-1. Ramsey scored in the 90th minute to ensure Arsenal left Italy with something. Raul Albiol scored for Napoli.

Player of the month

Arsenal's player of the month is Sir Chesney. The Polish keeper on numerous occasions made world class saves to keep his side in a game and even set up a goal with a long goal kick. Congrats to him.
Come on you Gunners!!!, Glad to see you top of the league :) keep up the amazing story
