I can't believe it! We've won!
The first trophy of the season as well as my first ever trophy as a manager, it feels amazing!
I looked around the stadium applauding all the fans who came to watch, and all I could hear from the crowd was "Beckham! Beckham! Beckham!" It's a wonderful feeling, that's for sure.

I followed the lads up towards the stands to finally get hold of our trophy, they shook hands with many of the people around the area and got their medal, I followed, giving everyone around a handshake and a smile before getting my medal presented to me.

Vidic and Evra had the trophy in their hands, all the other lads were going "ooooohhhhh!" shakes their hands from low to high, they lifted up the trophy and all the lads cheered, I couldn't help but join in.

We celebrated on the pitch for around 10-15 more minutes, getting many pictures took of us from the media, it was amazing.

As we went back into the changing rooms, the lads were exactic and looked delighted.
"Can I have everyone's attention?" I asked, stood up tall.
Everyone went quiet.
"Congratulations all of you, you played great out there and deserve this trophy! However, next week the Premier League starts and we are playing our most fiercest rivals Manchester City, so whilst you enjoy your success, remember boys, this won't be an easy match." I said, walking out of the room.

What a great result. however we must prepare for the first game of the season, at home against Manchester City.

MANCHESTER UNITED VS MANCHESTER CITY - THE MANCHESTER DERBY

This was it, my first derby as a manager and who is it against? Manchester City.
It is also my first match in charge of Manchester United in the Premier League, what a way to start, a match against your arch rival...

Well, on the plus side, we're at home, hopefully the thought of Old Trafford being a fortress will scare Manchester City, however they are a good team, so it won't be THAT easy.

Anyhow, here are the teams:

Lets hope we are able to beat this strong Manchester City team...

Wayne Rooney scored the only goal in the first Manchester Derby of the David Beckham
era.

In the first game of the season, David Beckham's first match was the eagerly anticipated
derby which saw Manchester City take on Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The game started brightly which saw Manchester United come close to scoring through
Robin van Persie 7 minutes in.

The decisive and only goal of the game came in the 15th minute as Wayne Rooney struck the
ball on a half-volley from 20 yards out.

Manchester City have numerous chances but David de Gea was in fine form pulling off save
after save, to a point when City thought he was unbeatable.

This victory for Manchester United puts them top of the league where as City drop down to 20th,
however the rest of the leagues action takes place tomorrow so their positions should
change on the table.

Wayne Rooney scored a great half volley to secure the 3 points and bragging rights.

Manchester United Manager David Beckham:
"We played very well, going forward and defensively. We had the better chances and took them."

"It is a great way to start my league campaign with a win over our major rivals, and hopefully
this performance can encourage the team to keep up this kind of performance and win us more
games throughout the season."

Manchester City Manager Manuel Pellegrini:
"It's was a tough match against our rivals and their finishing was much better than ours which
cost us the game."

WAYNE ROONEY INJURED ON ENGLAND DUTY

Fans of Manchester United will not be happy at the news that Wayne Rooney came back from international duty injured with about 3 weeks on the sidelines.
Wayne Rooney has been ever present this season for Manchester United as he's scored one goal in three games and has been the key man for Manchester United this season.
Wayne Rooney has shown his frustration over this injury saying:

"I'm really disappointed at my injury, as it keeps me out for up to 3 weeks, meaning I'll miss our first Champions League match and possibly the cup game against Liverpool."

David Beckham has though many options to fill in Rooney's position, with Shinji Kagawa and Ilkay Gundogan both able to play in Rooney's position.

Antonio Valencia 15'
Robin van Persie 27'
Shinji Kagawa 42'

Solid home win, great first half performance but not so great second half, but 3 goals and a clean sheet against a decent side like Swansea is a great result.

West Ham United 0 - 2 Manchester United
http://www.unitedticketagency.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/400x190/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/w/e/west_ham_v_man_utd.png
Shinji Kagawa 67',87'

Another great win, especially away at West Ham, Shinji Kagawa was outstanding and got 2 goals to his name to emphasize that, overall, great performance, and we're still unbeaten!

Manchester United 3 - 0 PSV

Shinji Kagawa 85'
Danny Welbeck 87'
Sjoerd Olijve (OG) 90'

First Champions League match as a manager and I get a solid 3-0 win! Although I was quite worried that it took till the final 5 minutes before we made a breakthrough, however 3 goals and a clean sheet!

Aston Villa 1 - 4 Manchester United
http://www.unitedticketagency.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/400x190/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/v/i/villa_v_man_utd.png
Fabian Delph 15'
Antonio Valencia 20', 47'
Jonny Evans 77'

Manchester United 1 - 1 Liverpool (4-1 on penalties)
http://www.unitedticketagency.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/400x190/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/m/a/man_utd_v_liverpool.png
Marouane Fellaini 45'

Danny Welbeck 35'
Erik Lamela 62'

Disappointing result, even though Spurs are first in the league, we deserved to win but Erik Lamela's solo goal earnt Spurs and undeserved point.

Player of the Month:

Antonio Valencia
http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Football/Pix/pictures/2013/9/20/1379704289693/Antonio-Valencia-Manchest-008.jpg

No brainer, he has been quality this month and has scored numerous times, however the main reason I chose him is that every game he has played, he has performed well in.

Manager of the Month:

Mauricio Pochettino

League Table:

Doing well in the league so far, unbeaten still and are level on points with Spurs.

Overall, a great month for us and I hope that next month he can do the same.

Manchester United have announced a link with Stockport County in which they can send players on loan without Stockport County paying any of their wages.
Stockport County are currently in the Skrill North, suffering from back to back relegations but hope that this link will help them move forward;
"This link may be the start of better things." Peter Snape, Stockport County's chairman said speaking to Sky Sports News.
The link will see Manchester United pay an annual fee of £50,000 to Stockport County.
You're doing well mate! keep it up!

A great result, especially away at Cardiff City. Wayne Rooney once again was the key man in this game, and got himself two goals to show how much good work he did. Disappointed not to have keeped a clean sheet but overall, scoring four goals away from home is great.

Nani 1' 78'

PSV 0 - 2 Manchester United

Danny Welbeck 46'
Javier Hernandez 90'

We've won our group now after this solid 2-0 win away at PSV, we played alright in the first half, but our finishing was woeful, however in the second half we played much better and got a win which we deserved.

Stoke 0 - 1 Manchester United

Wayne Rooney 2'

Lucky win. Very lucky. Wayne Rooney scored a penalty in the second minute, but after that the game was boring, hardly any chances but we scored and won the game away at Stoke which means we are STILL UNDEFEATED!

Player of the Month

Rio Ferdinand
http://www.footballkitnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/Rio-Ferdinand-Man-Utd-Kit-2013-2014.jpg

David Beckham
http://www.louiseellis.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/david-beckham.jpg
Another award! A great pleasure to have won this award again and I hope that this good form helps us secure 1st place going into the festive season.

League Table

A nice 8 point gap between us and Spurs, hopefully they will drop some points in their next game so we can keep it that way.
A very successful story! A great string of results...wow! :D

The Dilemma.
Things are going great at Manchester United, it's a dream come true for me, my first managerial job at the club which gave me a chance.
Things are going so good at the board even offered me a new contract:

A four year deal... Do I take it?
I mean, as much as I love the club and the good results we are having, do I really want to spend another four years here? I could have offers from Barcelona and Bayern Munich at the end of the season if things go well..
I'll need some time to think about this...
