Liverpool FC 0 – 1 Crystal Palace FC

Liverpool have been struggling and we kept the pressure on them with a fantastic win. Campaña was excellent and Parr picked up man of the match deservedly. We kept the ball from them especially well towards the end of the game and managed to keep them out at their own ground.

Crystal Palace FC 1 – 3 Newcastle United FC

Line-ups:
Crystal Palace – Speroni, Hunt, Mariappa, Boyata, Cresswell, Ince, Guédioura, Jedinak, Williams, Benayoun, Gayle Subs: Price, Ward, Bannan, Chamakh, Moxey, Thomas, Bolasie

Newcastle – Krul, Debuchy, Coloccini, Yanga-Mbwia, Santon, Tioté, Cabaye, Gouffran, Ben Arfa, Gutiérrez, Zaha Subs: Elliot, Rémy, Anita, Ameobi, Taylor, Bruma, Marveaux

Goals:
Crystal Palace
Benayoun (pen 9)

NewcastleCabaye (16), Gutiérrez (36, 77)

After getting the early goal we let the game slip away and Jonas ran the game. We were poor defensively and Aaron disappointed after his game back from injury. Maybe it was too soon but our midfield three let me down badly today.

Crystal Palace FC 0 – 2 Manchester City FC

Line-ups:
Crystal Palace – Speroni, Hunt, Mariappa, Cresswell, Ince, Guédioura, Jedinak, Williams, Dikgacoi, Benayoun, Chamakh Subs: Price, Moxey, Parr, Gayle, Ward, Campaña, Bolasie

Bookings:
Crystal Palace - Cresswell Hunt

Goals:
Man City
Silva (16), Dzeko (49)

A tough game against the team chasing the title but that is no excuse and we were let down by Jack Hunt and his sending off. By then we were already down 2-0 but the boys grouped together and ultimately we were beaten by better players.

Fulham FC 2 – 3 Crystal Palace

Fulham – Stekelenburg, Riether, Batth, Amorebieta, Riise, Nekounam, Sidwell, Dejagah, Taarabt, Kaciniklic, Rodallega Subs: Stockdale, Plumain, Duff, Zverotic, Trotta, Ruiz, Briggs

Crystal Palace – Speroni, Hunt, Mariappa, Boyata, Parr, Ince, Jedinak, Williams, Campaña, Benayoun, Ince, Chamakh Subs: Price, Ward, Guédioura, Gayle, Bannan, Dikgacoi, Bolasie

Bookings:
Fulham - Sidwell, Taarabt

Crystal Palace - Jedinak

Goals:
Fulham
Rodallega (20), Taarabt (48)

Crystal PalaceChamakh (21, 45), Ince (69)

Top win against our London and relegation rivals. We have managed to put together some good wins but need to kick on if we are to stay in this division. 40 points for safety look closer than they are and we have to stick together.

West Ham United FC 2 – 1 Crystal Palace

Line-ups:
West Ham – Jääskeläinen, O’Brien, Reid, Spence, Rat, Edu, Nolan, Noble, Cole, Jarvis, Carroll Subs: Adrián, Collison, Morrison, Anelka, Tomkins, Taylor, Diarra

Crystal Palace – Speroni, Hunt, Mariappa, Boyata, Cresswell, Ince, Jedinak, Williams, Dikgacoi, Benayoun, Ince, Chamakh Subs: Price, Moxey, Bannan, Gayle, Ward, Guédioura, Bolasie

Bookings:
Crystal Palace - Dikgacoi

Goals:
West Ham
Jarvis (16), Collison (72)

Crystal PalaceBenayoun (30)

There were only 3 players who seemed like they wanted to play today and the rest barely made any effort. A disappointing performance to top off a tough month. We picked up two vital wins though and shocked Liverpool in the process. I’m pleased we’ve got the 6 points but it could have been more if the desire was there.

League Table

Very unfortunate results, but hey, at least you're not in the relegation zone, so it could be worse :P

Strange month, two great away wins and some bad home results too. Good to see you as far away as possible from that drop zone though ;)

Some mixed results, congrats on beating Liverpool, I always struggle against them :P. Good to see Tottenham have won a trophy too! :D
I guess that overall it can be seen as a decent month. Beating Liverpool and Fulham is great. Losing to the Hammers is a bit disappointing. However the games that you lost were against good teams that maybe are expected to beat you. Great update too, this is a really good style and I'm really liking them.
Naveed: Haha thanks but I'll take the win over Liverpool :P

Rab: Some definitely bad results but picking up vital points

Nick: Thanks mate - they won the Capital One Cup :P they're having a strong 2nd season

Jozef: Thanks Jozef appreciate the feedback on the style too! It's very tight at the bottom but we got to keep going!

Draws Galore April

Crystal Palace FC 4 – 4 Cardiff City FC

Line-ups:
Crystal Palace – Speroni, Hunt, Mariappa, Kyrgiakos, Cresswell, Campaña, Williams, Guédioura, Benayoun, Ince, Chamakh Subs: Price, Moxey, Bannan, Gayle, Ward, Dikgacoi, Boyata

Cardiff City – Moore, Théophile-Catherine, Connolly Turner Taylor, Larsson, Gunnarsson, Kiss, Whittingham, Bellamy, Cornelius Subs: Marshall, Hudson, McNaughton, Mutch, Campbell, Brayford, Ralls

Bookings:
Cardiff - Théophile-Catherine, Larsson

Goals:
Crystal Palace
Chamakh (7), Benayoun (28), Ince (69, 80)

Cardiff City - Whittingham (pen 15), Turner (36), Cornelius (39, 53)

What an incredible game. From 2-1 up to 4-2 down to 4-4. Absolute madness but the boys showed a willingness to fight and not give up. A point to kick off April and we need 4 more points to reach 40 with 5 games of the season left.

Stoke City FC 2 – 1 Crystal Palace FC

Line-ups:
Stoke – Begovic, Wilson, Shawcross, Huth, Pieters, Adamn, Whelan, N’Zonzi, Ireland, Shea, Crouch Subs: Sørensen, Palacios, Cameron, Arnautovic, Muniesa, Assaidi

Crystal Palace – Speroni, Hunt, Mariappa, Krgiakos, Cresswell, Williams, Campaña, Guédioura, Ince, Benayoun, Chamakh Subs: Price, Moxey, Bannan, Gayle, Ward, Dikgacoi, Boyata

Bookings:
Crystal Palace - Cresswell

Goals:
Stoke
Speroni (63) Arnautovic (69)

Crystal PalaceGuédioura (2)

Disappointing we lost this game after scoring early and controlling it. Speroni had a shocker and the own goal summed it up unfortunately. Cresswell really is struggling and I’m not sure how much longer I can keep playing him. We have to pick ourselves up against Arsenal and keep fighting.

Crystal Palace FC 1 – 1 Arsenal FC

Line-ups:
Crystal Palace – Speroni, Hunt, Mariappa, Boyata, Cresswell, Benayoun, Guédioura, Jedinak, Ince, Chamakh, Parr Subs: Price, Ward, Kyrgiakos, Williams, Gayle, Moxey, Egbo

Arsenal – Szczesny, Sagna, Otamendi, Koscielny, Monreal, Flamini, Arteta, Ramsey, Özil, Cazorla, Cissé Subs: Viviano, Bendtner, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Wilshere, Mertesacker, Walcott, Giroud

Goals:
Crystal Palace
Guédioura (90+3)

Arsenal - Cissé (53)

A great way to bounce back by playing good football against Arsenal and managing to earn a draw. It was a deserved result as both teams played an even game and this was exactly the response I was looking for. Creaking ever closer to that 40 point total but we only have 3 games left to get the 3 points.

Aston Villa FC 2 – 2 Crystal Palace FC

Line-ups:
Aston Villa – Guzan, Lowton, Vlaar, Baker, Luna, Herd, Westwood, Gardner, Bacuna, Tonev, Benteke Subs: Given, Helenius, El Ahmadi, Hutton, Kozâk, Agbonlahor, Clark

Crystal Palace – Speroni, Hunt, Boyata, Krgiakos, Cresswell, Jedinak, Dikgacoi, Guédioura, Ince, Benayoun, Chamakh Subs: Price, Parr, Moxey, Murray, Gayle, Ward, Bolasie

Bookings:
Aston Villa - Luna

Crystal Palace - Guédioura, Hunt

Goals:
Aston Villa
Bacuna (75), Baker (90)

Crystal PalaceKyrgiakos (58), Boyata (82)

Giving up a late goal is always frustrating but when it could have led to a win to keep us safe for another season is even more frustrating. A good effort put in by the lads and teams around us have failed to pick up points meaning we are in a good position to avoid relegation now. The squad needs improvements but we have 2 games to go before thinking about that.

League Table

A bit disappointing to not win in April, but you have worked miracles with Palace to get them to 14th!
Need to pick up a win to be absolutely sure of relegation :P. Some interesting matches, with your attack going on fire, while your defense has become poor :s
Shame that you couldn't win any matches, although a draw against Arsenal is a v. good result.
GAH sorry to report guys the save is corrupt and will not open. For anyone's interest, I lost against Everton before drawing with Sunderland to just stay up. Then in the summer transfer window I managed to buy Ander Herrera for 10.5 million as Atletic got relegated. I also got Adnan Januzaj on loan, Denis Cheryshev, Manuel Schmiedebach too and I signed Ryan Benent from Norwich, Alex McCarthy from Reading in goal and Eric Dier. By the time the January transfer window started we were 5th and only Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea and Tottenham were ahead of us.
