Nottingham Forest Take On Derby In East Mids Derby

Derby County go into this match as underdogs in should usually is a tightly contested match against us. The last five matches have resulted in Forest winning two, Derby winning two and 1 draw.

We are lying in 6th place in the McDonald's Premier League and have drew 3 of our last five away League games. Derby however have so far confounded their critics as the pre-season Relegation favourites and they lie 14th in the Premier League Table. Derby have lost 3 of there last five home games.

A win could see Forest move upto 3rd in the table which would give them a chance of playing in next season's Uefa Champion's League.

Ex-Forest player Antonio Cirjak speaks of the pressures of playing in an East Midlands Derby. These matches are very, very important to the players but most of all to the fans! The atmosphere will be electric and that also means the players would automatically rise to the occasion. Some of my best matches came against Derby and I am sure my old mates will take three points
Kiddy Yeah I should defeat Shakhtar but we will see

Barkley Ruled Out Of Newcastle And United Match

Ross has been ruled out of action for upto 3 weeks after pulling his hamstring in the Champion's League match against Shakhtar Donetsk. The midfielder will be a big loss to us and he has this to say about his injury.

Barkley is out for 3 weeks

I am saddened to miss the big month of December, but I am glad was able to help the club to go through into the next round of the Champion's League and I can not wait to get back into the pitch for Nottingham Forest.

Rumours are that Zulu or Fastelini will replace the central midfielder but only time will tell to who I pick for the role. One thing for certain though is he will definitely be a big miss for us.
Annoying :/ Hopefully won't be too much of a loss
LFC I really hope not but lets wait and see
Gutting. Such a hectic month too :(
Paddy Yeah unfortunately but we are forest and we will keep going

Keegan Bemoans More Bad Luck

So the day after destroying Newcastle I woke up to yet more injury bad luck as the guy I chose to replace the injured Ross Barkley ALSO got injured.

Bazina becomes Forest's latest CM injury

I mean you can either cry or laugh so obviously I laughed. Ivan Bazina had waited very patiently to play so when I announced that he was getting the nod ahead of Fastellini and Zulu he was very happy. It was however short-lived as on the 51st minute Jusef Poulson and John Lundstrom clattered into him causing him a groin strain meaning two weeks on the sidelines.

Allione is still out with a broken lower leg

Now I may only have 4 injuries but they are all midfielders and 3 of the 4 are Centre Midfielders although Ross Beharall will be back soon. Which will be good news although 1 thing is for sure I have targets in mind for January!

McDonald's Premier League Player Analysis

Eurosport TV have published an article on a few players topping the stats Table.

Spurs Luis Calla has the highest shots on target rate in the competition with 71% of his shots on target. Unfortunately for Spurs he has not scored many because they are very close to the relegation zone. Watford's Colin Kyle and Bolton's Premysl Lisicky have hit the target 63% of the time so far this season.

Calla needs to start hitting scoring his shots on target

Manchester United's Dario Airolda has achieved the highest rating this season so far with an average rating of 7.70. Nottingham Forest's Morgan Thomas follows in second place with an average rating of 7.69.

These two are the stand out performers and Spurs will be hoping thatLuis Calla can start scoring.
Haha the McDonald's Premier League

Yet Another Injury For Keegan And Forest

Giacomo Congia had started the match against MK Dons for the first time in 2 months. He started amazingly well and scored the first goal of the match in the 24th minute with a well placed drive but then on the 31st minute he twisted badly on his knee.

Congia is out for a while

He will be treated by the clubs physios and it is likely he will be out for 5 to 6 weeks. I am shocked, just when I thought I could go and have a run in the first team this happens. I am not happy with myself at all.

In good news Central midfield duo Ross Barkley and Ross Beharrall are both returning from injury and are training but it will still be a few weeks before they can be involved straight away.

I am definitely pleased to have them back.

Awesome Month For The Reds

In what has been a very busy December, we have picked up 11 points out of 18 but there are a lot of very well earned draws considering our bad luck in injuries.

The East Midlands Derby against Derby County went badly and we lost 1-0. Did we deserve to lose? No but then neither did Derby. I think I need to start bringing some local lads through who know what one of these Derbies mean.

Then came Stoke and Fucking Joleon Lescott! They held the lead for so long when they did not deserve it and I was starting to wonder whether we would ever get the goal we deserved. Well we did and it was through Gabriele Ghedin! It was one of them goals where it was all about one man. I was so pleased to come away with a draw.

Next up were league leaders Newcastle. I started Ghedin and Gajski up front for the first time and it was all I needed to do. I just sat back and watched these two demolish a tight Newcastle defence. First Gajski scored a volley, then Ghedin scored a volley to make it 2-0 for half time. I told them to go and show Newcastle who the better team was.

Ghedin then turned in another 2 goals and Gajski got another one to give us a 5-0 win. I was ecstatic and I told them they are into the title race now!

We then beat Southampton 1-0 with Adam Williams scoring from a headed corner. I was happy too that, that was our second clean sheet. I am very pleased with the way we are defending, but we need to strengthen and a few will leave in January.

Then we played MK Dons and raced into a 2-0 lead. Congia and Fastellini sent us on our way but in the second half we let them score 2 cheap goals so I threw on Jamie and it worked. He hit an amazing winning goal for a 3-2 victory.

Then Manchester United played us and Gajski set us on our way but United equalised very quickly. We were playing very well but Man Utd are dirty bastards and they injured Zulu and Rodriguez with the same injury! I mean the same frigging injury.

They both have Fractured Ribs and will both be out for 4 to 5 weeks. I am not happy with the way United play now, they are very, very defensive and very violent. I hope to god they get punished for because now I am without 2 important players.

McDonald's Premier League Table

Man Utd are top as Newcastle have hit a rough patch. We move up to third in the table and are one of the form teams in the Premier League.

After getting a 1-1 draw with Shakhtar (I was not happy just drawing) and Olympiakos losing to AC Milan we went through to the Champions League 1st Knockout Round.

The Draw

It is an interesting draw, Atletico against Arsenal is an intriguing one and Celtic have made the knockout stages and will play Sevilla. We now play Marseille in the 1st knockout round and I think we have a good chance of progressing.

Young Player Of The Month & Forest Player Of The Month

Gabriele Ghedin has claimed second in the Young Player Of The Month and also Forest Player Of The Month. He has been absolutely awesome this month and I can not wait for him to bang more goals in. He scored a memorable hat-trick too.
You beat Newcastle 5-0?! :( Great results!
