Ruud Gullit Resigns

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/28/6p4y.jpg/

After leading England to the Semi Finals of the 2018 World Cup in Russia, you would excuse Gullit the fact for thinking his job was safe. However after a few England players came out and said that Gullit's techniques were 'screwed up' and it was more the coaching staff that did anything you new there were cracks starting to appear.

I mean here is a man that has really acheived nothing in management. He says he is going to play sexy football and all he has to show for it is one F.A Cup Trophy and that was back in 1997! Not really a top drawer manager is it.

So the FA have told him its over, they have had enough and with the young crop of top drawer players England have now they should be getting to finals. There are now young players coming of age, like 23 year old Left Back Luke Shaw.

Shaw who plays for Man City is one of 3 top class City players who are good enough for any team in the world.

There is also 24 year old Center Midfielder Ross Barkley who although has only got 10 caps to his name is a big player for Man City and should become a big player for England

Completing the City trio is Central Midfielder James Ward-Prowse who left Southampton for 23m last season and is a huge player for England.

Then there is Arsenal and England Captain Jack Wilshere, who has 59 caps to his name and is still only 26. There are more that can be mentioned like Will Hughes who moved to Norwich in 2014 for 3m and is now worth 29.5m

You Are Hired

The FA have shockingly convinced Kevin Keegan to come out of retirement. The 67 year old last managed Newcast in 2008, that was 10 years ago but he is confident he can do the job.

It is a pleasure to be back! Kev said. I expect to win things with this team we have some really good players and I can not wait to get stuck in. I do expect to change the Captain though. Jack Wilshere will not be happy but I will deal with that!

So Keegan is back but will he be able to take England to a Major Final or even Qualify first only time will tell.

Woot go Ruud Gullit and Di Matteo's 43 second goal, yeah :D

Keegan's Notes

When I say at Old Trafford for the first time in 10 years I really felt the atmosphere. It was afterall Old Trafford, hosting 79,500 screaming fans to hopefully watch there team, prodominatly English take on a Man City team again prodominatly English. It was the perfect game for me to go and see. Wilfried Zaha was absolutely unstoppable and on that game alone merits the place in my first squad. Joining him from Man Utd will be Danny Welbeck and Phil Jones. Welbeck has been such an ambassador for Manchester United. Manchester City did also impress me, espeicially there midfield. Ross Barkley and James Ward-Prowse looked world class. Luke Shaw bombs up and down the wing like theres no tomorrow. These players are going to be crucial for England.

These Friendlies against Sweden and U.S.A are a good chance to look at a few players that have seriously impressed me. One of those is Dan Burn of West Brom. He has been solid in the 3 games I have watched of West Brom. He is good at intercepting the ball and heading so will get a chance in one of the two games. I have also decided to Raheem Stirling who only has 1 appearance for England which is shocking. He is Newcastle United's first choice winger.

The attackers I have gone for Welbeck, Mason Bennett from Villa and Harry Kane of Norwich.

Bennett is a young up coming striker who still needs time but also the experience will be very well deserved, Kane however is top quality in my eyes and my scouts highly recommend him on his club form.

So the squad is announced, thanks for everyone coming.

Keegan's Notes

As Kevin Keegan sat down, members of the Press were wondering why 23 year old Will Hughes, not in the squad was sitting by him and even more so why James Ward-Prowse, 24 was also there but the shock was where were Leighton Baines and Jack Wilshere.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/202/lqe7.jpg/

The Press finally come to a silence and Keegan starts ' Thank you all for coming in a very unplanned press conference. I have decided that with my new regeme calls for a new captain and vice captain. Wilshere was an awesome Captain, but I feel a change is in need so I have decided to name Will Hughes as England's newest Captain. Hughes is currently Vice Captain for Norwich and is very knowledgable but also very loyal. Just look at his time with Norwich, they took a gamble and paid 3m for him and then he has stuck with them and helped them establish themselves as a top 10 Premier League Club.
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/32/5yfd.jpg/

The Vice Captaincy I have given to Manchester City Central Midfielder James Ward-Prowse. Now I understand these are young leaders but it does not matter how young you are, you are either a Leader or your not. Ward-Prowse for me has it all, ability, temperament and a tackle that must be one of the best in the world. I think with these two players leading the way we can take on the world!

We have a good core of players and this is goign to be a good time thats for sure!

Keegan's Notes

Well that could have gone better couldn't it. I decided to give Dan Burn a debut and he put in a solid performance. Ekdal capitalised on a Zaha error to pounce and score Swedens winner. I however saw the positives. Fraser Foster put in a very good performance and Phil Jones also impressed as we tried to push for an equaliser.

Zaha was good down the wing but it was Mason Bennett that stood out once he came on he was busy and had numerous attempts on target but England just couldnt hit the winner.

Four days later and we played the U.S.A and I decided to give goalkeeper Simon Moore his first cap for England. Some people have questioned this because in three season's he has played just 3 times but however we have to look at who is available for our country. I also decided to start Mason Bennett and Chris Smalling. We started slow again and U.S.A were two up before half time. I bought on Leighton Baines for Luke Shaw, not because he had done anything wrong but because I needed a wise head. Ince won us a penalty which Baines slotted away calmly. Yes not the best ever start but they are friendlies for a reason.

Great start, not so great friendlies but you can improve :)
Nice start! Always enjoy a story about the three lions, good look Jason!

Keegan's Notes

So after losing the last two games, I decided to make a couple of changes for the Serbian European Qualifying match. I decided that Mason Bennett's form was not good enough so I recalled Berahino who has been scoring for fun for Man City. Nathanial Clyne also got recalled and other than them I kept mostly the same team.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/23/fzw7.jpg/

The match again Serbia kicked off, Joe Hart was back in goal Ward-Prowse and Will Hughes both also starting. Saido Berahino winning his 14th cap pulled up running for a ball. I then had to change to a 4-2-3-1. Hughes then scored a cracking header to make it 1-0. 10 minutes later and it was 2-0, god we were playing fluid 1 or 2 touch football. Ince was running the show in the first half. Half time came and i told the lads not to get too complacant.

That is however is exactly what happened. In the 60th minute a poor back pass from subsitute Jack Wilshere caused panic as Mitrovic rounded Hart to score. There were back in the game. The second goal no keeper or team could have done anything about. they took a corner Smalling headed it away then BAM Milunovic struck the sweetest volley you would ever see.

The whistle went and we had drew 2-2 and although we gave one goal away, we still are top and it is still in our hands.

We then had a friendly in Norway. I told the guys in the dressing room that I expected my first victory as England manager. I made a couple of changes. Berahino was injured so I called up Wayne Rooney as cover. I gave Jack Wilshere and Raheem Stirling a start.

The first half was England all the way. Welbeck, Stirling and Hughes came very close. On the 32nd minute James Ward-Prowse struck for England as his crisp left foot shot hit the bottom right hand corner. The 9 minutes later Ward-Prowse, in good form for his club Man City struck again as he headed home from a corner to make it 2-0. At Half Time I told the boys to better not throw this one away. I bought Ince, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Henderson and Forster on for the second half.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/827/5f3z.jpg/

England again started brightly, Ward-Prowse the scored his first hattrick for England on the 86th minute. He picked the ball up on the half way line and skinned 3 players before slotting home for his hattrick and a 3-0 win.

We looked good in the two games and to be honest I think we will kick on from here. I have an amazing pool of players and I cant wait until we meet up again.

Keegan's Notes

When it came to squad naming time, I had a few issue's. Gary Neville had told me that a few players were 'under-performing' especially Dan Burn, so I made 5 changes. I called Saido Berahino back up and Nathanial Chalobah. Will Hughes said that confidence was high in the camp. We took off to go to Montenegro and had to circle and touch back down at Heathrow. The plane had an Engine failiure. It was a very scary time for the squad but the airport staff and EasyJet looked after us well. We only got charged £32 to exchange our seats!

FInally a day late we landed in Podgorica and to our relief we were here.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/844/76le.jpg/

We went straight to training where Nathanial Clyne and Nathan Redmond trained very, very well. The day of the match I had decided to recall Joe Hart in goal. He is the best Keeper we have had for England for some time. Jones and Smalling were my Centre Back pairing. Clyne and Shaw are the wingers. I opted for the quicker the better for this match as Montenegro are slow. I did decide that Redmond would get the nod in a attacking midfield of 3 including Ross Barkley and Will Hughes our Captain. Danny Welbeck as usual the lone striker.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/829/iahe.jpg/

They hit first with Jovetic, Montenegro's best player ever scored after Shaw made a bad error. He avenged that too by delivering the cross for Welbeck's equalizer and we went to half time 1-1. On the 51st minute Wlbeck picked it up deep and played a wonderful one-two with Wilshere, who was very impressive to allow Welbeck to almost walk it into the net and surely England are on there way to winning. Welbeck and Hughes were subbed for Berahino and Chalobah who interacted well to allow Ross Barkley to strike a 30 yard screamer into the back of the net.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/20/iuhg.jpg/

We won 3-1 and looked good as we went back in I congratulated the team but also told them that we now have Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium. They are in good form at home but damn awful away.

We got there on time this time. The only changes were Oxlade-Chamberlain and Caulker in.

The match kicked off and immediately you could tell Wales were up for it. Joe Allen and Adam Matthews looked well up for it. On the 5th minute Allen played a defence splitting pass for Gareth Bale to smash home. No defence would ever have kept that out! Bale looked happy but he was about to get a gift from god! Caulker and Smalling, who dont usually play together got in a mix up and then Bale ran through again to score 2 goals in 2 minutes and England looked in all sorts of trouble.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/833/9s2s.jpg/

To our credit, captain Will Hughes looked on fire and tested Hennessay a couple of times but we were just glad to get to half time 2-0 down but we were in all sorts of trouble. I bought on Jones and Clyne to try and do something because Jones is a monster tackler when in midfield and it paid off. In the 54th minute Jones played the ball to Redmond on the wing but instead of sprinting down the wing he danced his way through to thump his first goal for England and we deserved it thoroughly. I took off Welbeck who had a poor game for Berahino and he looked lively. He was having chance after chance and Wales were on there back foot I was just thinking 'If we dont score I am going to get murdered by the press!' Then on the 88th minute Hughes drilled in a corner and Berahino jumped the highest to score off the post and mean we drew 2-2.

So after the two games we are still top of the group but Serbia have a game in hand. I am hoping we can kick on when we play Paraguay at Wembley but also Kazakhstan in the Qualifier. It is still in our hands are we will win!

Nice detail to the updates.
Hughes seems like a good captain and Ward-Prowse I've always been a fan of. Nice win against Montenegro but I guess that Gareth spoiled the day against Wales. Great update Jason, keep 'em coming.
@Bayern - Thanks for the comment it is apprieciated

@Jozef - My Capt is Will Hughes and James Ward Prowse is my vice capt, thanks for the comment though :)
You drew Wales? Disgraceful :/

Jk, decent results, hopefully you can pick up your play and finish top! :)
@ Neal - Thanks I am going to try :)

Keegan's Notes

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/829/j612.jpg/

So the other day I went along to the Carrington Training centre to watch 4 of my main men train for Man City. Also I needed to talk to Joe and Luke.

I got there and thought I was in for a good day out with laughs and jokes. How Fucking wrong was I! I watched in horror as Shaw clattered into the goal post after clearing a header. He suffered a hip injury which rules him out for 7 weeks to 2 months. I mean now of all times why does this happen to me!

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/7/iued.jpg/

At the end of the session I had gained permission to talk to Hart, Chamberlain, Barkley, Ward-Prowse and Shaw. I asked how they felt they were performing but for some reason Alex was really cold towards me. Turns out he thinks he should be in the team ahead of Will Hughes, well I quickly shot him down and told him if he had this attitude he would not even be picked for the squad.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/713/li9r.jpg/

Well he got in a sulk and buggered off. I told Ward-Prowse and Hart that we needed them both to be on top form for England like they are for Man City, they obviously agreed. Joe even saying that he almost thinks he should be dropped. I promised him if he was injury free he would feature for the national team in both matches coming up.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/841/bdy5.jpg/

Ross Barkley stood quietly and I gently said to him that I feel hes become a bit lazy and that I MIGHT drop him from the next squad if he doesn't buck his ideas up. He acknowledged he wasn't playing his best and promised to knuckle down.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/560/nd5a.jpg/

I asked Luke how he was and he said that he had saw better days. However wanted to make sure he would be picked for the quad once fit. I told him that only Will and James are certs for the England squads at the moment so he would need to show the same form as before.

They all walked off and Alex was still pissed with me so I have already decided to omit him from the next squad. No one messes with me and he will find that out. It is a shame really because he is pushing for a first team spot but hey nevermind Wilfried Zaha was on fire at the end of this season. That was also there last training session before a break for end of season so Luke was even more unlucky.
