SANDRO BACKS PADDY

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Sandro has shown his support for new boss Paddy in the light of his unexpected appointment.

Paddy was announced as the new manager of Spurs before the surprise revelation last week of his support of Arsenal as a child.

However, Sandro has been impressed by the Englishman’s managerial skills over the recent days and has declared that he and his teammates are fully behind Paddy.

“It’s not easy to come to a team like Tottenham under his reputation but I think Paddy can really succeed with us this year.

“I’m very happy with the way he coaches, his style of play and leadership. His approach is unique and I trust him and Levy who appointed him that this is a good choice for Tottenham.”

Sandro felt Paddy's support of ‘the Gunners’ meant nothing and that fans shouldn’t be put off by the past.

“Football is like this. When you like football, you support someone but he is on a different stage to many now because football is his job.

“Just think about how many players have played against their favourite teams. What matters is that he is Tottenham’s manager and all fans should support us and our decisions.”

The Brazilian midfielder is thought to be close to becoming another option for Paddy midfield as he returns to full fitness following a long term knee injury.

SPURS TRANSFER WATCH

Tottenham Hotspur could be about to return to the transfer market following the appointment of Paddy.

Spurs sold their talisman Gareth Bale for £85.3 million to Real Madrid before Andre Villas-Boas spent a large sum of that cash on none other than seven new players before his sacking.

Now new boss, Paddy has admitted a couple of new faces may walk in through the doors at White Hart Lane as the Englishman braces himself for talks with Director of Football, Franco Baldini and the chairman, Daniel Levy.

Who may arrive I hear you ask? This lot!

Leighton Baines

Following the sale of Marouane Fellaini to Manchester United, Leighton Baines is believed to be the next to depart the blue half of Merseyside. Spurs were known to be looking into signing a new left back under AVB, so this could be an area Paddy may want reinforcing in the knowledge that Danny Rose is ‘the Lilywhites’’ only left back. Spurs will have to put up a good fight in the race for his signature however, with Manchester United and Chelsea also interested in the services of the man valued at £24 million.

Keisuke Honda

CSKA Moscow’s star man, Honda, is set on leaving Russia. We just need to find out to whom? Tottenham are thought to be very keen on his services according to the 27 year old, whose deal expires in January. Just like Baines however, their interest also has company, with AC Milan looking to buy the Japanese midfielder for a cut-price deal now as opposed to on a free transfer in January.

Leandro Damiao

Tottenham have been in pursuit of Leandro Damiao’s for a few seasons now with all offers failing but alas, this could be the season the Brazilian striker leaves South America. Paddy is thought to be devoted on bringing in another forward in a time where Emmanuel Adebayor and Jermain Defoe are linked with moves away from White Hart Lane. With Spurs’ partnership in place with Damiao’s club, Internacional, the 24 year old’s destination is likely to be north London for a fee of approximately £12 million. I say north London because the other team interested in Damiao is none other than Tottenham’s rivals, Arsenal. ‘The Gunners’ are also interested in signing the striker in order to provide sufficient cover for Olivier Giroud.
Leandro Damião! Would be A quality signing for Spurs!
Spurs need Baines tbh.

QUARTET FACE SPURS EXODUS

Tottenham Hotspur boss, Paddy has confirmed the possible departures of four Spurs players this transfer window.

Emmanuel Adebayor, who had fallen out of favour under Andre Villas-Boas, and Jermain Defoe headline Paddy's unwanted list.

It had been reported that Spurs’ chairman, Daniel Levy, was upset at Adebayor’s lack of involvement under Villas-Boas but it seems Paddy may have convinced Levy to let the Togolese striker go.

“I’m at a stage where I’ve assessed the players at my disposal and know what the team is lacking. Unfortunately, Adebayor is one player who I feel will struggle to fully integrate within my playing style.

“We shall review all offers appropriately and won’t sell Adebayor until his valuation is met. However, I feel there may be sufficient interest for him to move on and therefore we are listening to offers.”

Defoe has attracted the interest of LA Galaxy, West Ham United and AS Monaco, with Paddy admitting his exit is also likely.

“Defoe’s career at Tottenham has been an excellent one so any move that occurs will be because he wants to as opposed to him being surplus to requirements.

“Again, we are happy to listen to any forthcoming offers as I believe it could be financially beneficial for us too.”

Also on their way out is Gomes and Harry Kane who Paddy feels are due a transfer to a new club very soon.

“Gomes has been away from first team football for a while so I suspect he is desperate to get some minutes under his belt.

“With Hugo Lloris and Brad Friedel here however, I don’t see Gomes getting the playing time he wants so a move would be our best option.

“As for Harry Kane, he is at a stage where he needs games to fulfil his potential and I don’t feel he can get them here.

“I don’t feel he’s quite developed as he should have and needs a secure project behind so again, it is very probable that he will leave us this summer.”
A Paddy story, YAY! :D

KABOUL COMMITS FUTURE

Younes Kaboul has agreed a three year extension with Tottenham Hotspur that will take his contract up until 2017.

The Frenchman’s contract was due to expire at the end of the season but wasted no time in accepting the new £68,000 a week deal offered to him by new boss, Paddy.

The vice-captain admitted it was an easy choice for him and that the current crop of players at Spurs excites him.

“When I got the call from my agent about the renewal, I thought “yes” straight away. It was always my intention to stay on at Spurs.

“I haven’t been fit in past seasons so I felt I needed another opportunity like this to fight for Spurs and achieve our targets.

“We have a great squad now and I’m very happy to know I still remain in Paddy’s plans. We can achieve great things this season.”

18 year old Nabil Bentaleb has also been handed a new contract on £1,400 a week that expires in 2018.

FRENCH DUO AFTER SPURS PAIR

French clubs, Paris Saint-Germain and AS Monaco, are readying up bids for Tottenham Hotspur’s Danny Rose and Jermain Defoe.

Oil-rich PSG are believed to have made to enquiries for Rose already this season, meanwhile Monaco’s representatives are heading for London to close in on a deal for Defoe.

PSG’s new boss Laurent Blanc is thought to be turning Maxwell away, with Rose at the top of his shopping list to replace the Brazilian defender.

Reports in France suggest that PSG have already launched two enquiries with Rose’s agent, Pablo Betancourt, stating his client won’t be cheap.

Rose has yet to feature regularly for Tottenham in his career but impressed in his time on loan at Sunderland last season.

PSG’s title rivals, Monaco, are keen on signing Defoe after Spurs’ manager, Paddy, alerted clubs of his availability.

Monaco’s representatives are now set to travel to London tomorrow to open talks over a bid believed to be worth £4 million.
Great to see Kaboul and Bentaleb handed new contracts! Think moving Defoe on would be a good move, he's getting on and isn't that good on FM (or real life)

Baines would be a quality signing, especially with Rose potentially leaving. Great story so far

KANE JOINS WATFORD

Watford have landed the signing of Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane for £1 million after he was transfer listed.

Kane becomes the first Spurs player to depart north London under the reign of new boss Paddy, who stated the Englishman needed a fresh start.

‘The Hornets’ agreed a three year deal with Kane worth £9,500 a week as he passed his medical last night.

Kane remains optimistic of fulfilling his potential and has indicated his ambition to earn promotion with Watford from the Sky Bet Championship.

“I needed some certainty about my future and that wasn’t the case in my time at Spurs sadly. Now I can focus fully on Watford.

“We have a decent team here and plenty of talent so I don’t see why we can’t push for a promotion spot this season. This move suits me perfectly.”

Harry Kane made one league appearance for Tottenham which was surrounded by loan moves to Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich City and Leicester City.

SPURS SNAP UP COENTRAO

Fabio Coentrao has completed a surprise move to Tottenham Hotspur for £5 million after he had been transfer listed by Real Madrid.

The Portuguese full back signs a new four year deal with Spurs on £68,000 a week and marks Paddy’s first signing as manager of Tottenham.

Coentrao had been transfer listed by Madrid after failing to impress since his £26 million move from Benfica in 2011.

The 25 year old believed he was targeted by the media as a scapegoat for Madrid and admitted that he was desperate to leave Spain.

“It wasn’t a good time for me in Spain so I was certain that I needed to leave Real Madrid. Tottenham showed great intent in signing me so I couldn’t be happier to move.

“I’m glad to be joining a new project in a league I believe every footballer dreams of playing in one day.”

The signing of Coentrao could signal the sale of Danny Rose, who has been targeted by French Ligue 1 champions, Paris Saint-Germain.

Coentrao was linked with moves to Manchester City, AS Monaco and Manchester United before Tottenham clinched the deal.
What a bargain!!!
