Dundalk v Shamrock Rovers

My Thoughts

September was a relatively quiet month for the club thanks to international call ups. With three matches not much went on other than the loss to Limerick. In other news we signed free agent Jacob Gibson to a contract. He is eager to play for the team.

Table

Epic pre-season results and a pretty good first month :)
Unlucky about being knocked out of the cup but at least you can focus on the league now.
nice results mate:) Keep it up and the title should be yours.
Lobato looks like a fine piece of business :)
@Pompey It really sucks about the loss but at least I still have the main cup to go and it is full cupcakes.

@baggies Cheers man, that's the plan :)

@P-KIDDY He is. Homie is ex Barca :)
I think you could win the title :) keep up the good results

My Thoughts

The key to this club right now is progression. I feel as if the team is getting better everyday. One point of emphasis that I have been drilling is teamwork and it is paying off. A few bad results that lead to draws, but I won't stress over them. We are doing fine and just need to work harder. Well on the cup front thankfully there is still the FAI Cup. We traveled to Belfast to face Championship side Belfast City. We would win and advance to the next round.
(Note to reader Belfast City is a created team by me)

Rovers add two more as loanees return to Tottenham
12/11/13

The loan spells of Tottenham U19 players Grant Ward and Giancarlo Gallifoco have finished. Ward came to Shamrock for a three month loan spell. Manager Mike Korrigan was looking into extending the loan of Ward for the whole season but could not reach a deal with Tottenham. Gallifoco's loan has been terminated due to injury. We here at SRFC want to wish him on a peedy recovery. Also thank you to both for their time with the club.

As we lost two young player we picked up a few veterans. Keith Fahey and Stephen Hunt join the club on free transfers. This is a return to Ireland for Fahey, he last played in the Airtricity League for St. Pat's between 2006-08. The native of Dublin has been capped by Ireland 16 times. The other signing is Stephen Hunt, he joins us after playing at Wolverhampton for the past three seasons. Hunt has been capped 39 times.

"Signing both Keith and Stephen will be a massive boost to everything here, i can't wait to see them in action."-Mike Korrigan

Both players could make their debuts on 22 November as Athlone Town come to town. These guys are not Korrigan's final signings. The team has until January 29th to complete any free transfer.

Bangor Celtic v Shamrock Rovers

FAI Ford Cup 3rd Round
0-3

Shamrock Rovers v Cork City

3-0

Anthone Town v Shamrock Rovers

0-0

Derry City v Shamrock Rovers

2-1

My Thoughts

It was an ok month. Started off strong and then went down a bit. The draw against Athlone was a little upsetting. You know there are some matches you should win, this was one. Finally the loss against Derry really sucked. They had the upper hand the whole match. The streak is over. On another front we added a few good free transfers. Stephen Hunt, Keith Fahey, Sylvan Eblanks-Blake and Marius Zaliukas. With the switch of the calendar many players contracts ran out. That is fine since they really had no role with the team.

Table

You're doing well in the league! Keep up playing like this and you can be at least second place!
Still 3rd!!!! u need to move up 2 places :D I am sure you will though make the top 3 match ups count dude :)
@AAN and Jason I shure hope I can improve. All of these draws are killing me.

12/12/13

As we enter the final few weeks we would like to thank everyone for their support in 2013. It means a lot to me and the team that you all have helped bring success back to Tallaght. 2013 was a good year as we won the All Ireland Cup as well as the EA Sports CUp. With the new league format we are looking forward to the future with Mike Korrigan. Below we will be revealing our new grassroots plan. It is known as the 2020 initiative. These are the goals set forth by me and the staff for the club.

2020 INITIATIVE
20 Titles by 2020: The goal is to win 20 league titles by the end of the decade

Cup Playing: To reach at least the semi finals of all Irish cups

Champions League: The goal is to make the Group Stage of the Champions League

Marquee Players: Sign well known and good contributing players.

The Academy: To grow the club from the inside.

Stadium Expansion: To increase seating as ticketing demand increase.

Globalization: Expand the Shamrock Rovers name around the world.
Some nice goals that I'm sure you'll be able to reach :)

Now go 2 places higher :P

My Thoughts

Best month ever. Seriously no draws this month. The addition of Simon Davies was well welcomed but sadly he got hurt and is now out for two months. We would advance to the quarter finals of the FAI cup. We will be facing Limerick. At the end of the month the FAI announced that I won the Manager of The Month award. The All Ireland Cup was also drawn. We will be facing Coleraine in the first round. The dates are set for 11/2 and 18/2
