Coventry City - Take Us Home!

Coventry City have announced that manager Josh Slater has signed a new three year contract which will see him up to 2016.
The board have expressed how delighted they are that the offer was accepted and hope that Josh Slater can keep up with his progress and help the club achieve lots in the future.

Slater joined Coventry City this season, having no experience at all it was a surprise to many fans and some wanted him to leave, however he has took them from the bottom with minus 10 points up to near the play-offs in hope to get promoted.

Coventry have also recently been took over by business man Adam Pearson and have stabilised the clubs finances, in hope to add extra funding to Josh Slater's transfer budget for promotion to the championship if they don't get promoted this season, or if the club get promoted, Pearson has stated that he will add 'as much as possible' to Slater's budget to try and survive in the championship.

Well, what a few months we've had. It was a struggle to begin with, with minus ten points and some tough teams to play it looked impossible, however we turned it around, and look at us now! Pushing for promotion! This month we've got some cup games, the first round of the FA Cup and the quarter finals of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy!


What can I say... we're on fire! Best performance this season, we controlled the game for all of the match, many goals and another step towards promotion. Carl Baker got us off to a flyer with a exquisite finish, then Andy Webster added to the score sheet with a headed goal, likewise did Aaron Martin. John Fleck got the fourth and who else but Leon Clarke, finishing the rout. Brilliant!


Solid victory in the first round of the FA Cup, hopefully we'll progress well and possibly cause another 'cupset'.


We're into the semi-finals! Great victory against Pompey with our captain Carl Baker pulling the strings and inspiring the team to a well deserved victory and a place in the semi-finals against Peterborough.


Back in the league, we've secured yet ANOTHER victory away at Bradford, it was a tough match due to Bradford's good counter-attacking style of play however Andy Webster scored again from a set-piece which is improving our position on the table!


Another solid win! Loanee Aaron Martin getting two great goals! He's been a revelation since he had joined, hopefully we'll get him permanently in January but we'll have to see!


Just like the Tranmere game we scored two goals but conceded one. Overall, it was a solid victory and another three points, again, Aaron Martin impressed with his goal but also his defensive work, and Carl Baker secured the win for us!


And we round up this amazing month with a great away win against MK Dons. Conor Thomas, my young 19 year old midfielder got us that vital goal, he's really impressed me with his consistency on the pitch!

Yeah I know! We've been in such good form lately! Thanks for the reply!

Just a little update for all my viewers of this story, it will continue however I will be making another story alongside this one, it will not stop but updates will be less frequent.

I am making this new story because I am not enjoying this Coventry save and I want a break from it and do another story with another club that means more to me!
