May was a really good month as we kept the streak going. The Open Cup has been great too. In the third round we faced Portland in a rematch of the final and won. Now it's time to face the other American Cascadia Club, Seattle in Seattle. This will be a hard match since CenturyLink Field is insane when it comes to noise. Goalkeeper Rafael Ramirez won the play of the month for us. He was impressive in each match he played in and had five clean sheets.

Some sweet league results and a shame about your defeat against Seattle. Lekics keeps swooping for the Player of the Month awards
RICHMOND KICKERS
Kickers win third straight title

Right before the playoffs began third year manager Mike Korrigan announced that at the end of September he would be leaving the club."These three years have been amazing, I would love to continue coaching here but honestly my time has past, I have done so much for this club and now it's time for someone new to take over."-Mike Korrigan. We had no doubt that Richmond would win the league again but we were not expecting this.
The match was so close that it had to go into penalties. Unlike last year when these two meet this was a much tighter affair. The key missing player was striker Luke Lekics who was called up for World Cup Qualifying.
In the shoot out it was defender Chris Korb who would be the hero as he scored the clinching goal. With this the Kicker have not lost a match in 81 USL PRO matches. It was a bitter sweet fanalie for a few other than Korrigan. This was John Thorrington and Sacha Gorres' final match as they will be retiring in a few weeks.
The Kickers will be returning to preseason sometime in January with a new manager. Will this person have the same success as Mike Korrigan did? We wish him luck in the future.
