PERSONAL LOG NUMBER 4
November 7,2014:

A few days ago I got a very interesting phone call from a New York number. I was like well who do I know from Long Island. Well it was from NASL Club New York Cosmos. Yes THOSE New York Cosmos. I was so excited that they called. Apparently their head coach Giovanni Savarse was sacked at the start of November. Their President Seamus O'Brien offered me an opportunity for an interview.

A few days later I head up to NYC for the interview. I took the train and that was really cool. Left the DC area at 5 am from my interview. The Acela train takes about three and a half hours from DC's Union Station to the NYC-Long Island region. After the train ride I took a taxi to the Cosmos office. I can't really explain how excited I am for this job interview. It is an honor to even be interviewed.

I meet with the board and we meet for a few hours. I really don't know if that was good or bad? They were a little cautious about my lack of experience but saw the potential. My selling point was that I like to develop and work with youth. Another thing I told them is that I will be committed to this club and will help bring the Cosmos to the top of American Soccer once more.

After the interview things felt really good and they would let me know in the coming days. I hope I get this and if I don't then that is ok. NOVA FC is still a great team to be a part of. Now I ask, does the Royals BoD know that I did this? Haha

Cosmos Hire Korrigan

Seamus O'Brien and the board of directors are proud to announce that former Northern Virginia Royals Head Coach Mike Korrigan has been hired as the clubs second head coach in the clubs history since rebooting in 2010.

Korrigan takes the position after having served as the head coach for USL-PDL club Northern Virginia Royals. During his one year with the club he lead them to their second South Atlantic Division championship by going undefeated in division play. They lost to the Central Jersey Spartans in the East Minor Final.

The 27 year old is looking into bringing in a few staff members from his time with the Royals as well as a few players from his team last season.

"With his youthfulness and drive we felt that he (Korrigan) was the right fit for this organization, during the interview we were blown away by his drive to get this club back to the top of America," said Cosmos COO Erik Stover.

"I know how important this club is in soccer history here in America, it is now my job to get this club back to the top. I understand the challenge ahead I am thrilled for a great 2015 season, "said Korrigan when our media team contacted him after getting the job.

The 2014 New York Cosmos placed 4th in the Spring and 3rd in the Autumn Seasons. The team is looking to regroup and get a chance to return to the Soccer Bowl at the end of the year. An Introductory press conference will be slated for Monday December 1st.

Cosmos add eight to the roster

Last month New York Cosmos head coach Mike Korrigan said that he would be revamping the squad for a better 2015 campaign. So far the first year manager has done that. The Cosmos have signed a total of eight new players. Ciro Capuano, Sebastian Sorsa, Tyler Hemming, Chris Besango, Stewart Allen, Daniel Clausson, Elliot Hackett and Noah O'Reilly have joined the club.

Tyler Hemming, Chris Besango, Stewart Allen, Daniel Clausson and Elliot Hackett were members of Korrigan's Northern Virginia Royals squad from last season. Each of these players are looking forward to rejoinging their boss from last season.

"It feels good to be playing for Mike again, I feel it will be a good season," said Elliot Hackett. Hackett spent two seasons with the Royals scoring five goals in eight appearances. During the 2014 season the 22 year old was the teams captain.
Talk about an upheaval! Hopefully your new recruits lead you to glory! :)
Good update, I hope the new signings do a good job for you :)
8?! Woah, a lot of players! Hope you can get them all working well with eachother!
Neal Same here a big risk
LFC Thanks
Aaron Luckily most of those guys were teammates so that should help.

"If I can make it there, I'm gonna make it anywhere"-Frank Sinatra

Good ole Frankie boy is right if I can make it here with the Cosmos I can make it anywhere.

Happy New Year!!! it feels good to be living in the new York Area. This is one of my favorite places to be and I finally get to work up here. So far being a part of the Cosmos has been amazing. The front office has been really good to me and I really like working for them. They were nice enough to help me find a place in Queens. That is a 30 minute drive to the facilities.

The best thing so far might be the fact that I am reunited with a few of the guys that were with me in Manassas. There was a lot of crap from the media but I honestly do not care. These guys will be great for us. Especially Elliot. He is a hell of a player and leader so I might make him Captain but I am not sure.

There has been one thing that has pissed me off though. We are not able to play in the US Open Cup (There is something with the file that does not let the Cosmos play in it). I almost resigned when they told me. Seriously not playing in the USOC how stupid is that?? Anyways I was told (just for stories sake) that the Cosmos want to be true to their history. Back in the day they never competed in the Open Cup so they wanted to keep the tradition. I am cool with that but really wish that I could upset some MLS teams.

It's up to you, New York, New York.........
PELE WANTS YOU TO WIN! If that doesn't make you win then idk what will :))

New Uniforms

The New York Cosmos players have officially unveiled their 2015/16 kits. For the first time since the club began playing a few years ago they will be introducing a third shirt. Like the last two seasons Nike and Emirates are the primary sponsors on the jerseys.

Influenced by Emirates partner club Paris Saint-Germain, the Cosmos will be wearing a variation of the PSG 2012/13 shirt. The home is the classic white and the away is the classic green. The third shirt is a tribute to the old blue uniforms of the past. It has the colors of the Brazilian National team in tribute to one of the clubs most influential players Pele.

The jerseys are now available on the webstore for $75.00 (Replica) $99.99 (Authentic).
Nice kits - bit expensive though :))
Bit late, but I love these types of stories Bayern, and the layout on this one is really good, keep it up :)
Louis Haha I saw on their website and was like wtf.

Walter Not late at all. it is only getting started and thanks.
