BREAKING NEWS: WEST BROM BANNED

Barclays Premier League club West Bromwich Albion has been banned from English football for the next 25 years.

The Football Association has released this statement:

“The Football Association has banned West Bromwich Albion FC from playing professional football in England. The reason behind the decision was the clubs actions over former striker Nicolas Anelka. The FA feels that the club did not punish Anelka in the right way, and allowing him to terminate his contract. We apologise to all West Brom fans for the decision, but the FA felt it needed to take desperate action to show that we will not allow any discriminatory behaviour from any player in England and if not dealt with in the right way, clubs will also be punished. We will be founding a new club to be playing in the Premier League to replace West Brom.”

West Brom have since released a statement that said
“We are very disappointed with the FA’s actions, but we will not appeal against the decision. From today on, we will no longer be a club in England, as we feel that we cannot support the club for the 25 year ban. All staff and players have been released.”

This comes as a big shock to the footballing world, and now the Football Association will have to find a club to replace them. The current towns in England thought to be in the running for the club are City of London, Fleet in Hampshire and Scarborough in North Yorkshire.

NOTE
I will try and update this as often as possible, but as you all know, school comes first! This also my first story, so any advice is appreciated!

An odd start, especially since I believe that Anelka truely wasn't at fault. Best of luck, I await to see what you will do with this.
Big twist! Wonder what will happen!:o
Good twist, Guessing a club will replace them -_-
I like this idea! Good luck!

FA Reveal Personell

The Football Association have revealed the Owner and the Chairwomen of the new club

The Owner of the club is famous England striker and Match of the Day pundit Alan Shearer.
“When the FA asked me if I would be interested in owning the new club, I jumped at the chance. To be part of this is brilliant. We know everything, like the location, stadium and things, but you will have to just wait.”

The Chairwomen for the new club is the widow of Wal-Mart founder John T. Walton, Christy Walton.
“When the English FA asked me for my cash to go into this football club, I couldn’t refuse. John loved soccer, and most of all English soccer. After all, it is his money, and he would be proud to be putting into soccer.”

These may have come as a surprise to many, but the FA got who they wanted, and two people with football, or soccer, close to their hearts.

The FA have also told Sky Sports that the ownership of the club will be different to the others in the country, as every two years there will be an election for a new chairman or women, following the same model of many European clubs, especially Portugal.

"This gives the club a fresh start every few years, and if the fans of the club don't like the owner, they can change them, without holding protests." The FA told Sky Sports.

Good update
@tbendis I don't think that he is at fault either, just an excuse to get rid of the club!
@AaronHJFT96 You will have to just wait and see! ;)
@AAN Thanks!

BREAKING: NEW CLUB REVEALED

Alan Shearer reveals the club to replace West Brom, alongside Adidas and Game

Owner of the new club, Alan Shearer, has today unveiled the club, alongside kit manufactures Adidas and club sponsor Game. The logo, home, away and third kits were shown to the public for the very first time.
Adidas CEO Herbert Hainer said
“For Adidas, the fact that Alan Shearer picked us to design and manufacture the kits and logos for Scarborough Lions is amazing. It shows the ambition he has for the club, and we wanted to match that with the designs that we came up with.”
Alan Shearer said
“The work Adidas did to make sure that the logo did not only represent English football, but the town of Scarborough, was immense, me and Christy are so proud of the work they have done, and we think they look fantastic.”
The club crest features a dark red base surrounded by two beige and white rings. In the centre of the dark red circle sits a side view of a lion, hence the name of Scarborough Lions. The home kit (shown below) continues the ring design with the club colours of red and white. They all feature Adidas’ signature three stripes

The away strip (below left) features the same design, but has the beige instead of the white. The third kit (bottom right) has a white background, with two yellow and black stripes running across the chest of the shirt.

Game were also very pleased to be a part of the new club.
“For the company, this is a big step” said CEO Martyn Gibbs, “To be a part of something this big will help the company a lot.”

Scarborough Reveal Stadium Plans

Scarborough will get a new stadium, but home games until it is finished will be played at Riverside

Scarborough Lions are pleased to announce that the club has permission to build a new stadium in Scarborough.

The new stadium will be built on the redundant patch of land north east of the town, and will be overlooking the iconic harbour. The stadium is to be called the Sandcastle Stadium. It will have a capacity of 30,000 and will be allowed to expand to 50,000 more seats.
Until the stadium is complete, Scarborough Lions will play their home games at Middlesbrough’s stadium, The Riverside Stadium. Scarborough will rent the stadium for £2.5m a year for the next two years.

The new stadium will be designed by architect Renzo Piano, the architect of The Shard in London.
“I want to make it modern and iconic, like the club wants to be. It will be a big challenge for the club and for me, but one we are relishing.”

The stadium will be paid for by the Football Association.
The club’s training centre will be in the outskirts of Scarborough and construction has already started. It will be called the Harbour View Training Centre.

After confirming the stadium details, the club needs to appoint a manager. According to Sky Bet, former Spurs and Chelsea boss Glenn Hoddle is the favourite to take the reins, with odds 2/1.

Interesting idea and a nice start :)
