August/September 2017 - THE REVIEW

Fixtures

League Table

Monthly Awards

Best Player - Julian Draxler - average rating 8.31

The club record summer signing has settled in to his new club incredibly. Perhaps due to the fact that their is a high number of fellow Germans currently in the City squad. The left winger incredibly has 11 assists, 2 goals and 3 PoM performances in his first 8 games for Bristol City. He also won the Premier League Player of the month award for August.

Highly commended
Kevin Volland - average rating 8.19
Like his fellow countryman Draxler, Volland has settled into life in Bristol amazingly. He has 11 goals, 3 assists and 2 PoM performances in his first two months at the club.
Stefano Denswil - average rating 7.95
The Dutch centre back has been impressing on and off the field at the start of this season. Amazingly he has 5 goals in 8 matches played and has been solid at the back.

In truth, any number of the Bristol City squad deserves to be mentioned this month as they are dominating the Premier League OPTA average ratings table so far this season:

Also Bristol City players dominated the Player of the Month awards for September:

Meet the squad!

1: Marc-Andre ter Stegen

The City number 1 has been an ever-present in the side since his Free Transfer signing from Gladbach when his contract expired at the end of the 2014/15 season. Since Bristol City's promotion to the Premier League the German has only missed one game in the league. At 25 years of age he is still young and as long as he can stave off competition from the younger Gerry Taylor he can be City's goalkeeper for years to come. He has been an able vice-captain to Mario Buitrago and is a extremely positive face in the Bristol City changing room. Probably considered 4th best Goalkeeper in the World behind Bayern Munich's Manuel Neuer, Chelsea's Thibaut Courtois and Man Utd's David De Gea.
