County snatch young midfield star
England Under 19 midfielder, Joe Rothwell, joins Stockport County after being released from Manchester United a few weeks earlier in the season.
The young midfielder joined Manchester United when he was only six years old and has made an extraordinary climb up to their reserve team, however new manager Guus Hiddink has decided to release him as he is not seen in his plans for Manchester United's future.
Rothwell only lives in Manchester so travelling will not be an issue for the midfielder and he is said to be 'delighted' with the chance to play at Stockport County and link up with his fellow team-mates from Manchester United who have joined Stockport County this season.
Rothwell will add a new dimension to County's attacks due his ability to run at the oppositions defence and hit those killer passes up to the forwards who will be more than happy with how the ball is supplied to them. He will also be playing alongside Jake Forster-Caskey which will make the midfield much more stronger.
"I'm relishing the chance to play for Stockport County. They have some exceptional players here and I'm looking forward to be playing under a manager with some exciting ideas like Josh Slater, who I hope will help me reach my full potential."

What a journey it has been, I mean really, your support has been incredible and I'm so happy you are enjoying the 'path to power' with Stockport! I'm also quite surprised that a number of you are following this story, as at the end of the day, it's Stockport County!
