Not a bad month at all, especially the big 4-0 win and the comeback against Luton. A tough couple of fixtures next month, but I know you can handle it and keep climbing the table ;)

Colchester 2-1 Truro City

In the first fixture of November, Truro got off to a poor start with Josh Sims opening the scoring with a top corner finish in the 25th minute. Colchester continued to dominate proceedings right up until half time.

After the break, Truro began to show signs of life and they were rewarded when Billy Jones converted a penalty after Colchester defender Jake Chaplin brought down Adam Boyes inside the box. This would be short lived however, with Colchester once again taking the lead 10 minutes later after Frankie Kent scored from a corner, in what would wind up being the winning goal.

Truro City 3-0 Havant & Waterlooville

In the FA Cup 1st Round, Truro faced Havant & Waterlooville who are currently two divisions below them. Truro immediately showed the difference between the two sides, when Kelvin Etuhu opened the scoring in just the 4th minute. Truro continued to control possession and went into the break ahead 1-0.

At the start of the second half, Havant & Waterlooville has two clear cut chances but it was Truro who was next to score with Aiden O’Brien putting the ball past Jon Stewart. Later on, Kurtis Match sealed the match when he found himself on the end of an O’Brien pass, taking the opportunity and securing a 3-0 victory for Truro.

Truro City 2-1 Shrewsbury

Truro took on Shrewsbury who were fresh off defeated fellow promotion contenders Portsmouth 5-1. Truro immediately set the tone when Adam Boyes scored in the 8th minute after Kurtis March presented him with a golden opportunity in front of an empty net. The sides would battle back and forth for the rest of the half but it was Truro who head to the break holding a one goal advantage.

Early in the second half, Aiden O’Brien took advantage of an error from defender Kevin Stewart to increase Truro’s lead. Only four minutes later, Shrewsbury found themselves back in the game, thanks to a goal from Jake Jervis who chipped Ollie Chenoweth to bring the score to 2-1. Both sides would continue compete in an even contest, but in the end Shrewsbury were unable to find another goal and Truro came away with the win.

Exeter 1-3 Truro City

Heading into the match, Exeter had defeated Truro in all three of the clubs previous encounters. Truro did not let history hold them back with Kelvin Etuhu opening the scoring in the 30th minute with a tremendous strike, allowing Truro to go into the break with a goal advantage.

Ten minutes after half time, Adam Boyes increased the lead, scoring from a Chez Isaac cross. Exeter found their way back in the game, when two minutes later Dylan McGeough scored from a free kick. After opportunities went back and forth, Josh Langley put the game beyond doubt in the 82nd minute, scoring from a corner to see Truro break their losing streak against Exeter.

Truro City 0-1 Chesterfield

1,754 fans arrived at Treyew Road to see Truro take on first placed Chesterfield. Truro controlled proceeding from the start creating chances and dominating possession. Despite their dominance they failed to score, with the sides heading to half time 0-0.

After the break, Truro continued to dictate play but they were still unable to find the net. The score remained level until in injury time, Robin Dempsey went down injured and was unable to be taken off as Truro had used all three substitutes. They carried on with 10 men, only for former Truro player Kieffer Moore to score for Chesterfield after a scrap in front of goal to steal the three points.

Truro has remained in the same position on the ladder at the end of the month. Relegation is becoming less of a possibility as the season progresses, Truro currently sit 11 points clear of the drop.

After some quality performances between the posts, vice-captain Ollie Chenoweth has conceded only five goals in five matches. Chenoweth, who has been Truro’s starting goalkeeper for five seasons also recently received tremendous reviews from Truro icon Lee Hodges.

After breaking their hoodoo against them, Truro will face Exeter once again after drawing them in the FA Cup 2nd Round. Truro is in for another tough month, with all their league opponents for the month of December currently above them on the league table.
Some brilliant writing here alongside management :D Keep up the good results man as well ;)

Wow, very close in the league! It can go both ways right now, but I'm sure you can really challenge for a play-off spot!
