Awesome update. You have such a clever way of including in game stuff into your story. Even just the one sentence interviews about the 2 youngsters is brilliant. I really do love this story a lot.

Truro got off to a terrific start when Kurtis March scored early, converting a one on one opportunity. Then in an unbelievable 20 minutes, three penalties were awarded with all three converted, March converted the first, then Jonson Clarke-Harris scored for Oldham and finally March converted the third to see him complete his hat-trick, giving Truro a 3-1 lead. Just before half time, David Perkins scored for Oldham with a placed shot past Ollie Chenoweth.

After the break, Clarke-Harris scored again when he found himself on the end of a cross from Ben Cavanagh, heading it past Chenoweth. In the 80th minute, Oldham took the lead when James Dayton hit an incredible volley from outside the box, finding the top corner. Truro were unable to find an equaliser as Oldham took the three points.


Both sides came out hesitant in the first half, with possession shared equally by both sides. Newport was the more aggressive of the two sides defensively but neither side were able to convert their chances heading into half time.

Both sides came out completely different in the second half as the game became more open and free flowing. Truro opened the scoring when Adam Boyes hit a rocket of a shot past Mark Cousins. Newport immediately struck back when Simon Walton hit an equally impressive shot to level the scores. The sides would continue to play end to end until in the 87th minute, Jamie Richards scored for Truro heading home a Kieron Morris corner to take the lead. Two minutes later, Truro sealed the victory when Boyes found Morris with a cross unmarked.


Truro came out against Swindon very aggressive, receiving five yellow cards in the first fifteen minutes, with captain Arran Pugh then getting sent off in the 21st minute after receiving a second yellow card. Macauley Bonne took immediate advantage, when the ball fell to his feet during a scrap, putting Swindon ahead. The rest of the half was dominated by Swindon with Truro failing to produce a shot on target during the entire half.

In the second half, Swindon continued to dominate. Aiden O’Brien was able to get an attempt on goal but the ball was hit straight at Swindon keeper Brian Murphy. In injury time, Yaser Karim secured the result for Swindon, scoring from a Danny Williams corner to take the victory.


Truro dominated possession early against Luton at Treyew Road, showing commitment into tackles they managed to create a few chances but failed to convert. Late in the first half, Luton created a few chances of their own but both teams went to the break without scoring.

After the interval, Luton took control of the match, looking like they would score on numerous occasions. Despite this, both sides would fail to find the net, leaving with one point each.


In an unbelievable start, Aiden O’Brien scored for Truro in the 3rd minute when he received a brilliant ball from Dan Green and then putting the ball past James Talbot. Just ten minutes later, O’Brien scored again, this time Chez Isaac contributing with the assist. Just before the break, Kurtis March would add a third goal for Truro, getting onto the end of a pass from Adam Boyes to see Truro go to the break with a 3-0 lead.

Truro continued to dominate in the second half but it was Colchester who were next to score when Leroy Lita smashed home a volley in the 71st minute. Despite the goal, Truro would continue to control possession, coming away with a comfortable 3-1 victory.


Controlling possession early, Truro took advantage in the 28th minute when an error from Shrewsbury keeper Reggie Dowe saw a Chez Isaac corner go straight into the net in bizarre circumstances. Kelvin Etuhu would increase the lead for Truro before half time when a save from Dowe fell to his feet, Etuhu capitalising and putting the ball into the open net.

Straight after the break, Danny Elliott got Shrewsbury back into the game when he converted a one on one opportunity. Despite the goal, Truro would dominate possession for the rest of the half, going on to take the victory.


In the final fixture of the month, Chesterfield dominated possession early, creating numerous chances and piling on the pressure. In the 38th minute, Truro defender Josh Langley accidently deflected the ball into his own net to give Chesterfield the lead.

Early in the second half, Dean Parrett added a second goal for Chesterfield, rocketing home a one on one opportunity. Aiden O’Brien gave Truro hope in the 86th minute scoring from a Niall Thompson cross but a minute later Truro defender Louis Rowley was sent off for a second yellow card, all but sealing the victory for Chesterfield.


Despite a reasonably impressive month, Truro find themselves currently in 17th in the Sky Bet League 2. With only five fixtures left in the season, Truro has ensured they will not be relegated this season.


Winning the award for the second time this season, Ollie Chenoweth proved vital for Truro during March. Despite conceding 11 goals in 7 matches, Chenoweth made 30 saves during the month.

Chenoweth has been with Truro for six seasons and is currently in his second spell at the club. During the season he has proved he meets the standard of the Sky Bet League 2 despite beginning playing as low as the Southern League Premier Division during his time with the club.


Truro will face some stiff opposition in April with every side they are schedule to meet currently positioned above them on the league table.

Truro took on Exeter in the first fixture of the month, getting off to a terrible start in the match. In the 18th minute, Joe Lolley opened the scoring for Exeter beating Ollie Chenoweth with a tremendous strike. Just four minutes later, Billy Kee increased the lead when he got onto the end of a through ball from Dexter Blackstock to increase the lead. Despite the two goals, Truro would dominate possession for the rest of the half.

After the break, Niall Thompson got Truro back in the game, hitting an incredible volley past Remi Matthews after receiving an inch perfect cross from Jared Sims. Exeter would take control of the match after the goal from Thompson with Truro only producing one chance as Exeter took the 2-1 victory.


Adam Boyes opened up the scoring for Truro inside the first ten minutes after a missed header from Port Vale defender Louis Laing presented him with an opportunity he converted. Despite the goal, it was Port Vale who looked the better of the two sides but it was Truro who headed to the change rooms holding the advantage.

Port Vale picked up where they left off in the second half, controlling play and limiting the opportunities for Truro. Eventually in the 81st minute, Jonathan Obika drew level for Port Vale with a placed shot past Ollie Chenoweth. In the final minutes, chances occurred at both ends but neither side was able to score, the game finishing level at 1-1.


Truro travelled to Plainmoor to take on Torquay, taking control of the match early and producing chances. In the 17th minute, Josh Langley took advantage of the dominance displayed by Truro when he headed home a great delivery from a Chez Isaac corner to give Truro the lead. Truro would continue to control the match with an injury to Adam Boyes being the only negative in a terrific first half performance.

In the second half, the game found itself in a lull with not much happening for either side. In the 83rd minute, Torquay striker David Moli found himself with an opportunity but failed to hit the target as Truro went on to claim victory.


In the final match of April, Truro came out aggressive looking to dictate play with Louis Rowley and Josh Langley receiving yellow cards in the process. Late in the first half, Truro opened the scoring when Adam Boyes finished off a tremendous move where Truro strung together eight passes to open the scoring. Just one minute later, Kurtis March increased the lead for Truro, capitalising on a poor back pass from Morecambe captain Tom Lockyer.

Truro continued to dictate play after the break, putting together great moves but finding themselves unable to increase their 2-0 lead. In the 84th minute, Johhny Gorman scored for Morecambe against the run of play, putting the ball into the net after an Ollie Chenoweth save fell to his feet. Despite the goal, Truro would see the match out in a dominant display.


Truro has moved up to 16th in the Sky Bet League Two with one fixture remaining. They could climb as high as 13th should results go their way but could also fall down a spot to 17th should they lose and Kidderminster defeats Morecambe.


Once again, Ollie Chenoweth has been deemed the player of the month for Truro. The vice-captain conceded four goals in four matches this month, making eleven saves.
