Great two wins to end the month out. Really looking forward to the next season of this story.

Not a bad finish, well done in consolidating yourself in the division as that was key at the beginning of the season

Portsmouth 6-1 Truro City

In the final match of the season, Truro took on Portsmouth at Fratton Park, Truro controlled possession early but it was Portsmouth who scored first when Jordan Slew volleyed home a cross from Liam Noble. Soon after, Slew scored again after having his first attempt saved by Ollie Chenoweth, the rebound fell back to him to put into an empty net. Just before half time, Slew completed his hat-trick, finding himself one on one with Chenoweth and beating him with a placed shot.

Things continued to get worse for Truro when Danny Rose scored after the break, blasting the ball into the back of the net to give Portsmouth a 4-0 lead. Kurtis March scored for Truro in the 70th minute, getting onto a pass from Stewart Yetton and placing the ball past Dusan Pernis. In the closing minutes, Josh Langley scored an own-goal, deflecting a cross into his own net. Slew would then score a fourth goal to see Truro end the season with a terrible performance.

Truro finished 16th in the Sky Bet League Two, an incredible effort considering they were predicted to finish last.

After being the best performer in a poor display from Truro against Portsmouth, Kurtis March was deemed the best player in the month of May. March contributed with a goal as well as making a few good runs and interceptions.
Oh wow, the boys must have been buggered after all those matches. ;)

Unfortuntate result to finish off the season, but now it's time to look to 2018/19 and look for a playoff spot. Onwards to League 1!

Pompey... ouch. Brutal finish, but a solid season you can build on. Looking forward to reading it!

After earning promotion and becoming a professional, Truro went into their first season in the Sky Bet League Two hoping to avoid relegation. Truro managed to finish 16th in the Sky Bet League 2, surpassing the media predication of 24th.

Next season, they are expected to be amongst the relegation candidates but with more experience as well as not having to adjust to being a professional club, Truro might be capable of achieving more.

Truro defeated Havant & Waterlooville in the FA Cup 1st Round, winning 3-0 with Aiden O’Brien, Kelvin Etuhu and Kurtis March getting on the scoresheet. In the next round they were soundly defeated by Exeter, losing 3-1 in a very poor display.

In the first appearance in the Capital One Cup, Truro faced Aston Villa who found themselves relegated at the end of the previous Premier League season. In a match against a side two divisions above them, Truro never stood a chance, losing 6-0, continuing the clubs poor form displayed early in the season.

In the first appearance in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, Truro faced Sky Bet League 2 rivals Portsmouth losing 2-1 in a game in which Truro did well to compete in, with Portsmouth controlling possession from start to finish.

Chosen as the man to replace Truro icon Stewart Yetton, former Ireland U21’s player Aiden O’Brien did not let anyone down. After starting off poorly, O’Brien found his feet, finishing with 18 goals in 46 appearances.

As he continues to develop, it is expected that O’Brien will find more consistency in his performances, with many scouts suggesting he could develop into a player who is capable of playing higher level.

After signing from Skrill South side Braintree at the beginning of the year, Chez Isaac finished the season with 12 assists. Isaac also chipped in with 4 goals, proving a very valuable contributor throughout the season.

Ollie Chenoweth was awarded the Fans Player of the Year award after putting together some stellar performances throughout the season. Despite Truro conceding the sixth most goals during the Sky Bet League 2 season, if it wasn’t for Chenoweth they would have conceded much more.

Chenoweth has been at the club for a total of six seasons, playing 213 games for club during that time. He was awarded the vice-captaincy at the beginning of the season with the role improving his performance in the previous season, despite being promoted to a higher division.
Pretty decent season overall, hopefully push for a playoff spot next season?

Nice layout! Not a bad season, with lots of change and all, but next season, now they will have adjusted, do better, and hopefully the play-offs might be tagged on to the end of the season!
