Well done on some big signings and a great win :)

Peter Crouch has signed a new 2 year deal at the club keeping him in China til at least 2016. Crouch has scored an amazing 24 goals in 30 matches since joining from Stoke City
good to see such a star sign on again
How is Diego Forlan performing?

March

we started off March and the defence of our title with a convincing 3-0 win over Hangzhou than a 1-0 win over Shenxin, our last match of the month saw us heavily under manned due to ACL duties midweek and we got punished 3-0/center]

so after 3 games of the season we currently sit in 5th

Asian Champions League

we currently sit top of our group after two very convincing displays this month

looking very good at the opt here and could virtually guarentee passage with a win in our next match
Looking good in the Champions League! Shame about the 3-0 defeat at home in the league though. And a very good, realistic signings.

thanks for the comment mate :)

yeah that 3-0 loss was a real kick in the teeth. Ill be hoping for 3 points in our next ACL match to almost clinch qualification
keep up the good work mate!

Swanston signs new deal

Guangzhou Evergrande have decided to extend my contract by a further year, with 9 months remaining on my previous deal I decided to talk to the board about extending my contract, they agreed and negotiations were underway

my players were in buoyant mood after hearing about my contract extension and knew that a win against Grampus could send us through if other results went our way, despite having less possesssion our man of the moment Zhang Zizhe once again stood up when we needed him and scored two very classy goals, plus an own goal from Nagoya Grampus defender earned us a 3-2 win

that win put us in first and guaranteed our progress to the knock-out stage due to our better head to head record with 2 games in hand
great work in the acl mate!

@Griffo Diego Forlan has made a fairly steady start to his Guangzhou career with 2 goals in 4 games so far, both coming in the Chinese Super League, i may be looking to offload him at seasons end though due to his stats decreasing fairly quickly and hes not getting any younger
Love the new banner! Its a shame he isn't doing that well, who are you looking at to replace him?

April

April was deemed a great month in the League with 4 wins and a draw in the 5 matches we played, im am very disappointed with the 3-3 draw with Fuli because it was a match we really should have won

we currently sit in second place behind close rivals Renhe, we are in striking distance and are ready to pounce on any blip they may have

we played 3 games in the Asian Champions League this month and were ruthless in front of goal, but definitely need to tighten up in defence if we harbour dreams of lifting the trophy
as you can see we qualified to the next round with relative ease and now await the draw for the knockout round

Asian Champions League round of 16 draw

well.... im very please to face Adelaide United, maybe one of the weaker sides in the competition and they are also from my home country. we will have to avoid complacency at all costs
my heart says lose to Adelaide united, they're aussie. but my head tells me you are going to smash them. good luck!
First time the draw has been kind to you... Make the most of it!
