Fackman - Man Utd : Manucho has gone to Valladolid :p
I would have liked him to stay but as long as we have some upcomming strikers its all good for united.
the amount of wages some players are getting are stupid. its soon end of football as we know it.
I heard a quote of Fergie "I will not buy anymore players", he said this due to the stupid money being thrown around, less than a week later he makes a signing....

I do agree with Red, if not the death of football then the death of the lower leagues. No longer will teams newly promoted be able to sign players because of stupid wage demands.

I think that Fortunes move to Celtic has shown everyone who said that the EPL is the best league in the world and all that shit. And that Celtic and Rangers could make it in the EPL, I'm not one of these people who will say "Celtic would walk the EPL", thats shit, Celts and Rangers I think could fight for 4th with Tottenham and Aston Villa. You may have the best teams, Man U, Liverpool, Chealski, Arsenal but the rest are no where near. That move showed that there are still some in the game for the passion instead of the dosh.

With the way Man City are spending they have to finished 4th at the minimum, if they don't the fans will demand answers and Mark Hughes will be the board's scapegoat, I don't think he has much say in the way the club works in the market (with the exception of Santa Cruz my opinion the best signing) and I think if they blame him and sack him it will be a great lose, he's a fantastic manager. And next year it will be all the bullshit linking with the big managers like they were with the players. The only manager who will touch them is one in it for the money, not someone with real skill, Mourinho, Wenger or all them. Might be regretting these words this time next year. My little rant!
adebayor on man city. . .now they have 32 players. . .ridiculous!

Rangers and Celtic at the moment wouldn't make it to 4th in the EPL, Celtic would have the better chance but Rangers would need some new players.

I agree that Mark Hughes is a good manager but with all the money they're spending on players you would think they'd want to get a big name manager too.

It won't be the death of football, look at the Scottish leagues, not that much money there now so all the teams have to look at developing Scottish talent and it's bringing through some quality. It'll be harder and harder for english players to get into the top english teams though.

Barcelona paying £39million(approx) + Eto(£32ish million if you believe the Man City speculation) + Hleb on loan for Ibrahimovic. Doesn't seem like a good deal to me. I haven't seen much of Ibrahimovic, just what he's done for Sweden and Inter in Europe but he's never really seemed like anywhere near worth that kind of money.
I always thought Ibrahimovic was overrated. Never been impressed by him, never thought he was good enough for Inter. To much, 32m and e'eto and hleb, what the hell!!!!

I'll second that i really can't believe this is going to happen, Mourinho must be laughing. Not only is he swapping a striker who is frankly pony for one of the worlds best he's also getting Hleb and £39 milllion :shock. He's not even worth £39 million. I think this has to be the worst transfer deal ever. When u add it up; eto value, transfer fee and hleb loan it works out about the same as the ronaldo deal :con.
Breakdown

39m
e'eto value, what 40m?
what would hleb loan fee need to be? 10m?

89m?

Well one thing can be said, well done Mourinho, another good piece of business in the transfer window.
i think barcelona are only doing this transfer because real madrid have done such big transfers.

i mean ok etoo might not have the best attitude etc, and they might have sold him anyway. but i think why they are splashing a bit too much cash and such is because they want to "compete" with real in the transfer market, thats what i think anyways.

plus barcelona have loads to spend anyways considering how much profit they must have gained last season.

plus ibrahimovic isnt a bad buy considering how great he did in the italian league, and how much more freedom and space he will get in the spanish league especially playing in a team like barca.

mourinho has gotten something out of this deal as well, he can handle the likes of Etoo so im quite sure he will do well with the team he has at the end.

but also i think he will have a bit more to spend after this on another 1-2 players.

if morinho had the money from inter to spend quite a lot he would build up a strong team. but he has to now take it step by step and if the inter board arent patient they wont get the best out of mourinho.

Real Madrid have stalled on 35M for Alonso. Chelsea and City are interseted now, which I think is a joke. By the end of august he will either be a red or a white. I hope he don't leave though but on the brightside we might sign Alberto Aquilini if he leaves. :yes
That's Toure signed for Man City then.
King Kolo Is A Blue
Why do they want lescott as well, I mean isn't that enough with dunne their captain there,
Ah well Elano signed for Galatasaray, didn't see a fee though.
