Clausen gets first victory in goal bonanza

August, 16 2014

PAGO PAGO- For FC SKBC head coach Evan Clausen it will always be a match to remember as he lead his club to a 5-3 victory over rival Pago Youth. The 27 year old was looking for an upset and they delivered.

In a match lacking defense both sides, goals flowed freely at both ends. The crowd left with a smile on their faces as it was an exciting match.

Midfielder Kid Faalou got Pago Youth off to a flyer by scoring an accurate finish on 8 minutes. FC SKBC would answer back within the minute as 15 year old Soe Telesa equalized. This would be his first goal in club history.

With about 10 minutes left in the half Faalou grabbed his second of the match from close range. With two minutes remaining before the half South Korean Kang Gun would score a lovely goal. After halftime FC SKBC would increase the lead with a second goal from the young Telesa. Later on in the half Pago's Oj Masaniai equalized for his side. Finally Gun would finish the game up with two goals later in the match to finish his hatrick.

"It was a very nerve racking match and entertaining, I give the guys so much credit for sticking in there and keeping pace with such a good squad. Hanzel (Bartley) has a great squad at his disposal."- Evan Clausen

Really Good Win Bayern! Nice to see that youre back with yourself and your crazy story ideas! Good luck with it and I'm sure you can win the OFC in the near future

OFC Champions League Recap of FC SKBC

With South Korean Baptist Church entering their first ever OFC Champions League the fans and coaches were excited. Pegged as the underdogs and only amateur club in the Preliminary Round Clausen's boys were seen as outsiders of the competition.

In their three matches FC SKBC was out scored by conceding 15 goals while only scoring 6. It was rough watching a few of the matches as the club was out gunned in every way, after their 0-6 loss to Tupapa Maraerenga the club looked absolutely depressed.

On the bight side 16 year old striker Sulifou Leota lead the club with two goals in the competition.

"These three matches were really hard on us, despite our training we did not deliver and it is all my fault, we need to focus on the Senior League and Cup now,"- said manager Evan Clausen.

FC SKBC return to FFAS Senior League action on the 22nd as they face Tafuna Jets. The match is set for 19:30 SST.
This is really interesting, great stuff!

October results for FC South Korean Baptist Church

For FC SKBC October would prove to be their busiest month, with matches in the FFAS Senior League, Champions League and the President's Cup. It was not what the team was hoping for in results where they struggled in league play by going 0-2-2. Despite that strugle and the failure of the O-League, Clausen's boys finished off the month strong with a 4-3 victory over Tafuna Jets in the Presidents Cup.

The month of November kicks off with a cup match against Vaiala Tongan. Also the 2014 FFAS Senior League is at its last leg with four more matches. FC SKBC will finish off the season on December 3rd against Taputimu Youth as the away club.

"I am glad October is over that was a hard month on us due to call ups and the O-League, I am ready to finish the season up.- Evan Clausen

FC South Korean Baptist Church are currently in first place by two points. Will they be able to hold on to the top spot with four matches remaining?
