Griffo Thanks for the support!

LFC yeah it could have been better if the damn national team didn't take half my squad.
Goal bonanzas seem to happen a lot in this league. I'd love to be a fan.

FC SKBC Do The Double

Pago Pago- A week after American Evan Clausen lead South Korean Baptist Church to their second straight league title he would give the club another piece of silverware to the clubs collection.

Terrance Maiava was the best player in the stadium on a beautiful December afternoon during FC SKBC's 4-0 route over Taputimu Youth. This victory capped off another exciting season for soccer fans here in American Samoa.

The midfielder (Maiava) put in a superb performance for his side and will always remember this two goal performance. During his time with Clausen he made thirteen apps while scoring five goals.

"I am very proud of this club and how they worked so hard to finish the season this strong. They are ready for a nice well deserved break.- Evan Clausen after the match.

There are strong rumors that he (Clausen) will be leaving American Samoa within the next few weeks. After a good season a few clubs in Oceania have been in contact with him.

Wow I can't believe how well 2014 has been for me. I want to thank Mr. Lui for this grand opportunity with FC SKBC. I have learned a lot in this year and it has been a struggle as we are an amateur club. This brings me to this next thing.

Around the first week of December I meet with the board to announce my resignation from the club. As much as I enjoyed this I just feel that the club will never go past their amateur status and that makes things hard for a manager. I wasn't even being paid and had a side job. Now with the success of this club I have been getting offers from clubs in New Zealand and there were a few I could not refuse.

I have interviewed with a few clubs and I even accepted an offer. Now I will not say who it is at this time but I will just say they are a decent club. I will be joining them in a few days and it will be mid season. With five matches in they are currently sitting in 5th place.

I want to let the few FC SKBC fans know that I will always remember the club that started off my career. I wish them all the best in the next few years. Hopefully the new manager continues the good things that are going on.

American Head Coach Joins The Wests

Whitby- Ten days after Matt Chandler left to club for Lower Hutt City AFC the board have found his replacement. Chairman Jose Maria Del Nido announced yesterday that they have came to an agreement with 27 year old American Evan Clausen.

For the 27 year old American, Western Suburbs is his second club that he has managed. Previously he coached FC South Korean Baptist Church of the FFAS Senior League 1 in American Samoa. During his time in American Samoa he lead the amateur club to their second straight league title as well as the FFAS President's Cup.

"We are pleased to welcome Evan to this club, he was the right fit for the club."-Jose Maria Del Nido. The higher ups seem very pleased about this hire and are looking for him to get the club a league title.

When interviewed by local press Evan said that he was excited to really get his career going and wants to bring glory to the club. The formation that will be used is a 4-2-3-1. This is his favourite formation to use and should be deadly as his FC SKBC club scored tons of goals last season.

He makes his debut on 21 December against Wellington United.
So this team is in the top division in New Zealand? If so, how many teams can qualify for the OFC Champions League?

Sadly they are not and can't go to the O-League due to no promotion to the top league. Stay tuned for an update about my feelings on this and if I am happy with the club. I think 3 or 4 qualify

Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday too me. Today is my 28th birthday and it sucks. I have been away from Chicago and the United States since 2013. It is quite lonely here with out the friends or family celebrating with me. This is my second winter, while summer here that I have not seen snow. As crazy that is I miss the crazy blizzards of Chicago. Hopefully I will be back...

After taking this job with the Wests I almost decided to quit and I still keep thinking that. The club is a wreck right now, even though I brought in my two best players from FC SKBC we still suck. Since joining we have gone 1-1-2. The fans hate me because I am a stupid hire. Time to prove these people wrong.

Anyways after talking with a few friends back home I was told to not give it up. This team and League ARE much better than where I started. I am now getting paid and that is what matters. They are paying me $22,500 a year after tax. I am going to keep on working hard to get a better job. Hopefully upper management keep me on after the season. I really want to work hard.

Below are the results from my first four matches. We are in sixth place.
Loving this story mate! Not great results in your first four games, but I know you will pick the points up soon. I will be following from now on :)
