Walter Thanks, I hope I can too as it will be a great challenge

Toonman Thanks

Pokarioboy Thanks, It will be fun. Hopefully I can stay for 5 seasons or so.
I would be furious if I didn't get that trophy, I would have probably signed on for another year, won the title and then walked out!
Brisbane roar, what a club. If you can do anything like they did irl, you will bltz the league.
Griffo Dude I was pissed they wouldn't let me stay but its my fault not winning it early. I had to leave because I doubt a club like Brisbane would have came calling.

fzemdegs I am hoping that as well. Just need to go from last to first lol.

First Press Conference

Well well well. Today is my first ever press conference. In the past when I joined a club I never got anyone to ask questions or whatever. This is new and nerve racking at the same time. This jump from a semi-pro club in NZ to one of the most well known clubs in Australia is just crazy. I hope I make a good first impression.

"Welcome to Australia, Evan, are you enjoying things?"

"Absolutely, Brisbane is a lovely city and the people here are very nice, I have had no issues adjusting thanks to being in the Southern Hemisphere for the last few years."

Alright, Evan, let's begin the questions. First, let's talk about your new job. What are your feelings on being the manager of the Roar?"

"I absolutely love this. I am honored that the board gave me an opportunity to manage such a great club as the Roar. At such a young age it is an honor that they have given me the keys to this club. I know this will be a huge jump from the Wests and I am ready."

"Some believe you are too young and inexperienced for a job like this, what do you say to the critics?

"I understand some peoples thoughts and that is fine with me, I want to show that the last two clubs were not flukes and this step up will work."

"What are your long-term plans and short-term plans for Brisbane, if any?"

"Well this season I am looking to get this team out of the bottom and into the playoffs. In a few years I want to compete for league titles and then Champions League glory. It's going to take time but this club has the tools to get back on top!"

"A little bit too ambitious, don't you think? Some might think you are just pleasing the fanbase."

"Not at all honestly, we can achieve success within 5 seasons. I have emailed the players and staff my 5 year plan and everyone is behind it."

"What kind of soccer would you want your side to play?"

"I like using a 4-2-3-1 and attack, attack attack."

"What can we expect from you in the transfer market? Are there any positions you want to strengthen?"

"Attack and youth. The Aussie way of Marquee Players and a salary cap is easy to understand as it is similar to MLS and this won't be an issue."

"Alright, thank you for answering our questions, Evan. Good luck to you and the club this upcoming year."

"Thank you very much and The Dingo Ate Your Baby."
In your save is it Melbourne City or Melbourne Heart?
The Heart. I am still using the db from the March update.
congrats for your new job mate!
Good update, hope you do well at the roar :)
AAN Thanks man

Pokarioboy Thanks for the support.

Roar announce 2016/17 fixtures

BRISBANE- The supporters of Brisbane enter the 2016/17 season with a lot of new hope. After last years dead last finish, the board made some changes and brought in a new manager. American Evan Clausen is the man in charge of turning the ship around for the Roar. The club is not expected to make any noise this year as the betting groups have the team at 5-4 odds to win it all. They are predicted to finish in 9th place.

BRISBANE- American manager Evan Clausen has made his first major move in his time with the Roar. On the First of July he was in contact with 28 year old Emmanuel Ledsma. The Argentinian was released by Reading where he made 20 appearances between 2013-2016.

"This is a magnificent capture for us here in Brisbane, I have spoken to Emmanuel and he is delighted to be joining the club," said Clausen.

Ledesma is expected to be part of the starting XI on day one of the season and contribute. As he is a Marquee player there will be a lot of pressure on him. The fans are already expecting a turn around this season and he should be the key to the clubs success and failures.
