Man United interested in Juventus star

New Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is interested in signing Chilean midfield Arturo Vidal from Juventus.

Both Manchester United and Juventus are in talks about a possible fee for Vidal to move from Italy and settle down in Manchester to hopefully further his career, however neither club have yet announced that they have made an agreement on a fee for the player.

Vidal returned to Italy after finishing his World Cup duty, in which he helped Chile reach the last 16 of the tournament to sadly go out on penalties to the host nation Brazil and the player has told Chilean reporters that he is hoping to improve even more this season whether it'd be at Juventus or another club.

van Gaal in hoping to strengthen his midfield and defence before the start of the Premier League season as the experienced Dutch manager is not happy with Fellaini, who transferred to United from Everton last season but failed to live up to his 27 million pound price tag and received abuse from the United fans claiming that he is 'not Manchester United standard' and van Gaal agrees with their opinion.

Fellaini is hoping to impress new boss Louis van Gaal after a dreadful season under David Moyes.

Vidal looks like the perfect partner for new signing Ander Herrera as van Gaal has made a few hints that he will be playing a similar formation to the one he played managing Holland in Brazil, with three central defenders, two wing backs, two central midfielders, an attacking play-maker and two forwards which Vidal would fit very nicely in.

We will bring you more on this story when we get the information, but you should except official announcements to be made by both clubs within the next 24 to 48 hours, it's going to be a very exciting transfer window for Manchester United as they try to rebuild a broken squad.
Vidal would be a good signing, but go for Pogba!
Again, another really nice update!
Vidal would be a great signing :D
@Tallery: I'd be happy with either lol.

@Pompey: Thanks man<3
Pogba, you'll get him imo. #PlotTwist
Lol Shaw wasn't crying cause Hodgson had picked him. He was crying cause he joined United.
"Wait, I joined Manchester United? NOOOOOOOOOO!"
Lol jk. Get VIDAL! He's a beast.

van Gaal greeted with open arms after a confident first press conference

Louis van Gaal was greeted with open arms by Sir Bobby Charlton as he took his first press conference as the new Manchester United manager.

The new manager had only just arrived in Manchester when his conference was scheduled after his Netherlands World Cup squad finished 3rd in the whole competition as they beat Brazil in the 3rd place play-off which the Netherlands dominated throughout and fully deserved to have the right to say they finished 3rd in the 2014 World Cup.

Many fans were glued to their TV screens around the World as van Gaal entered and was greeted with open arms by Sir Bobby Charlton, who later had a picture taken with van Gaal. The 62 year old then spoke highly about Sir Bobby Charlton saying the following to begin his conference;

"I would like to firstly thank Sir Bobby Charlton on welcoming me to this special club. He is a huge legend for Manchester United and I admire all the work he has done for the club. He is a very important man who I hope I will see many times throughout my journey here at Manchester United."

van Gaal took many questions from different sources of media, such as Sky Sports, BBC Sport, The Metro and The Sun. van Gaal was very confident in what he said and answered the questions truthfully, telling the World that Manchester United are still the biggest club in the World and that he is looking forward to the chance of managing them.

van Gaal(right) appeared much more confident than previous manager, David Moyes, who was sacked for failing the get Champions League football last season.

One question that was heavily thought after the conference was that if van Gaal thought he could win the Premier League in his first season in-charge, with the Dutchman pondering on a response, he told the media the following;

""I will do my best and that's what I can give, I cannot give predictions because you never know. It's the biggest club of the world, which I know already after two days. Predictions can mean one thing at the start of the season, but they mean nothing as something could happen to a club which sees them either climb up or fall down the table."

van Gaal will now start to run the club in his own way, with rumours intensifying about Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal joining the club in the next few days, van Gaal will need to get his shopping list ready and start a total rebuild of the squad which failed to impress last season under David Moyes.
As much as I hate to say it, I hope he does well. For you, not in real life ;)
Very realistic and detailed update, keep it going :)
Man, I knew this story would be good, and already I can see it going far!
Another really neat update, hopefully van Gaal can live up to expectations ;)
I hope in game Van Gaal lives up to expectations *cough title cough* real life Van Gaal can go suck a lemon if he thinks that he'll win the title with Fellaini in the team!

Juventus issue hands off warning as Pogba interest intensifies

Juventus have told van Gaal to 'look elsewhere' as they stand firm on the future of Arturo Vidal, who United are rumoured in signing.

Louis van Gaal was rumoured to be interested in making Vidal his third signing this season however both himself and the club have been dealt a huge blow as Juventus have said that Vidal is not for sale and will not be leaving Juventus anytime soon as interest intensifying on the signature of former United midfield Paul Pogba.

Pogba, who is only 20 years old, is a main transfer target for some of the top European clubs, with current Barclays Premier League champions Manchester City rumoured to have submitted a 24 million pound bid for the France international putting his future in doubt at Juventus, leading to Juventus wanting to keep Vidal.

Vidal has not commented in public on the situation surrounding him but his agent has spoken out for the Chilean saying the following;

"My cilent is flattered by Manchester United's interest but he is enjoying his football here in Italy, so a move to England is not likely this season. He also has unfinished business here at Juventus and is looking forward to kicking off the season once again in a couple of months."

Vidal(left) and Pogba(right) have formed a great friendship with eachother but they may be spilt up this transfer window.

As this news has just hit social media, many journalists and fans are now pondering who van Gaal will pursue his interest in next as the club are in need of a few more players before the season kicks off, with Arjen Robben currently a possible target for the Dutch manager but no bid has been submitted yet.

Vidal is going to spend another season with the Italian champions but his agent did not rule out anything next season, so Manchester United could pursue the Chilean once again next season depending on the outcome for both the player and the club.
Hopefully you can still sign Vidal, but if you have to massively overpay, go for somebody else ;)
Shame about Vidal, but hopefully you can get Pogba instead, who is fantastic too ;)
As much as I'd like you to go with the South American option.. I still think you'll go with Pogba for some reason...
