Welcome!

Hello and welcome to my first FM15 story! Unfortunately my previous story, 'Manchester United - The Dutch Revolution' hit a stand-still due to me starting College meaning that the amount of free-time on my hands was limited. However, as my first half-term is approaching, and that FM15 is just around the corner, I am delighted to be back into the world of story writing and I hope you all enjoy what is hopefully going to be a very long and successful story!

The Club

It's pretty obvious right? Well, if you didn't already know, I will be playing as Manchester United! Why? Well for numerous reasons. They are my favourite club, I have supported them all my life (alongside Stockport County) and with all that's going on in real life, I thought it would make for an interesting story. I also wanted to continue from my final FM14 story, but of course with the updated squads.

I couldn't resist the temptation of managing Manchester United with the new signings Louis van Gaal made ;)

Also, the club have by far the best history in English football and with the amount of expectation from the fans each season, it would make for a great challenge to regain their belief by climbing back up to the summit of the Premier League and rightfulyl regaining our Premier League Title from Manchester City.

The Manager

Again, like my section on the club, if you can't tell who I will be playing as well, I'll just tell you here. Obviously, I will be playing as the new manager Louis van Gaal! I think it is more realistic and will be more challenging to be Louis van Gaal as he has only just started managing Manchester United and due to the amount of experience and confidence he has in himself, everyone expects him to be an instant success at the club.

Louis van Gaal is in my opinion, the best man possible to rebuild the broken Manchester United squad from last season, and his tactical knowledge and awareness are added bonuses as he is a very well-known and respected manager, winning titles in the World's biggest leagues. It is going to be interesting to see what he can do over the course of the season.

Enjoy!

And now that is all finished, I really hope everyone here enjoys reading this story as much as I will writing it! But for now, adiós!
Good luck Josh, even though it is United....

van Gaal: "We will be very active this window".

New manager Louis van Gaal has stated in his press conference that the club will be 'very active' in this Summer transfer window.

van Gaal has already done his evaluating of the squad which finished in 7th place last season and has already decided that he needs new players to work with in the team so that he can rebuild a 'broken squad'. Although van Gaal did not mention any names, it remains rather clear that he is interested in retaining the services of some of his former players from the Dutch national side.

When asked about certain names, van Gaal just smiled and said the following;

"You can name any player and I will not say who. That is for me and Ed Woodward to decide over time. In each window you need to be smart with your targets and we are being smart by not naming the players we are interested in. You see many newspapers saying that this club want this player and this club want that one, which realistically is never really the case."

The new manager has already got two new players to work with, as young full-back Luke Shaw and flamboyant midfielder Ander Herrera have already joined the club whilst van Gaal was still in Brazil, which van Gaal has praised Ed Woodward for as he believes that they are 'young and quality players'. Both van Gaal and Woodward were seen together posing for pictures which already shows that they have become good friends.

(Left to Right) Ander Herrera, Louis van Gaal and Luke Shaw were all present to answer questions from journalists and fans alike.

van Gaal was also asked about his views on taking the club back up to the summits of the league, and the Dutchman responded with the following;

"I will do my utmost best. That's what I can give. I cannot give predictions because you never know. It's the biggest club of the world. Within two days, I know already how important Manchester United is but also how important the sponsors are. I have to work, I have to prepare a team, I have to adapt to this big club. It shall not be easy but I will do my utmost best and, when you see my career, you can see what I have won. That's all I can say. The future shall show if I can do that again."

"The owners and the CEO have a lot of confidence in me. They have come to me and I explained my philosophy and they were excited. Because of that I'm here. We have to wait and see if I can fulfil this expectation of those people and the supporters. The fans are very important, I know that. You cannot predict. In the world of football you cannot predict. Nobody could have predicted the Dutch did so well, nobody would have predicted Germany would beat Brazil 7-1. You know that so... why do you ask?"

van Gaal and his coaching staff look ready and excited to begin the preparation for the upcoming season, and with a lot of pressure on their shoulders, we should be seeing the Manchester United of old returning very soon! All we can say here at MUTV is that it is going to be one of the most exciting seasons in Premier League history.
I reckon Di Maria and Falcao could become very good players if you decide to pursue them ;)
I hope you start just as poorly as United did in real life really well and get this revolution going ;)
Great update, hope you sign some actual world class players!
@Justice: Imagine what they could add to the squad... ;)

@Neal: Oh Neal ;)

@Tallery: Thanks man, same here!
