September: Cheating life...
Now I am going to come out and admit it. I feel that I have cheated a tad on this save due to not fault of my own apart from having a computer which seems incapable of handling the new 3D match engine without having a hissy fit and crashing my game. I have played this month now a total of four times as every time I got to the Lincoln game, the game decided to produce a runtime error, resulting in the game crashing and all progress being lost. This has meant that the month has gone many different ways until we have ended up with this final set of results, which is by far the most positive of all the results I earned.
The match against FC Halifax stands out with the Yorkshire club being tipped to gain promotion, it was a very good result for us to The Shay and come away with a point that we fully deserved. The game against Eastleigh went as expected and so did the game against Dover. Dover are languishing near the bottom of the league we were fully expected to hammer them despite having only just joined the division. Lewis Chambers showed that he deserves to get a look in the team as he repaid my faith in giving him a starting place by scoring a brace. Surprsingly for this season, Marc Newsham managed to get on the score sheet albeit from the penalty spot. He has been a huge disappointment for me this season and maybe I put him on too high a pedestal last season which he is slowly falling from.
What I have noticed with the team is that they are slowly becoming fatigued which means they aren’t playing to the standard that I know they are capable of. This does however mean that some players are getting a look in as they are being used as part of a rotation system. Players such as JJ Wilson (on loan from Colchester United), Lee Hendrie (former Aston Villa player) and Zak Mills are getting some game time here and there. There have been some rumblings from some players about lack of game time. Unfortunately, former player of the month Stefan Gallinski has decided he wants to find first team football elsewhere. This is quite frustrating as he was quite a good backup player and was used as a player who was brought in to help us see out wins. I have managed to secure £12.5k for him which is profit as he didn’t cost us a thing from Derby before I joined Boston United. Other players such as Kaine Felix and Kegan Everington (signed on a free transfer from Lincoln) are fighting for a place which means one of them has to sit out. At the minute it is Everington that is missing out, which is annoying him to the max. He is desperate for game time and will really have to make the most of the chances he is given if he is going to get the impressive Felix out of the squad.
