Paderborn: Born to Win

It's that time of the year week again, for a Paderborn update! We've got lots of good results, our form didn't drop; and that's mostly thanks to playing all the lower mid-table teams in bunches rather than in at a time inbetween the impossible matches like Bayern (Who thankfully I played first) and what not. You'll have to apologize my update style aswell, I swear I'll go back to doing the highly definitive ones in the next updates, I just needed to dish this out faster - and here they are, OCTOBERS RESULTS:


Not bad overall, Stuttgart were actually in 15th place in the League but their squad is quite tough so they thumped us. The Union Berlin Cup match was fairly easy goings, though we missed plenty of shots, and I mean if our accuracy was actually any better we would have probably won every game we've played in, but that's just football ain't it though.

The dream didn't last long, being top of the table and what not. Bayern and Schalke finally overthrow my "reign" and de-crown me, Dortmund and Leverkusen might do the same in a few games, bleh. If we get Europa League football I'll still be overachieving with the Club, but I just liked the sound of "Champions League money revenue" to get a few hot names in the Summer... Oh well, a boy can dream.

October POTM: Mario Vrancic

Hes my highest goal scoarer along with Emre Colak, so I'd say so. But he only performs with Stoppelkamp dribbling through the fullbacks and placing the ball right on his head... I'd rate him in the same league as Donis Avdijaj, young and starts off with great stats.

November was a very productive month, couple of wins and no losses. The team seems to play really well with my 4-1-4-1, which is essentially parking the bus, keeping control of the ball and building the play through the flanks to bring it on home, and if we have to keep a one nil lead for 90 minutes, we'll do just that - as you'll see happen plenty of times through my stories.


Just like I said, the Bertha away game consisted of defending for 90 minutes, they had nothing but long shots and thus the game was a success for me, very Italian-styled. Against Frankfurt at home I took more offensive liberties, since I had the beastly pair "Stoppelkamp-Ducksch" on the pitch, these guys when they play together always score, and win me games, I don't know what it is... I'll have to sign Ducksch at the end of the season at all costs, hes on loan from Dortmund. Then the Leverkusen game happened... This is where the match engine starts to infiltrate itself into my stories, but I really can't do much about it, so take it as it is.
The Dortmund game was a satisfactory comeback from a 1 nil loss during half time break, so a point gained from them. This is what the Table looks like now:


Obviously if you always beat the smaller teams one way or another you'll find yourself in the top 4 of the table, right? I honestly don't mind that. Bayern can have their silly little title, all I actually want is Champions League football revenue for my bank account.

Novembers Player of the Month

Ouali can be summed up in two words - "Assists & Goals", hes been doing really well for me this month, putting good performances in from the shadows with assists for everyone, and high dribbling ratings per game. In second place I'd say we have Ducksch, but hes a bit inconsistent.

When you play Bayern try to injury their players Same with Dortmund and Reus stoke keep doing it to me on FM (If you can try to injury players idk but try anyway)

Decembers match report is coming up, you'll notice a quick shocking defeat against Wolfsburg who happen to be one of my bogey teams on FM, thanks to utterly ridicolous refereeing, a draw and 2 victories; which all together aren't that bad because we stay up high in the League Table - There's also been talk of the Club being taken over again, but I won't hold my breath on it.


I was winning, Emre Colak scored from a penalty early on, on the 22min I doubled up, they came back but I managed to score another one to make it 3-2... Then the booking, straight red - sent off, they scored another 2 and won 4-3... Absolutely shocking. The rest of the games were simple enough, did well all together; heres the league table:


Not bad in 4th at the moment, we've dropped a bit but it's only natural. Only 2-3 points away from 3rd and 2nd so it's not so bad either, I wonder where I'll actually finish by the end of the season... Pisses me off knowing I lost points against Stuttgart, currently 15th in the League; if they get relegated I'm taking their wonderkids for sure (Ferati, Werner, Davida etc).

Stoppelkamp! This isn't an award for only a month, this is an award for his long servitude of magnificent performances throughout my stay at Paderborn; he's THE key player - every time. I love the guy.

Stoppelkamp imo has been one of the Bundesliga's best players so far this season. Keep going, and we may have 5 big teams in North Rhine Westphalia
